Hey everyone! Well, I'm officially unemployed as of today. I turned in my laptop and had my exit interview this afternoon. I'm still on payroll until Jan 31st, then I get my severance. I've gotten used to the idea and I'm actually kind of liking the idea now.

We're heading to WDW tomorrow. My sister, her DH and my 3 nieces will be arriving into Orlando very soon, so we're going to meet them tomorrow. Then, we're taking the 5 girls to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday. I can't wait!

Baked TONS of cookies yesterday with my mom, and I'm so happy to be done baking. I don't know how we're going to eat this many cookies.

Safe travels for anyone going out of town for the holidays. We're staying here, but Chris's family will be coming to town for the holiday.

Well, gotta run, I hear Madison crying. (she's tired, but won't take a nap)

Take care...

Take care Amy and good luck in the job search.

They are talking about the possibility of some snow in the forecast. That stuff is for our northern branches of the dis family. Mike

SSSSSHH Mike we do not like the S Word...

Well We Are Of To Logan Airport To Retrieve Winotracy / Bill..
and Will Deliver them Safely To The Cookie Event...
On Saturday ...
Peter

Tomorrow is Cookie Night. Today much to do but I wanted to post a picture of the Walmart meet earlier this month.

Everyone have great weekend. Cookie night sounds like a load of fun. Debbie and I will have about 30 in our home for a party tomorrow night so we'll be spreading the cheer ourselves. Christmas lunch at work today and a half day off from the General. WOO HOO.

I'm in a drawing tomorrow through a local radio station to win a new Kawasaki 250 dirt bike. There's 78 of us who get a key and try to start it so my odds aren't too bad. I never win raffles at work though so my hopes aren't high. Debbie said I can keep it if I win but I can probably sell it and pay off our 06 cruise.

Everyone be safe and have a wonderful Holiday.

Van, Debbie and the Girls

No, we're just going tonight and Saturday. We only live 1.5 hrs away, so we are there quite often. I can't wait though, because it's the first time that my BIL has been to WDW with his 3 girls. Every other time that we've gone when my sister is in town from Norfolk, my BIL is out to sea with the Navy.

We're on our way out the door right now.

Have fun a good weekend everyone!
Amy

Love the picture of the mini-meet at Wally World! :earseek:

I just finished my xmas-shopping :Pinkbounc :cheer2: I was at the office at 0645am today, but as I was nearly alone in our 300+ people-office-building with no one coming by or calling everything went so smoothly that I had everything done at 1015am. So I went to our area's nicest mall and did some serious shopping pirate: When I left the mall at 1pm all parking spots were filled and it started to get hysteric in there - The early shopper avoids the storm :earboy2:
Tonight I'll do the long due update, adding okwmiester & alicat99 :jumping4: and removing our friends from Colorado :guilty: All additional requests for changes should be submitted not later than 1pm EST!!

Folks,
I just sent The List. I needed some extra-time, because today I found 'Pretty in Pink' on DVD and Anja I had to watch it immediately tonight - 1980ies at its best :cloud9:
To all the Cookie-Lovers:
Have a great night :cool1: :cheer2:
If the Dollar continues its drop next year we may join you in '05 :earboy2:

Eric -- Thanks for the list and all the hard work you are doing to keep it up. Anja must be aging very quickly since we saw you in October as the list states that she will be celebrating her 80th birthday in 2006. Maybe you are exercising a bit too much. :charac2:

I'm sure you are all enjoying Cookie Night. Wish we could be there, too.

Jean,
we will celebrate Anja's AND Eric's 80th birthday: Anja will be 37 and I will be 43 (37+43=80). pirate:
And you can never exercise too much :earboy2:

Cookie "night" was great fun. We are not allowed to disclose the secrets of this sacred event BUT we CAN discuss other aspects of it.

First, Rich and I were disappointed to find out Arlene and Andy were not going to make cookie night due to Andy feeling under the weather (Hope you're feeling better Andy!). Arlene and Andy live only about 20 minutes away from us and we seem to only meet in other states. Hopefully that will change before our cruise in 2006 and there was a general consensus last night to have a NY DIS meet sometime this Spring or Summer. We will have to work out the plans for that

Sarahsmom and group (MaryJo, Sam and Sarah) were the first ones we saw before actually arriving at Bette and Kim's house. We saw Sam when we went to park in the wrong spot and quickly circled back to park next to them. Upon arriving in the house we were priviledged to meet Gulliver - The largest dog I have ever personally met in my life! He led the way for us to arrive into the kitchen where we found Bette and Kim making final preparations for cookie night. We were warmly greeted by them and soon other guests began to arrive.

Hygeine99 (Peter and Jen), WinoTracy (Tracy and Bill), CDMickeyLover (Fiona and Jim) and someone (sorry I forgot both user name and RL name) from the Panama return cruise, all arrived along with many of Kim and Bette's friends and neighbors. They had a full house. Rich was laughing at initial introductions because people were being introduced with the user board names and it reminded him of the Identify Theft commercials.

As previously said, sacred events of Cookie Night cannot be revealed but we had a wonderful time. Rich did get a rise out of the ladies present, however, when he made a chauvinistic comment in fun a bit louder than he planned on. The women responded quickly and loudly. :confused3 I have to say, in defense of my hubby, he really is the furthest thing from a chauvenistic male. :worship:

Kim and Bette - You guys are awesome. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home and allowing us the opportunity to meet so many different people. One of the neatest things about the DIS boards and an event like this is being able to talk with so many people from so many different places. Wish we could have stayed to join the mini-DIS meet at the restaurant later and allow us more time to talk further with more people. But, as you know, we headed back to NY early and this allowed us to stop by a relative's home and join a family event Saturday night that we had completely forgotten about.

Next year, if we are invitied again, we plan to arrange our schedule differently allowing us to participate in a late night of fun!!!

Glad everyone had a great time at Cookie Night. Hopefully we'll be able to make it next year. We're expecting some snow tonight so it looks like I might be working from home tomorrow.

New computer is up and running so fast. I really love this thing. Lenny set the
other one up in the basement and loves it. He sits on the couch and surfs. Looks like I may never see him.

Glad to hear that CookieNite was a success.

I also have a new gizmo for my puter: I added a DVB-T Receiver, which I can either hook up to the desktop or my notebook. DVB-T means DigitalVideoBroadcast-Terrestrial. I can receive 24 stations in digital quality and can record them on my harddisk, cut out the commercials later and then burn it onto DVD.
