Hi Charlie,
please ask them to submit their info ASAP - I long to do an addition, I'm so sick of all the deletions ;)

Eric I sent the para sailing list to Fiona, but the mail was returned. I sent it to you just now, Mike

Blast my dental appt this morning - otherwise Eric I would have grabbed that 4000th off of you - only kidding!
Wendy

Wendy--- Aberdeen Scotland was just shown on Amazing Race 3 last night. It is a beautiful there.

Wendy

I would hate having to take you off The List :teeth: :rotfl2:

Eric-- Congrats on #4000!

Mike-- Thanks for passing along the cell phone list.

Why does it seem that the summer goes by so quickly? Josh is already starting summer band practice today, only two weeks till school starts.
I have the granddaughters today, so we'll drop Josh off at practice then head over to the park and play till time to pick him up.

Have a good day!

Colleen

Nancy...I was glad that the two guys won the Amazing Race 2 (or I could have lived with the brother/sister duo) but I couldn't stand that guy Will from Will and Tara.....what a jerk!! I really didn't remember the 2nd season too much but did remember the San Francisco part where Will was trying to lose the two guys and ended up screwing up....I was happy!!

I am enjoying the 3rd season and I do remember most of it but it is fun to watch again....just wish that they would give us the weekend off!! Although I do like not having to wait a whole week between episodes (even though I've seen them all)

It has finally cooled off quite a bit and will only be 85 degrees today but it is still quite humid. Mary Jo

We had 11°C/52°F this morning at 0540am when we drove to work and it didn't get warmer than 16°C/61°F :cold: Fortunately the forecast says it will be up to 27°C/81°F on Friday and getter even better for the weekend.
In Southern Europe people are suffering from 45°C/113°F and huge forest fires.

Eric -- Wow! I didn't think temperatures ever got that high in any part of Europe. I don't recall seeing anything about this in our news, altho maybe it would be on the weather page which I always ignore when reading the newspaper and I don't watch much TV.

jeanniec - got all your pm's and responded. Everything looks good. Disney Cruiseline, here we come!

Jean,
just have a look at a map of the Mediterranean: The southern tip of Spain nearly touches North Africa. For years there has been talk about building a bridge or a tunnel to close that gap.
When you fly over the Alps you can see that parts of the glaciers are slightly yellow: That's sand from the Sahara!!
We had temps in the upper 30ies C/lower 100s F two years ago in Frankfurt and in parts of Germany it was slightly above 40°C/104°F - And even this year we already had 37°C/99°F in Frankfurt.

And finally: Dou you know Bill Bryson? He once wrote that as a European you can easily make your country disappear - Simply travel to the USA. Anja and I always watch a lot of American TV when we're there and we rarely catch anything about Europe on the news :confused3

I didn't even know they had been filming Amazing Race over here. I must admit Aberdeen is lovely especially on days like today when it is sunny and warm! Just spent the afternoon updating my examresults book in preparation for the exam results tomorrow - lots of anxious children tonight.
Colleen
I hate how quickly the summer is going too - 2 weeks and I will be back at work - no more dissing during the day - how will I cope?
Eric - no way do I want off the list!
Wendy

Wow, WOW.....I go out of town for a few days and when I return, everything has changed! Well, I took a look at the new itinerary because it sounded so spectacular and although we are DEEPLY saddened to be losing so many fellow cruisers, John and I are sticking with the original October sailing. For me, personally - and I know many feel differently and that's fine - most ports-of-call in the Carribean are pretty much the same if you're only there for several hours. I am not a shopper and find many of the excursions to be similar. We adore Castaway Cay and prefer to sacrifice the new ports in order to keep our double-dip there. And I'm sure if the new islands turn out to be a rousing success Disney will incorporate them into additional cruises so eventually I'll get to visit them.
I can't tell you how very much I'll miss all the folks who chose the other itinerary, but I wish you all a wonderful time. (What will we do for a head waiter now?) And I hope you haven't actually cancelled the original cruise just in case you get a change of heart (keeping my fingers crossed). Last of all, I HOPE I DON"T LOSE MY WONDERFUL FORMER TABLEMATES!

Then you'd better refrain from snatching posts with two or more trailing zeros pirate:

Fortunately we have unlimted internet access at work and are allowed to use it within company regulations during breaks for private matters. We have a Company Agreement covering this topic - and coincidentally it was even partly written by me. I was a member of the Employees Council for more than five years and during that time we made that deal. And if they ever stop that I'll simply get one of those T-Mobile Sidekicks or a Blackberry :teeth:

Eric - this may be a weird question, but here goes. Is fried chicken an authentic German dish? I don't remember it from when I was there, I was partial to the pork dishes and spaghetti eis (my all time most favorite and missed dessert ever!) Just wondering. We are going to Frankenmuth Thurs for lunch with my MIL, and although I love their chicken, I don't remember anything like it from when I was stationed overseas. fyi - Frankenmuth is Michigan's Little Bavaria, a fairly large tourist attraction for this area.

MaryJo - have you seen that AVP is now going to have direct flights through Hooter's Air???

Melody...love the new pictures of Amelia....I can't believe how big she is getting!!

Sarah said she thinks it is disgusting that they have Hooter's girls on the airplanes....Sam disagreed with her!! I know someone who just flew on them from Allentown and they loved it....you even got a full/free lunch!! Do they fly into Sanford or right into Orlando? Mary Jo
