Amy,

Adorable picture of the girls. I can't believe how fast they're growing.

Amy and Renee, beautiful pictures of the girls.

Eric take care and enjoy the rest of your vacation. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

I wonder if there will be two Mexican nights on the dining schedule for the cruise? After all we are visiting two ports there.

Saw the NCL ship that was hit with the 70 foot wave on the news. Mike

Omy! All these little girls are just TOO CUTE! And growing so fast.

My sister's SIL was on the Norwegian Dawn. The SIL called my sister from South Carolina all excited telling them about it. Not sure if they stayed on board or got off in Charleston, haven't really heard any details. Scary stuff.

HI Everyone,
Amy love the new picture!
Time for ZZZZZZZ :upsidedow

Cardinal Ratzinger, you've just been elected Pope Benedict XVI!
What are you gonna do next?

His Holiness Looking Into the Camera And Holding Up One Finger:

I'm going on a Disney Cruise!!

Congratulations to all of our Catholic friends on your new pope. Will he get to take his housekeeper with him? :rolleyes1 (inside joke)

Hope that we do not encounter any rogue waves on our cruise. Our first Disney cruise was on the edge of tropical depression 12 in 2000 and the 25-30 feet seas and 50 mph winds were enough for us.

Eric, Anja and everyone else that are on vacation or going shortly hope that you have calm seas and skies. Mike

We are back from another great trip to New Hampshire and Boston. The weather was great and the company was even better.

It's back to reality this morning though so I'm off to work.

Happy Birthday, Van!!!! You share a birthday with my older daughter, Nikki!

Great show on Amazing Race last race last night. I have to hand it to the older couple....I never thought they would last this long and I like them more and more each week. Gretchen seems like such a nice lady and Lord knows she's had more than her share of hard knocks, but still they keep on forging ahead. I don't think they can possibly win since it always comes down to a footrace at the end, but I'm glad they made it this far. I also like the black couple....that was a very touching scene last night when she got her head shaved. She was all about "just do it and do it quick!" and he's like "are you sure you want to do this?" What a really nice couple. I was very disappointed that they came in first and didn't get a special prize. It's doesn't seem fair that every time Rob and Amber win, there's a prize for that leg, plus they'll probably win the million as well.
I wonder who's going off American Idol tonight? It's gonna be a tough one to call since everyone is so good. I love Anthony and the 2 rockers but did NOT like the eye make-up on Constantine last night. It made him look like a toned downed Alice Cooper!

Wow, our new Pope is a Germ......Eric and Anja must be so proud!

Well, another successful trip to New Hampshire.

Personally, I came back with A New Tie (which I believe I've mis-placed already) (it was a gift from Bette and Kim); a new crockpot (#5); a whole big bag full of Hamburger Helper (another gift from Bette and Kim) (although come to think of it, The Tie may be in the bag with the Hamburger Helper); Slow Cooker Helper (a gift from Peter and Jenn) and a minority interest in a Mickey Popcorn Popper. Some days it just doesn't get any better than that.

This morning was fairly busy, as it usually is after a short vacation. I'm trying to catch up on the newspapers, email, etc., just before I have to have my afternoon nap. It's been tough, but I think I should be able to pull this one off with no problem.

At lunch time, I played one of my more favourite games called "Let's Go Through The Garbage". It's really interesting to see what the Stay-at-homes had to eat the whole time we were away. This time it was only five days so the volume of trash wasn't all that big... it gets tough when we go for a week or two because then the garbage gets pretty compacted in the bin and when you take the top off, the trash sort of explodes out of the bin all over the place. It's actually quite good that nobody else bothers putting out the garbage I suppose.

Anyways, it would appear that the Stay-at-homes dined high off of the hog at Wendy's and McD's. There were also 12 muffin cup wrappers in there, which is an odd selection until I realized that muffins were also MREs (Meals Ready To Eat, a military meal). I thought bananas were the only MREs that were used around here, but it appears I may have to re-adjust my outlook on food again.

The big winner in the weekend dining sweeps was obviously The Dog. She's got a huge pile of leftover wrappers and stuff stashed in the living room. Well, the dining room also for that matter. And the family room. And the hall downstairs. Regardless, she was fed and seems to have successfully weathered the five days without water. If I hadn't left the seat up in the downstairs bathroom, she may have not had any water whatsoever to drink.

I'm planning on making one of the new Hamburger Helper boxes for supper. After all of the Wendy's and McD's meals this may be considered fine dining, but you can't live forever on ground meat patties. I may exert myself and have carrots also. Dessert shouldn't be a problem because there is some jello in the fridge that I made six days ago that didn't get eaten. It's a bit a bit on the tough side, but if you use a knife and spoon, it's not all that hard to cut up into pretty manageable portions.

It's so nice being home. :)
