I should be working on my C.V. instead of Dissing:rolleyes1

Theres a nice job in a nearby school I might apply for.

Geez! - that might mean I have to go to work every day:scared1: :scared: :scared1:

Phew!....that was close...... I've just talked myself out of it....;)

hi all here is todays joke to put a smile on everybody face

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Eric, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over. Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong? He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'
Eric grinned.... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'
'No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'

So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T

I used to like Eric.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I shared this with my co-workers at lunch and they all loved it. We work for a software company so we've seen a lot of these just didn't know what to call them! :lmao:

RCL looks good to me! Oct 2011 maybe?:confused3 They seem to have good kids clubs too and I've only ever heard good things about them.

Theres no way we can afford a summer DCL cruise either - especially when Ellis becomes an adult at Disney next year - age 9:rolleyes:

RCL was the other cruise line I was seriously considering...the main two reasons we didn't go with them were

- kids' clubs weren't "guaranteed" to run all the time, and were not open all the time. DH and I had not had a vacation longer than 2 days by ourselves since DS was born - we desperately wanted some couple time. And, we were looking at off-season, possibly not enough kids for programs to run.

- I believe RCL's private beach area is actually on the island of Haiti, which made me a little nervous.

Their newer ships are looking VERY cool...hmmmmm...I may have to go request a catalog from them again :)

Their wines ok - at least they get that right:rolleyes1

Come to England instead and visit your cruise pals:goodvibes - we've got better buildings and museums than they have too:goodvibes

Someday, Karen....some day we will come over for a visit! We SO want to go around the UK and look at castles and stuff. DH is a big history buff...he's love it for sure!

don't work if you don't have to Karen...it makes you feel older than you are...:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have an extra ticket for SPAMALOT tonight, anyone
want to come with Bob and I?

Be in Syracuse by 7pm:)

We saw it in NYC and loved it. Have a great time Rose.

question for anyone who's been to hawaii.

is it better to do a cruise or just fly there and hop around the islands?

we've been wanting to go there for ages and IF i retire in 2010 that may be a good retirement trip.
hawaii's been on our "bucket list" and since i dont have much time left:eek: (bad heart you know), thought maybe we should check into it.:yay:
friends of ours are doing a 1 week hawaii cruise the day we leave for FL.(1 week from sat)
is a week enough time in hawaii??

any advice will be appreciated.:grouphug:

Hawaii is incredible! I've only been there once and we just did Oahu. A week wasn't enough!

NCL is the only cruise line that does a round trip Oahu to Oahu, stopping at Maui, Kauai and the 'Big Island'. Plus is that they actually stay over night at a couple the ports. Down side is, as someone already mentioned, the crew is All American and they have taken a lot of flack from not being as attentive. We have booked this cruise for next September, to celebrate my parent's 55th wedding anniversary, but only after being assured that the service and food have improved dramatically. We are also going to stay on Oahu for a few days after returning from the cruise.

Princess cruises from San Diego and there are other cruises from the west coast. They have a lot of sea days and don't actually stay in the islands very long. I think KarenNY has taken this cruise so maybe she will comment.

Maybe you want to start out by just visiting Oahu - it's worth the trip!

Yes, it's called Labadee. It's quiet safe, from what I've heard.

Is Cassie getting married?:confused3

cassie got engaged in february when we took her and the boyfriend to wdw.

he proposed in the rose garden at MK.
he asked us in advance "what do you think about me proposing to cassie?"
to which i replied "propose what?' you should have seen the look on his face.
:rotfl2: :lmao:

I'm sure it would have to be, otherwise their reputation would take a huge hit.

Which ship were you on? You sailed RCL, right?

Yes, we sailed on the Independence, but only to Cork, Ireland. Our friends Dave and Bev are great RCCL fans and have visited Labadee a couple of times.

We are travelling on RCCL - Jewel of the Seas, in May

We sailed Royal Caribbean last November, we went to their ther island Coco Cay, no where near as nice as Castaway Cay. When we were trying to eat our lunch, there were chickens jumping up on the tables and benches. It was kind of sickening if you ask me. A few of the ladies were screaming their heads off they were so scared. I didn't see anyone from the island do anything about the chickens either. :sad2:

You'll have to give us a report on the ship, then.....:goodvibes

Oh my, sounds a bit, um, more rustic than Castaway Cay.

How was the cruise otherwise?

Don't ask me why I'm asking all this now, I have an AZ/DL trip, a DCL cruise, a couple of Door County trips and (hopefully) a WDW trip to plan before I get around to another cruise....:rotfl:

Ok, on to another topic....an off-topic topic, but here goes....

DS's kindergarten class is trying to do a postcard project this fall. What they would like is to send postcards to people in different parts of the country (or beyond) and receive a postcard from them in return.

If anyone would be willing/interested in participating, would you PM your address to me? You will receive a postcard from DS's kindergarten class here in WI, and they'd love to get a postcard in return. Their goal is to get a postcard from each of the 50 states, and also see if they can get postcards from farther away!

No pressure, just hoping to help DS's class! Thanks for listening. :goodvibes
