We had some good news to share that I forgot to post. Usually I keep quiet about this subject but I have to let it out.

A few of you know about Debbie's battle with brain cancer seven years ago. Ever since her treatment was finished she has had stable checkups and had been doing so well that her follow up's had extended out to a six month interval. Four weeks before the cruise she had a check up and the Radiologist was concerned about a change in her MRI. They decided to schedule her back in eight weeks so we had to go down to San Francisco for a visit last week. Results...stable, :D :D :D no change from the previous scan. The Neoro-oncologist and the Radiologist believe the area in question was just a normal change in the cavity. Since Debbie is so far out from diagnosis we are sort of in uncharted waters. She has outlived her origional prognosis by five years and a very small percentage of patients with her cancer type make it this far. It's a comfort to know she see's the best Doc's at one of the premier institutions in the country. We have been blessed.

Thanks for letting me share.

Van

I vote we get all the current and former male strippers together and have them show off thier talents. Of course we can't do this on The Magic without risk of being forced to walk the plank, but maybe the Mexican folks would put up with a demonstration of our groups talents. Maybe at Carlos and Charlies??? After a few margaritas? What do you say guys????:jester:

MUST SEND NEW FAMILY PHOTO FOR WEBSITE. Kids are much taller and I am much wider. :) Of course DH is still wearing the same suit he wore when we got married.

So glad FL was not in the spotlight this election day. Did NOT want to go through the "stupid FL voter" jokes again.

My boss "The Doc" got her first shipment of Botox today. :scared1:
Sorry, not for me. I earned my worry lines, and don't mind showing them off. :rolleyes1

Later, Avé

Laurarn - Good luck on your scrapbooking, once you start it gets very addicting (it can also get very expensive). The way I look at it though is that I am preserving wonderful memories. Looking back at our Cruise album always makes me smile and gets me even more excited for our next cruise,:Pinkbounc . Have lots of fun and don't forget to journal all of those small memories. They're the ones that you forget if they're not written down.

PADisneyfan- Did you by any chance get your free car wash at Cloister Car Wash? I'm only asking because I know they offered it here in Ephrata, and I know they have a location in York because a friend of ours helped set it up. I didn't even try to go since they were telling me of the long lines already at 9:30 a.m.

Rellingtwin- I am sure Tim could very easily be persuaded into doing Bon Jovi again. He had way too much fun last time.

Fortierv- Yeah for Debbie!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
What totally awesome news to get. I'll be sending pixie dust and prayers your way for continued great news.

Van-
That is amazing and relieving news for your wife, you and your family! Continue to "live strong!"

Congratulations Van on the great news.

Stayed up too late last night. Going to hit the sack early tonight.

Van and Debbie! Wonderful News!

I did not know anything about Debbie's cancer battle. I am so happy to hear the wonderful news about her latest scans remaining stable.

Too much to catch up with. I have to start checking up more often and posting something so you guys know who I am.

We just finished painting our den and moved our old living room furniture into it. Looks great. We were going to start on the LR next figuring we have three more weeks before new furniture arrives. Got a phone call upon returning home from work today that the new furniture is in and ready for delivery!! We are NOT ready FOR its delivery!!!

Should have seen me scrambling today emptying out and packing the china closet which will have to be moved (LR and DR join and both scheduled for painting.

Will call store tomorrow and see if delivery can be arranged for much closer to Thanksgiving time.

Thanks for the listings Eric - Great job as usual.

So glad elections are finally over. I wore Red today. Now you know who I voted for!!!

:Pinkbounc :D

P.S. to Dan - Did you get my last email?

Hi Guys, Kim here...

Van, GREAT news to hear from the Docs!!!

Papa,
I will send you a pm with the cell #, it is the same one you call me on so that has not changed.

Renee' , Love " tinkerbell" I will send the princess a package later this week

Ave, I will send you a PM later today..

It is getting pretty cold up here, tonight we have a chance of snow. I was able to buy a new snowblower on EBAY last week, so this winter we are not having the snow plow Co. do the driveway, that should save many hundreds of dollars..

Off tonight to do the shopping for everything for the holiday
"cookie Night" <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm813' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_22.gif' border=0></a>and hopefully if I have time to finally get new glasses, P.S. if Bettemom every asks to clean your glasses <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm813' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_10_12.gif' border=0></a>RUN !!! LOL LOL LOL

I have moved into the new lab and right now my office is being painted ( guess by who???) but by next week hopefully I can unpack all my boxes of junk.

Guess I have to get to work, ( painting) <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm813' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_108.gif' border=0></a>

AAAAAHHHHHHRRRR! pirate:

Talking about the new website:
I wouldn't want The List on the website for one reason: Security!!
We talked about that one before last cruise and also before COB2. There's not only nice people roaming the internet. I deliberately do not put any last names on The List, but some of our email-adresses contain that info (i.e. mine). So 'Bad People' could find The List on the website, and obtain enough info about our houses being vacated from 10/14-10/21/06 and how to find them.
Pictures, DIS-names, and first names are OK IMHO. Everything else should be restricted to mailings.

Talking about embarrassing ourselves in Mexico: Why not
Thinking about Charlie & Carlos I will always remember those people from the other ship, who came storming out of that joint after their ship had left:teeth: We didn't see that part (I think Ave' & Co did), but we saw the pilot/coast guard-boat shuttling them out to their ship which then had to wait a couple of miles offshore :boat: :rotfl:

Yes, it was Cloister Car Wash. I missed the big rush since I went right after voting, but still took me about 35 minutes to get through it. Norm tried later in the day and the line of car went around the corner and down the street. The Car Wash is only a couple of blocks from both my house and voting place so we go there alot. We always use coupons. In fact we have 2 free coupons that we got in Sept for Customer Appreication Month.

Eric--- There is talk of changing the Constitution so that Arnold can run in 2008. He is very popular in CA and was one of the stars of the Republican convention. It will be interesting to see if that all plays out. I guess that is a way to get a Kennedy and a Democratic back into the White House. Since Marie could fill that role.

Van--- Being a breast cancer survivor, I know how relieved you and your wife are with that great news. I have just finished having all my big checkups from head to toe and also got all
A ok reports.

Must get to work, my pager keeps going off.

Nancy::::MinnieMo

Van and Debbie....continued prayers and good wishes are on their way to you...what great news....you and your family must be so relieved.

Arnold for president...don't you think he needs to work on learning to pronounce California first before he tackles the other 49 states?? I do like him though. Come to think of it, George W. won and he can't even pronounce insurance and nuclear!!!

Jeanneg...found my reservation card and will pm you as soon as I get a chance. Mary Jo

Busy here because on top of all the work we have we also have an audit going on. It's going well though (I think) - only 5 files had to be pulled for her to look at. Unfortunately one was mine where I had made a mistake -- she put it down though that I had done it myself as my secretary was away. The account was filed on the wrong file number. :p

It's supposed to rain here the rest of the week and through the weekend. Yuck.

It's getting colder too. Ah well at least spring will eventually come.

Fiona

Forgot to say congrats to Van and Debbie on the great news!!

Totally understandable.

BTW -- I could make our website password-protected to restrict access.

What do you think?
