Hey Guys saw this at the top of the page

NEW CANCELLATION POLICY - Effective 8/31/08

If you need to cancel your cruise and are within the penalty period for doing so, Disney Cruise Line will no longer allow you to change the date. You will be required to cancel your existing cruise and absorb whatever penalties are in effect and rebook the new date.

Does this mean no more booking ghost dates?

Ok, I want to share one more photo....since none of you knew me when Thomas was a baby....

Yep....they've been talking about this over on the DS. Was hoping to rebook the BOB whilst on board. Have to wait and see if we can!

Think they done this because of the new ships. They have people booking on board and then continually reboooking in order to move the date forward.

We had a small earthquake here in NJ yesterday morning, but it was only 2.1 and I didn't feel a thing. I think it was located near central NJ(north of us).

We felt it in Greece too - we got a 5.4 - ww woke up to the bed shaking:eek:

i have to feel for Karen because but for the odd Heavy shower the weather here has been HOT HOT HOT:rotfl2:

I told you - it always happens - as soon as I leave England the sun comes out:confused3

so you mean the weather is just like karen..HOT, HOT, HOT:love:
(that should get me a hug on the bob cruise, EH?)

Spent most of the afternoon filling out an accident report, police report and making a visit to the township doctor all because some Poodle decided to take a chunck of my leg. Now I have to wait until the Board of Health calls and fill out a report for them as well. The homeowner thought his Poodles (2 of them) were out in the backyard, little did he know, he wife had let them in and the dogs were in the utility room where the water meter was located.

Needless to say, one of the Poodles is not fond of meter readers, or mailman, as I found out. The mailman was coming up the walk as I was leaving the house, he told me the same dog went after him before.

My leg is a bit sore and swollen around the bite area, but other than that, I feel OK. I should have a nice black and blue mark in a day or two. The dog had all his shots and is in good health, but the doc gave me some antibiotics to take just to be on the safe side. :thumbsup2

The joys of my job.........:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Ouch! - hope you're all better now:hug:

Yes Sir,another beautiful day (sorry Karen)....:rotfl2:

 and yesterday and today is solid rain - I'm doomed with the weather:sad2:

Wait until I get home and Tell Algae....he will be so excited. I won't be able to keep him still!:lmao:

No! - not Big Red! - not near my Planky:scared1:

tell algae it will be well worth the wait.;)
i've got a feeling about those two.:cloud9: :cloud9:

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

Well the way we've been doing this, the next one would be planned for 2011. We did 2007 and are doing 2009.

Mark your calendars kids, we're planning a reunion cruise for 2011. Feels strange since this one is still over 14 months away.

:cool1:

Does anyone have any bee sting remedies? Harrison and his uncle and cousin got into a yellow jacket nest a little bit ago and he is miserable. Harrison got about 10 stings and his uncle got 5 and cousin 2. Any ideas?

 Hope he's better soon

Mine and Karen's each will be 9 (those two got along great on the last cruise - as did the adults :thumbsup2 ).

Oh my goodness! - Jeff's said something nice about me:faint:

Any interest in a European KK cruise?

I'm bored of Europe - we likey the caribean!

Popping onto your thread a minute.....

I am thinking of joinging this cruise.

I was not going to do a cruise until 2010 but i just cant wait so Dh said go ahead and book one........:cool1:

I would like to have a year to plan as i work alot!
And the last one we took in June was spur of the moment and i missed out on alot.

So weird as it is before i go to the Cruiseline website.

I came to the CRUISE MEET thread to see which cruise i wanted to take.:rotfl2: Yes i have issue!......LIME GREEN ISSUES:thumbsup2

So later today i will be going to the web page to see what cabins are available on 3 different cruises that i pick from the meet and greet section!

I think i sailed with FAT ENGLISH GENT and Hockeychic previously.

Ooooooooooooh! - welcome :yay:

You're starting to sound like Karen.
Ok, back to the normal Jeff - full of insults:rolleyes:

Not sure if I'd want to do a Baltic Cruise. I keep seeing how Karen, Chris and Heather say how the weather is always cooler there. I want sun when I'm on vacation.

today - rain................rain................rain.............well, it is meant to be the hottest and dryest time of our year:rolleyes:

Well, we have finally settled on a cruise date, and the 10/24/09 BOB cruise is the one.

We had been considering the 10/10, but decided on this date just last evening.

After reading the cruise meet thread, it looks like it could be a LOT of fun! Looking forward to getting to know you folks as we overplan over the next 14 months!

Add me to the list!

Another new cruiser:yay: -welcome:yay:

Good Morning All...T.G.I.F... on 08-08-08!!!!

Oh Jen - thats a georgous photo:cutie: - he's so grown up now. Cant believe Ellis will be 8 in a couple of months:eek:

We are going to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. We have been going there for about 25 years. You can't beat 100 yard walk to the boardwalk, and not driving for a week.

Have fun!!! A former co-worker of mine retired and moved to Rehoboth Beach several years ago, she absolutely loves it there!!!

Well, I'm sort of caught up - I skipped through lots but if I missed someone or something then please accept these as an apology:flower3:

OK folks, caught up again for now. Time to get myself moving so Lina and I can be at Riverwinds when the doors open, TTFN.......:wave2:

From what Becky posted, it sounds like you'd still be fine booking a phantom date. Just don't move it to a date early in the year. If you put it out to the end of te furthest year you can book, the next year will be out before the 90 day window

example: Book a week in Dec 09 now, the 2010 will be out this fall/winter. That will give you 9 months prior to the penalty period. Move it to Dec 2010, then wait until fall/winter 2009 for the 2011 dates/rates to come out and move it again, still outside the penalty period.

I think this will only effect people canceling within 90 days of sailing (or is it 75 days?).

You could still book a phantom date and move it until you get the time you want.

Well, my weigh-in wasn't as bad as I expected, especially since I was up a couple of pounds on Tuesday. I did manage to lose 1/2 pound this week, a loss, is better than a gain!!! :goodvibes

Running late, gotta get ready for work now........:wave2:
