I'm interested as well. I'm starting to wonder if DCL is getting out of reach for us. We are even considering taking DD on a Panama Canal on another line because of pricing, as well as "normal" cruises. I would like to try one of the mega RCCL ships, including the Oasis that is coming out. Definately will want to cruise at least once on the new DCL ships. As for them I think they said the new Panama Canal locks are set to open around 2015, 3 years after the 2nd new ship is done, so who knows maybe Sean and I will be heading out on that one if they decided to send one of the ships back. Don't get me wrong, nothing beats DCL right now, but they seem to be out pricing themselves. Of course it has been many years since we cruised on the fun ship, the only other line we have been on.

We've been saying the same thing. This will probably be the last DCL cruise for us for a long time. In this economy, I don't think the new itineraries will be a great succcess like the European ones in the past. There are couples that will probably sail but they just priced themselves out of the reach of a lot of families. Can you imagine taking a family of 4?

When you can buy a DVC contract for the same money and go year after year or buy a one time cruise? No brainer for us!

I decided to put in for a quote for the 4/18/10 sailing of the Wonder for my 55th Birthday cruise. Will wait and see what kind of price we get next week (10/14) when the prices are released.

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Eric, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over. Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong? He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'
Eric grinned.... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'
'No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'

So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T

I used to like Eric.

The BOBer Cruise is 10/24/2009 7 day Eastern Caribbean Itinerary. The ports of call are, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay.

I think I am confident in saying many of us use Dreams Unlimited Travel. You can access their site by clicking the banner ad at the top of this web page.

There are a few specials running right now. I believe you only have to put half of the usual deposit down to make a reservation and there is a shipboard credit bonus too. I think that varies according to stateroom category. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Cruises are a lot of fun. You can do as much or as little as you want, and I feel that it is truly a separation from the stress and vigors of work.

Oh and B.O.B. is just an acronym for Bash on the Boat. It is what the original few that planned to be together on this cruise decided to call it. It is strictly a DIS thing.

I about swallowed my tongue when I saw the base price PP for the Northern European! If I do this Itinerary I'll probably do it with another cruise line.
