That's one is one of my favs Kathy! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Yup, I just took a little taste and it is just about done - yummy, plus I'll have some to put in a salad tomorrow too!

Thanks for the tip on the crock pot liners - I picked some up this morning. It's working out great because this is a messy recipe. All I have to do is throw the liner out when I'm done - YES! :cool1:

They have turned me into a crock pot convert! Hallelujah! :cool1:

Nancy G did send me the crock pot cookbook. It's got something like 250 crock pot recipes! I can email it to you if you would like a copy.

Happy Anniversary!

I love the crock pot liners, too.:cool1:

Off to put the patio furniture in the garage attic. See y'all later.

My crockpot is making chicken right now. I used a recipe out of Nancy's crockpot cookbook - chicken with white wine and Good Seasons Italian dressing packet :stir: Boy, hope it tastes as good as it smells! :cloud9:

Mack and I continued celebrating our anniversary today with a movie. Before we left I stuck some chicken in the crockpot - some I had put in the freezer with leftover Sweet Baby Ray's - thanks to Dan. It smells delicious as well!!!

I love using ours once the weather gets cold. With just Jay and me we usually get three meals out of a crock pot batch of stew, soup, etc ... and it's nice and easy. :thumbsup2

It is so easy! I made a pot of chicken soup not long ago, chicken, carrots, potatoes, naby beans, black beans, seasonings - mmmmm - I should have frozen half of it. We ate it for 4 meals and had to throw away half. It was SO good!

Well, no luck for us with free dining. We are booked with points, but even if we weren't, we can't stay in a value resort--there are 5 of us. (Well, I guess I could book a suite, huh?) Thanks for the info, Bendy.:thumbsup2

Well, that all sounds great. Is "Nancy's Crockpot Cookbook" from Nancy G? I missed that. I will need to follow up on the thread more often if this is the case.

Tonight, Rob and I are headed out to dinner. Nothing fancy, Brick Oven Pizza. I won a giftcard at Bunko last month. We are celebrating 18 years of wedded (most of the time-lol) bliss.

Eighteen years ago, at this time, I was getting ready to walk down the aisle .........

:lovestruc Happy Anniversary Paige and Rob:lovestruc

Went with DH & DS # 1 to the sports bar to watch football, after some yummy artichkoe dip I took my beach chair and went out and sat on the beach. After some reading and sun worshiping I went back in to catch the end of the game.

We are grilling, steak and back potato.

You stinker sitting on the beach! We didn't watch much of the Pats game because we went to another hockey game! This one was very good too - they won 3-1. Jason had a goal. And our Pats won as well. They're now in first place in their division. Hey!

Hiya Goose! I didn't know you read that review already ... I don't think you posted ... or maybe you did and I've already forgotten?

New drugs have turned me into two of the seven dwarfs: Sleepy and Dopey. :rotfl2:

I did read and I thought I posted. Hmmm, I'll go and check.

I would love it also.. Please and thank you.

I'd be happy to Joanne. I'll need your email address though.

Nancy ... Nancy G ... can I have the recipe doo-wichie, too? :goodvibes

Thanks!

Done. :thumbsup2

So here's a picture of something I've been working on this afternoon. I needed lots of guidance from a very special BOBer but here is the end result:

My kids still get St Nick presents. Tradition in my family is that my brother and I used my dad's WWII boots for St Nick to drop off goodies. The rule is is that you keep getting gifts from St Nick until you have a child of your own and then he/she takes over. Since my brother never had children he passed his boot onto his Godchild, my Kristin.

Since it's getting harder and harder to get them stuff (my kids don't eat candy) I thought I would stick a Disney Gift Card behind each lanyard for the cruise next year. They'll be getting these lanyards, the GC, movie passes, dated ornaments, silly putty (they get one EVERY year), Fruit Roll-ups and some nuts. Stacy and Jesse don't have boots but they have their own stockings here for their gifts.

Anyone else have any fun holiday traditions they'd like to share?

Love those!!! Okay - now I officially wish our kids were going with us! It is so hard when they are in college. Their schedules do not match anymore nor do they match mine. Of course this cruise doesn't match mine either - I will just be taking off the days. We have some traditions - in the kids' stockings there is always chocolate money (was always in mine) and a real orange (was always in hubby's -even when money was tight) and a candy cane. We also celebrate Three Kings Day or Old Christmas. We all put a box of hay or some other food for the camels under our beds on January 5, and the 3 Kings leave one present which we find the morning of the 6th.

Those are great, MG!

My mom still sends Jay and me something each year for St. Nick's day. :goodvibes

We're crock potting today too! Trying a recipe for German beef stew ... and while that's slowly cooking I'm going to try my hand at making some pear & gorgonzola cheese tartlets - that's a Thanksgiving trial run so wish me luck!

Add me to the crockpot group today, doing the pulled pork thing. No american beer here, so had to use one of Sean's Buggies (boddingtons) and sweet baby honey bbq. Sean said it tastes good, we'll find out in about an hour.

We are doing a family gift this year for Christmas. A Wii and a Wii fit. I want to get Sarah a game though, any suggestions?
