Hey what's the latest you can leave the ship on the last day??

I believe...they want all out of the rooms by or before 0830. And will bring out the 'cattle prod' at 0930 to get all off the ship. :rotfl:

Got air fare! :woohoo:

Southwest was a little more expensive than 2009, but free bags, and 8 (or so) non-stop options to choose from...

Then what time do you usually end up back at the airport? I'm trying to figure out flight times. The nonstop flights on Southwest back to Buffalo are not very good this time around. Thanks.

Also how's the acquisition of new camera equipment going? Buy anything new yet? :rotfl:

Leaving early is new to us. We normally 'hang around' Down Town Disney before heading to the airport. But, the only direct flight through Southwest is leaving just past noon. So...we're going to need to get off of the ship fairly early (insert sad face).

Travel between port and orlando airport (MCO) is ~1 hour 15 minutes.

Also how's the acquisition of new camera equipment going? Buy anything new yet? :rotfl:

Well...havn't needed to 'toss you under the bus' - lately. But the week is still young. :lmao:

Brenda - AMEN! :thumbsup2

Kevin - Whoa Hoo! Thanks for the update. I was checking out SW this weekend but wasn't sure when Oct would be posted. I even downloaded DING. I just read if we go to New Hampshire or Rhode Island then we can get a SW flight direct to Orlando and cheaper! :woohoo:

Dave - Keep asking questions! I am taking notes. DH (Peter) LOVED Jordak's D80 design he did for you! I told him to join DIS and get on the photog threads. When he does I will let you know what his screen name is. Which threads or forums do you recommend? I got a Nikon D5000 for bday, Christmas and probably every holiday in 2010. I LOVE it! I am really excited to learn along with DH about digital SLRs. Peter knows way more than I do.

BIG Welcome to all who have joined in. :wave2:

I was watching a DVC webcast tonight, promoting new promotion - buy points get free cruise on the Dream with ocean view. They also talked a little bit about the WDW and DL Magic Kingdom expansion. I like Jay Rasulo's expansion description on you tube from the D23 conference from Sept 09 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08W5Os-Wnj0
Briefly, construction should be done in 2012. In the new Aurora area the kids make her bday cards to celebrate her 16th bday in her "Briar Rose Cottage". Kids can dance with Cindy in her new area. Belle is getting a restaurant that looks like the Beauty and the Beast ballroom. Did I hear correctly, Gaston is getting a Pub? Alcohol in Magic Kingdom?! :scared1: Well at least the boys have Frontierland and Tomorrowland. I like that there is going to be 2 lines for Dumbo and you can play carnival games while in line! Just wanted to spread the word in case you are planning on land and sea in 2012.

Hello, Donna and Tim. First, my prayers are with you as Donna under goes her radiation treatment. God is a very merciful God and I am sure that he will see you all through this.

Thanks Brenda.
Jason's 40th birthday is on October 27.

I am also looking for flights, but am hoping they will drop a little with a sale. My return flights will probalby be in early Nov so I haven't booked anything yet.

Page 2 - no more...:)

Been away for a little while. Work has been NUTS for both Shannon and I. Ontop of that we are trying to get things together for our Ireland Trip this coming weekend/week.:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: We have to still pack our bags but so far got the kids bags mostly packed (they are staying with the Grandparents while we are in Ireland).

I got our airfare for the flight down on October 21st through SW for around $92.00 (including tax, etc.) per person. They haven't released Oct 31st dates yet so we don't have our flights back yet.

P.S. >it appears that we have a lot of b-days (especially on 10/27)
>thanks for starting this thread, very helpful info and nice to see how
many kids are same age as mine

Good afternoon Brenda. I'm brand new to the DS website. I was wondering if you can start a kids thread for our cruise. I saw another cruise that had a separate kids thread under their cruise date. Maybe we could separate it by age. I can help update it, once I figure this out. It just seems as if there are a lot of kids already on here and it would be nice if they could possibly get to know names at least. Thank you so much for adding those cruise tips in your second post. As a 1st time cruiser, the suggestions were very helpful. Have a nice night!

Thank you so much! They are awesome!

Good afternoon. I was reading the thread and noticed that our kids are the same age. It would be nice for my kids to know another kid their same age (even if only by name) to hang out with at the clubs. It might make them feel more comfortable that first day. I'm trying to set up a kids thread here for this cruise. Anyway, my kids are Savannah and James. Savannah will be turning 12 while we are cruising 10/27 and James would of just turned 8 on 10/14.

I was wondering if there were any other couples that might like to link dining with Janet and I. We did this last cruise with two other couples and had a blast. We do have the late dining. If anyone is interested send me a PM. Looking forward to cruising this fall. Lois

Thanks Sandy, Jordak is really talented. Did Peter have one made up for the cruise? I think you mentioned it before but what camera does Peter have?

As for forums you can usually find me on the photo board. Lots of great people and great info over there. You both should check it out. I started a Nikon potd thread there as well

You will love the D5000!! From what I hear it's a great camera. All I can say right now is just practice, practice, practice. That's what I do and I'm just scratching the surface of this dslr world. I am working on HDR shots right now and hope to have that perfected before our cruise. Post processing is where the magic comes from but great composition makes things easier. Just remember that with a little cropping, adjust saturation, and a little sharpening you can turn a so so shot into great shot.

I would also like to extend a big "Welcome" to all the new cruiser that have joined us of late!! There sure are a lot of us Disers on this cruise!! :cool1:

Hey Kevin I'm starting think that this new friendship we have started is not very good for my health. Please give me some warning before you start tossing!!! Thanks.......:thumbsup2

Hey Dave...hope all is going well with you and yours.

Thanks Sandy, Jordak is really talented.

Some of the work you've shared that Jordak has done...is OUTSTANDING!! Does Jordak share any work on these boards - or a personal web site...if so, can you offer a link. I'd like to see some more. The creativity...WOW!!

I need some suggestions. Have done some research on shooting RAW instead of jpeg. I like the idea of using a full size computer to complete PP instead of the 'little brain' in my camera that will reduce file size/quality. Guess...my research has gotten me confused...maybe too much info/opinions. What software would you suggest starting with...maybe a share/freeware that has the ability of an upgrade later. When you have a few moments....would you comment - please.

Welcome to the new members.

FYI...to those on our Yahoo Groups web site. I've loaded two information files; ADR's and Disney Dining Plans. I know this is not 'cruise' info...but assume some will be spending some time at the parks. Hope this info helps.

Happy Thursday...the weekend is almost here. K

I know we have a way to go before our cruise folks but I woke up at 4:30 AM thinking about it. DW and I are so ready to sail now!!!princess:pirate:
