I think that sounds good. Last year we had a PJ Breakfast on the last morning (Castaway Cay). I think that was the only morning we could get. It would be nice if we could meet early in the cruise.
Paul
Sorry for sounding stupid but what's the lifeboat drill??![]()
The lifeboat drill is a mandatory drill that all passengers must attend, including children. There will be be bells that are sounded and you are directed to go to your cabin to get your life jackets. Put them on and then go to your muster station which is on your life jacket. After you are there, cast members will do a head count. They won't release the group until everyone onboard is accounted for. This is where you will meet should there be an emergency and you would be directed to the lifeboats.
Did that make sense?
Paul, when you say that was the only morning you could get, what did you mean? Did you all try to have it in a particular place or was this the only time that was good for most folks?
I'm not sure since I didn't plan this. This was just a guess. All I know is we all met (well maybe about 35 of us) at Lumieres Friday morning. Maybe more would of come if it was a sea day. It was still very nice and the person who planned it I think did a great job. I do remember her saying she had to go back & forth with DCL to plan this.
I think that it is good to meet earlier rather than later. I would like to have an intial meet on the first day, maybe after the sail-away party or lifeboat drill.
So, that make 3!!! We have a party Now!!!

FOUR WORDS --- It's a buzz kill
Brenda is...as always...perfectly correct. To satisfy Maritime law...prior to sailing...cruise ships must assemble ALL persons at their assigned muster station. Think...the fire drill you went through in grade school. Then, toss in a bulky and bright orange life preserver into the mix.
Directly after the drill...Disney puts together an AWESOME sail away party. You dont want to miss this. Everyone gathers on decks 9 & 10 mid ship. Id suggest having a good view of the Dumbo-tron.
Before you know it...youre waving good-bye to Port Canaveral, Jetty Park...then, out to sea. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Ahh Kevin you make it sound so exciting. I can't wait.... for the "out to sea" part that is
I think that's a great idea to meet the first day, but after the lifeboat drill is the sail-away party. After the sail away party (or at least for me) I'm hoping my luggage got to my stateroom so I can get ready for dinner.
My motto..."Where ever your at --- that's the place to be"
So...it sounds like the party has already started. Nan and I are in!!

This is soooooo right. Once, I was just finishing a massage when the lifeboat drill sounded. My friend and I looked like keystone cops trying to get dressed, get to our cabin, and then to our muster station. I was NOT happy. That was when they did lifeboat drills halfway through the cruise.
Needless to say, I had a lot to say on my comment card. The next time that I sailed on Carnival, the lifeboat drill was at the beginning of the cruise.
