Nancy - Is Chuck really embarrassed? Poor guy. Tell him we've all said silly things before now and to bite the bullet and come back on. We promise not to mention it again:rolleyes1

It's ok Karen. He doesn't post that much anyway. He's really shy (just like me...cough, cough,) and just wanted to make conversation with Christian. I'm sure he'll check in again sometime. I'm certain of it. :thumbsup2

Potato pancakes? - is that like a rosti?

Now I have to google Rosti. :cutie:

Edited: Looks the same to me Karen. We make ours with onions in it also. I also love making (and eating) zuchinni pancakes the same way.

Do you do a real tree of artificial?

Me or Karen? I have artifical trees Janice. Our main one is almost done. The tinsel is on but we still need the tree topper which is Kristin's job and a few more ornaments towards the top. Chuck still has to hide the pickle ornaments too. :thumbsup2

Real trees or artificial, anyone's question.

Packers are on, have to watch & DIS.

Prelit or you put on lights?

Oh ok. Got it. My answer is that I would love a real tree but the fragrance makes my throat hurt. My nose loves it, my throat hates it. ;)

Prelit. :thumbsup2

I love the smell also, too bad it bothers you. The best part of a real tree is going out and cutting it down. Our friends have a tree farm, we do the wagon ride out and walk & walk til we find the right one. Last year it snowed so hard, but it was the most beautiful thing.:lovestruc

Artificial as real are way to expensive. Pre-lit, I hate putting lights on a tree. I found a candle that smells pretty darn close to a real tree so I just light that.

Nancy you still home all alone?

Just me and Cabo. :dogdance:

Sounds wonderful. I would love to do that but then donate the tree to someone else. :)

Hiya Becky! Happy Birthday.

Hey everyone. I am just checking in. I can't keep up anymore with being so busy. I try, but fail miserably!

Have I missed anything???

We're artificial and put the lights on ourselves (well actually Suz). We cheat with the light though. Suz puts net lights on after every section of tree is put on the "post". It is a lot quicker putting on and taking off the lights.

Apple sauce:scared: - we dont get that over here. We think its wierd!:scared: Ellis had a kiddie meal in Epcot last year with a tub of apple sauce - he said "what am I meant to do with that?":rotfl: We'd only have that on a dessert - not on anything savoury:scared: - oh! - one exception - we have apple sauce on pork (but I dont like pork anyway:rolleyes1 )

We'd consider those tubs of apple sauce to be a filling for an apple pie, or maybe mixed in with a smoothie but nothing else

My husband went to West Point (the United States Military Academy) and has a great apple sauce story. I won't spoil his telling of that one. When a fellow cruiser heard the story on the SSMC 08, she had the kitchen make apple sauce for him at every meal after that. He said it was really good apple sauce too - very chunky! Suffice it to say for now, his mom was divorced and raising 3 boys on a teacher's salary. Apple sauce might as well have been a green vegetable for them. It was at every meal. We always keep it here at home too - he says it goes with everything. I rarely eat it by itself, but I love it in oatmeal. I guess it is all inw hat you grow up with which for me was mostly Spanish cuisine.

So what do you do with it?:confused3 What do you put it on?

Apple sauce - in oatmeal, or I use it in recipes in place of oil. It works to bind things but cuts the calories way down. We use unsweetened of course.

Do you like tinsel now Mimi or is it still not so pretty for you? :)

Need another idea? Chocolate is a vegetable. Chocolate comes from a bean, and a bean is a veggie. :goodvibes

Sounds real nice Mimi. Cozy up on the couch with your lovey and watch a great holiday movie. ;)

Should I keep a list now. Thanks Bernie. Maybe with the sales of this book I can upgrade to a verandah from my free window cabin. :thumbsup2

He's not mad, just embarrassed.

I'd love to see a picture of Hershey. (Cute name BTW).

I was hoping some of our malls would open up right after midnight like some others do. Kristin wanted to hit up the outlet malls in Gurnee Illinois this year. They open at midnight too.

I'll upload one to photobucket so I can put it on here.

Nothing you can't catch up on when you have a few minutes. Nothing major anyway. Just glad to see you here.

Good idea Jeff. Never thought of that one. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :lmao:

for years i told robin to cremate me and throw my ashes in bay lake at wdw.
but ever since we took our first cruise in 2001, i've been telling her just dump my ashes over the side of the ship.:thumbsup2

so if you guys see her and Sully dumping something out of an urn on the bob cruise, you'll know.:sad1: :sad2:

That's actually kind of sweet. I like the idea of being in Bay Lake forever.

they had NO scar.... therefore NO chance.:cool2:

what you cant see in the pic is the swarm of ladies being held back by security. it was very "elvis like".:cool2: :cool1:

I was wondering about that. :confused3 Wow, lucky Robin got to go home with you!

no more tuna???:sad2: :sad1:

well then, i'm starting my "bring back the tuna" campain now.:woohoo:

this will be my last post on this thread till the tuna posts again.:wizard:

see you guys next oct..:grouphug:
if you want to talk to me, i'll be on thread #13

Yea, right! Just you and Big Red! :lmao: But I agree - BRING BACK THE TUNA!!!

I hate snow!!!

Actually, that's not true....I like snow....just hate to drive in it!!!!! :headache:
