Hi guys. Sorry I haven't been around but I didn't have access to the boards in a hospital room! I had a really bad headache on Tuesday, then that afternoon my neck started hurting and when I got home I started with a fever. We went to the ER and I had a spinal tap and they found I had meningitis. It is viral so that is a good thing. I got home a couple of hours ago but am still sore. No work for me tomorrow. Can't go til Monday. So I'm sure I'll have time to catch up.

Hope you are feeling better soon :flower3:

We found out earlier that my former sister-in-law Jenn (age 36), suffered a stroke over the weekend and is still in the hospital tonight. When Jenn got home from work Saturday night she told her grandmother she wasn't feeling well and needed to go to the hospital, once a few tests were run, it was discovered that she had a stroke and she also found out she had a whole in her heart, that she must have had since birth. My mom is still waiting to hear if Jenn needs surgery.

That is very scary! How is she doing now?

Hey guys!

Sorry, I have been so busy lately getting everything done. I'm behind with everything!

I haven't had a chance to catch up yet, hope everyone is doing ok. Here's some pixiedust: pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: for those of you who need it!

I posted day one of my Las Vegas Trip Report. It may be moved to another board, I hope not, but if it does, the link may no longer work.

You can click on the link in my signature if you want to read about our trip :thumbsup2

I will definitely be reading your's and Mel's reports tomorrow while cooped up.:thumbsup2

Ok, Karen....you asked for it:

I never get tired of posting this one - DS at Mickey's Island Jam:

For some of the newer folks...my DS started kindergarten this year - here he is on his first day:

Harrison was walking by and said "hey, who dat boy?" I said Thomas. He said "oh. he like me. he colors. there's his tool box" There is a treasure chest in the background. I then showed him the picture with Stitch and tolk him that was on the Mickey boat. I asked him if he wanted to be a big boy like Thomas and go on the Mickey boat? he said "no I don't want to go pee pee in the potty."

OK, that's it for me tonight, good night all, see you in the morning.......:wave2:

Just as I was about to post the above message Hazel told me that Jennifer(my former SIL) is home from the hospital, but still has to have more tests run.

It's getting cold here tonight, too, and it's supposed to start raining soon as well. I hate cold rain. :guilty:

I'm having coffee and a peanut butter sandwedge for dinner tonight ... :thumbsup2

I had peanut butter and banana sandwich tonight for supper. I also had a coffee at the football field. It sure is cold tonight. We wrap up in blankets watching the kids cheer and practice football. I also had a coat on. It is 57 degrees now.. That is cold for me. I don't like cold weather. You would never know I lived in Massachusetts the first 21 years of my life. I sure don't miss that cold. Last winter I went up there and nearly froze to death. Once I am cold I stay cold. Di

Chris, I think the pic of Sam going down the slide has motivated Harrison. He wanted to see that pic several times and said he wants to do down that slide. i told him only "big" boys and girls got to go down the slide and he said he wanted to pee in the potty!!:lmao: Yeah, we'll see. I'll have to use a pic of that slide as my computer background for his motivation.

Headed to bed here as well. Glad Jennifer is home, and will still pray the tests will reveal anything needed and that she will be fine!

OK, I had to sign back on and share something funny with everyone. Hazel and I exchanged anniversary cards a few minutes ago. We bought each other the exact same card but at different Hallmark stores. We also added the #33 between the words Happy Anniversary. The card she got me, and I got her, were both the same cards we picked up first and didn't look at any other cards. I guess you could say were are in sync.

I'm glad she got to come home so soon. Hopefully all the tests will come back with good news.

You 2 are the cutest couple ever! That is incredible.

Well, I'm caught up now and headed to bed. My head is starting to hurt again so I hope I can sleep through it. Talk to everyone in the morning.

How sweet!

We do have Dunkin Donuts...but not on every corner. We have 1 in town...but I try to stay out of there! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I looked at the date and thought I needed to post :thumbsup2

I sure do miss my chocolate donuts from Dunkin Donuts. My father goes uptown to get donuts for me everytime I am there to visit. Their coffee makes me buzz. There is a Dunkin Donuts in West San Antonio but it is too far just for donuts. I dont need to get in the habit of eating donuts. too many calories. It is a treat for me when I visit relatives in Massachusetts. There is also Honey Dew Donuts on every street corner in the town I grew up. I use to drink Fribbles at Friendly's too when I lived there. I forgot about them. This summer Walt and I got a hamburger, french fries and sundae as a meal at Friendly's. Boy no wonder I gain weight when I go home. Di
