All....we are home from our weekend away, but alas, I don't have a story as good as Jim's. We had an AWESOME time! Who knew that drag racing could be such an adreniline rush? I did beat one of the guys in our group! We women folk will never let him live that one down! The weather could not have been better either! WOW!! We also toured the Corvette Museum, some did Diamond Caverns and some also did Members Mark Distillary. We chose not to. It was probably one of our better Get ToGethers. 94 Avalanches in attendance, prizes for everyone, and racing! Did I mention the racing?

Jeanneg-Happy B-day to Nikki. One of my best friends also shares our day. He turned 40 today so I made sure to let him know about it. I'm sure he'll return the favor next year.

Eric-Hope your trip is going good. Wish I was there diving with you guys. The weather here has been crazy this week. Last Saturday 75, Tuesday night snow and tomorrow back to 74.

Our schedule has been CRAZY and it only gets better. Starting in May I have six days in Vegas for work then three days in San Francisco on a field trip for Elyse. Home for a week then Debbie will go with me to Colorado Springs for a USA Swimming Officials Workshop at the end of the month. June starts off with a week in Virginia Beach for a work conference then two weeks in South Dakota with the Army for a field exercise.

Debbie and the girls are doing well. Kylie auditioned and secured a spot on the Reno Philharmonic Youth Chamber Orchestra playing French Horn and has decided to play Tuba in marching band next year to further diversify her musical skills. Elyse started rock climbing to add to her busy swimming schedule so I get to spend a couple hours a week at the climbing gym on the end of a belay rope for her. She plans to join a climbing competition team in September at the gym.

Just wanted to state that when I got home from work last night I was shown the garbage to prove that Jim was right. I was slightly disappointed because I did point out to the stay at homes that we had stocked up on microwavable dinners but alas none of those were used.

I joined in with Cruisetoberfest II, and this is the best group to cruise with!!! Maybe one of the original Cruisetoberfesters can give the official description, but I believe that it's because the cruises have always been in October, and we have an awesome German couple cruising with us, Eric & Anja!!! Eric is the official Cruisetoberfest list keeper, and if you send him your information (I believe that his email is on the signature of one of his posts (Viking)) he will put you on the official list.

We missed the first Cruisetoberfest but have been on Numbers 2 and 3. Great bunch of people! So much more fun when you "know" some of your fellow cruisers. If you send your info to the list keeper (Viking) he will send you a list with all the info on our group and a little blurb about how this whole crazy group got started.

Reneé, I am feeling MUCH better, thank you. But that first week after returning to work has to go down as one of the longest weeks in history.

Got excited this morning because our local grocery store is have a 10 for $10 sale but alas there's not Hamburger Helper listed in the flyer. Thankfully our cruise friends are considerate and helped us restock the pantry.

Fiona...LOVE when the store has the 10/$10 sale! I stock up when they have that!

We have a new movie theater in town. Pretty much in my backyard! I have gone to see 2 movies this month....Beauty Shop, which was really cute and today a lot like Love...it too, was really cute! I love that on Weds, Fri, and Sat they offer an early bird movie! I can see a movie and STILL be home before the boys get off the bus! Bought our tickets for Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith too! The boys are going to flip when they see those tickets! I didn't get the Midnight Movie tickets though! I KNOW I wouldn't be awake for it! I wonder if it will even sell out???

Hi guys...just thought that I would drop in and say "hi"....keeping busy at work and things seem to be getting a little better financially here...they reinstated our vacation (had suspended our bi-weekly accrual for 5 pay periods) and we actually made a small profit for the January to March quarter!! Our OB Project is finishing up after being fast tracked and we are set to open our new state of the art unit the 2nd week of May. Then my boss and I start on yet another project...adding a new deck to our garage (our parking situation is a nightmare as we are situated right in the middle of a neighborhood). Sam and Sarah are both well and studying hard in school and Sarah told him that he can't go out anywhere at night until his homework is done (and she was bummed when he told her that he doesn't get homework). Rainy dreary day here today and supposed to rain all weekend. Enjoy the Hamburger Helper Fiona!! That is one dish that I have never bought...just don't like the looks of it.

Hi Peter and Jenn.....hope all is well!! Renee....great picture of Haley...can't believe how big she got!!

I think that David who posted earlier is Marianne Zapp's son...sure looks like Heidi in the picture!!

The Germs are back
After two flights of 1:05 and 11:00 hours duration we're back in Germany - In 11 hours from 100°F to 50°F
The vacation was great!!! So great that we're considering to visitit Thailand again next year. Will upload some pics soon.
