MaryJo--- I was so hoping that Will and Tara did not win AR2. They deserved each other. This past weekend in my area Friday and Sat were the same show. That is the first that happened. I don't have a favorite yet from AR 3. Though there are some very annoying people, like all those couples that are grouped together. By mistake I did read who won the race.

Wendy--- AR 3 is being rerun on the game show network here in the US. So it would have been taped in 2002. The pit stop was a castle, which I can't remember the name.

I am still undecided of what we are doing. Norm will usually go along with what ever I decide to do for vacation, so he is no help. If it's like other decisions I make the ship will be filled before I decide. I need to play powerball and then I can do both cruises. I do wish the 11 night was in the spring and then I would probably do both of the cruises. I will really miss my tablemates if I move. Someone is tugging at me to stay. The entire thing is giving me a huge headache.

Don't know if any of you know about podcasts but they are audio broadcasts that can be listened on PC's or MP3 players (I just know Eric will give a much better description!!) - anyway they did some great ones for the May4/5th celebrations and I have just found some for the July 17th celebrations at Disneyland
http://disneyland.disney.go.com/dis...ail?name=PodcastingSpecialEventDetailPageGold
They also include some stuff on the Make A Wish fundraiser on the Magic - they are reallly interesting.
Wendy

Denise -- Really interesting recording of the NPR program on border patrol dogs, and that's you and your dog on it. You are famous!!

Denise - thanks for sharing that, it was really interesting and I understand more about what you have to do now.

Eric, I will take over the Raddison group rate thing. I love staying at the Raddison. Anyone who is interested let me know. Also if Cathy is lurking, maybe she could send me some insider info. :)
For newbies, here's what happened last cruise. Cathy got a reduced rate for all Cruisetoberfesters. She got a "password" to use when booking the room, and passed that on to the rest of us. (At least that's what I remember. :teeth: )
Anyway, I'll do my best.
Avé

Ave, Kathy talked to the manager at the raddison and blocked out a certain number of rooms. The first step would be to ask how many people are going to stay there to give you an idea of the number of rooms to block out. Just my 02 cents. YMMV Mike

Nancy...how about the two Harvard law school graduates trying to interpret what "walk to the pit stop means" DUH!!! It is scary isn't it?? Actually Aaron and Adrianne are starting to annoy me to.....I like the two brothers....one staright and one gay...they are funny!!

MaryJo--- I so agree about those Harvard Girls, book smart but street dumb. I was wondering what the penalty was going to be.

I also like the 2 balding brothers and am starting to like the twins again. The older married couple annoy me. Plus the group of couple in the middle, I have a hard time keeping track of who is who.

Nancy

I'm so jealous of Nancy and Mary Jo. We don't get that channel and I'd love to watch all the old ARs. I haven't seen them all!!

Back from a Jays game which they should have won but didn't. Oh well it was a good game anyway.

Have a doctor's appt in the morning so don't have to get up early -- appt isn't until either 10:30 or 10:45am -- can't really remember and it won't matter anyway because he takes forever even though he doesn't start seeing patients til 10am.

Will miss the golf tournament at work though -- I'm crushed about that one.

Off to bed now though.

Eric - this may be a weird question, but here goes. Is fried chicken an authentic German dish? I don't remember it from when I was there, I was partial to the pork dishes and spaghetti eis (my all time most favorite and missed dessert ever!) Just wondering. We are going to Frankenmuth Thurs for lunch with my MIL, and although I love their chicken, I don't remember anything like it from when I was stationed overseas. fyi - Frankenmuth is Michigan's Little Bavaria, a fairly large tourist attraction for this area.

Rotisserie-chicken or oven-baked chicken are typical German dishes and you can get them nearly everywhere. In front of most large supermarkets you find vendors selling them from trailers or vans freshly off the rotisserie. Average price is about €2.50/$3.00 for half a chicken and it's eaten using your hands - forks and knives are frowned upon. I just had one last Friday.
Talking about Spaghetti-Eis:
You can make that yourself at home. Spaghetti-Eis makers can be bought in departmentstores. I can check out the prices, if you want me to.

And thanks for the link to the broadcast  but could you send us pics of your partners, please?

Ave,
thanks a lot for taking the job of Concierge for the Radisson. You can consider us as interested, but not yet committed. We won't be able to finalize our plans before December. We don't know wether we spend the night before the cruise at WDW or at the Radisson. Staying at the Radisson would mean that everybody had to stay up at least until midnight to celebrate Anja's birthday.
It also depends an where to drop off the rental car (Probably at MCO again).

We will more than likely stay at the Radisson the night before the cruise so would be interested in a discount.

Melody...love the new pictures of Amelia....I can't believe how big she is getting!!

Sarah said she thinks it is disgusting that they have Hooter's girls on the airplanes....Sam disagreed with her!! I know someone who just flew on them from Allentown and they loved it....you even got a full/free lunch!! Do they fly into Sanford or right into Orlando? Mary Jo
My best friend lives in Myrtle Beach and her husband convinced her to fly to ABE on them. All she said was, . LOL

They will fly directly into MCO. But their schedule will be limited. I hope they last here!!! I'd love the direct flight!

Of course they're sold here hot too. :teeth:
Or on the real Oktoberfest you get them accompanied by 1/4gallon-steins of beer.

Nancy...Sarah came into the room while the Harvard Law School grads were debating in the cab....she said what are they discussing....I said that the clue said that they had to walk to the pit stop.....Sarah said "but they are in a taxi" and just shook her head and left!!

Fiona...I have truly been enjoying the AR reruns however they go 7 days a week so unless you tape them, you have no life!!

Thinking of taking Friday and Monday off for a long weekend...just have to ask for the right moment to ask!!

Are we soon going to start making plans for NYC? I am working on trying to convince Norm to go but need to have a little more information.

Fionna--- I could try to tape AR for you starting with the next season which will be season 4 if you want. I'm not the best at taping but will try it if you want. What season's would you be interested in?

Norm and I have decided to stay on this cruise. We are going to look at doing another cruise between Feb and May as we could get 2 cruises in 2006 for what it would cost us to cruise on the 11 night in a cat 7. It is a tough decision to make and I fully understand those who are do decide to go on the 11 night. Since we have friends on both cruises, happy sailing to everyone.

Nancy

Glad to hear that you will be cruising with us, Nancy and Norm. I know what you mean about the price of the 11-day. For us in a Category 6, it would cost us $3200 more for 4 additional days. We could easily take a second full cruise for that much or even less. We do love Disney, tho, and have paid the premium price to cruise with the Mouse several times. We were so happy with our DIS friends last October that we didn't even think of moving our date.

Ave - we are interested also. We won't be able to confirm until after the first of the year (for a deposit and stuff) but that is when we bid for our vacation time. We haven't not gotten the time we wanted before (as no one here seems to travel in fall), but we have 2 new people with seniority over us here, so we just don't know! But I can't see us not getting the room if we get our 2 weeks, what difference does 1 extra day make!

I'm so happy that Norm and Nancy are staying with us! Sorry, Nancy, if I contributed to your headache yesterday! I'll treat you to a drink at the Castaway Club party to atone for all the aggravation I caused!
It's too soon for me to start thinking about the Raddison. Last year we arrived fairly late in the evening and so we stayed at a cheapie airport hotel for about $45. The next day we took the DCL shuttle and it was so EASY. We could probably do the car rental thingy but then you're stuck taking the van to the port and it becomes a hassle. We might consider it if we arrived earlier since we would then be able to join in the festivities at the Raddison. Still too far away to think about.......
We're still watching Season 2 of AR, but from what people are saying about Season 3, I know I saw it when it ran the first time. Those 2 brothers (gay/straight) were my favorites because they were always laughing about everything. I don't remember too much else, but I do remember who wins (not saying anything!)
