10-21-12 Dream!!!

Our Saviours Catholic Community is 10 minutes south of the port. Sunday mass at 8 and 10:15 AM

Thanks! And that is practically next door to the Best Western that has 40% off parking at the Port and offers a Kennedy Space Center Package ($133 a night and includes 2 admissions and parking to the space center which would be $110 alone!) Score!!!

so where's max going to be while you're on the Dream?

i don't have to worry about my sweetie - DH is dogsitting!! :goodvibes

We have a woman who will sleepover and take care if our big old lumpy black lab, Chance. It adds $50 to every night we're away, but it eases our minds. He loves her!!

we also have a black lab....well, a black lab mutt, but she looks like a lab and acts like a lab (lets play play play play play - she needs a 10 year old boy!!), but she's got a lot of other stuff in her besides lab (not sure what - possibly german shepard).

as for when we're away, we had a terrible incident last summer when we were in the states for 2 weeks....since then we haven't put her in a kennel and i don't know what we'll do the next time we all go away together..

That is on my to-do list for today...call and make our big young floppy black lab reservations at the "puppy motel". My mom keeps our older dog but the lab needs a little more supervision. ;)

I know what you mean.....I have just 2 weekends to prepare for my business trip to Dubai (all dress clothes) which goes straight into the week at WDW and DCL ( mostly casual). I am thinking more and more that a trip to Walmart when arriving in the USA for some casual clothes may be necessary.....airline baggage policies are terrible.

I have heard in the past that it is only one item that can be dropped off per cabin. If you find this is the case upon, embarkation, you can give me your 2nd item and I will submit it from my cabin since I am not planning to do anything.

Biz trip to Dubai don't rub it in! I need a biz trip to Dubai the furthest I get to work is leaving my bedroom and walking a few feet into my home office where I stare at the pc monitor and if I'm lucky see a jogger pass by :)

business trips sound fun and exciting, but they get old really fast...
unless you're like the character in Up in the Air...

True it sounds exotic and exciting but I will be working 18 to 20 hours a day for an entire week. Have 1/2 day upon arrival to hopefully see something but not sure how much. And not looking forward to wearin a shirt and tie in 100 degree weather when moving in and out of buildings. Will need the vacation afterward.

Mom and Dad dog sit for us. After doing so in 2008, it led them to also adopt a retired racing greyhound. Max gets to be with family, and another hound.

I can appreciate that!

Back to dogs ... We have a lil dog... She's ..(boring) easy to take care of. Lol. Thankful for a friend of mine who always pulls thru and house sits for us!!!

However we just booked a 2nd cruise for my birthday in november ..(rcl) And thankful my mom will be here in town to stay with the dog and my DS. It is our very first time leaving him for more than 1 day!!! He is 7, so all will be fine... So I'm a lil nervous / anxious!!

Wow!!! That's awesome! He'll have his own little vaca with your Mom. All will be happy!

that's great!!!
next time we all go away, i think i might leave her with our former vet..
he's not our vet now because he left the practice to open up his own where he lives (which isn't very close to us)...
but he takes in one dog at a time if the dog is good (along with his own dogs - into his home), so i think he'd be willing to take our dog (he adores her...they have a long standing love affair :goodvibes )...

Congrats, Seirra! We were shocked by the amount we were refunded, and all we did was switch to a lower deck (same room style, though, 5 people is pretty limiting). With the $2100 I got back, I paid my tips, set aside my spending/excursion money, bought my youngest DD's AP, went to dinner a few times (and have a few more scheduled!), and set aside money for Food&Wine (that's lunch tomorrow, BTW!). Plus I bought a bunch of stuff ... Halloween decorations I'd been eyeing, a pool coverup, some crocs for DH ... I would have gotten my Halloween Party tickets, too, if we hadn't already gone.

My only problem was that I'd paid with gift cards in $50 increments (saved $200 over the course of the cruise, thanks to the 5% off with the Target redcard). They definitely refunded most of it to the gift cards! No worries, though, with Disney just a couple of minutes away, I'll definitely spend that much with them anyhow! I'm just glad I saved all the cards, and tracked them with the Disney gift card app!

Let's see if this worked...I decided it was time to change our avatar from Snoopy to Max. It was one of the first photos DW took, when we finally decided to take the smart phone plunge.

Very cute! (I'd put something on mine, but can't figure it out!)
