Okay - I'm a sick puppy..I actually like the smell of skunk-of course from a distance. It brings back the memory of visiting my grandparents in connecticut.

Jeanne,
congrats on getting #5000 :cheer2:
Jenn booked our tickets for the bus this morning. I'll talk to her later regarding the show.
We did the Freedom Trail today, it was very interesting. The most exciteng part was the USS Constitution and the museum dedicated to it. We did the whole trail up to Bnker Hill and then walked back all the way to Copley Square because we had to go to Hard Rock Cafe to get the Souvenir Shot Glass. My BIL (Anja's brother) collects them, but he doesn't travel very much. So we get them for him ;) Fortunately our hotel in NYC will e next door to the HRC. I started buying the Baseball Hats at the HRC due to this, but get them only when I like the design :teeth: I already got Denver, Bangkok, and now Boston. But I guess I will get NYC as well.

DVCLady,
I got your mail, will do an update soon and send you the List. I just have to work out a way to get that stuff on Pete's puter, but I guess I will simply use one of my camera's memory cards for that.

Great pictures, Mike! Isn't it fun to take the grandkids to WDW?

Funny. This made me think of my mom. Two years ago, my dh and I took our young kids to WDW abd DH hated it. :confused3

Last year, my mom took us instead with my two nephews too and loved it so much she has proclaimed it a yearly event and we are booked into the Poly for January. Thank God (again!) for Grandparents! :love2:

Peter:

The worst thing about the skunk is that you have visitors.

Every year andys friend comes from vermont to visit us for a weekend - well 2 years ago I came home from work and the house smelled like poop - I just thought andy and his friend were having strange competitions(?) and was pretty pissed but too polite to say anything with the friend there. Well just before the friend left to go home they finally said to me that the house had smelled all day long and they couldnt figure out why. I figured out that the cesspool had backed up. So the friend goes home, we take care of the cesspool and end of story. Well the next year comes and the friend is due to come back again and guess what - the cesspool backs up again. Thankfully this time it happened before he came so at least we were able to take care of it and not be embarrassed in front of the friend...Now I will hold my breath when I know hes coming to see if we have cesspool problems again...

Denise, I do remeber Boma's being VERY crowded with tables, but we must have had a pretty location as it didn't bother me to get up and down. I remember the Dinner with Shamu being worse! I am a Pooh Sized gal and they had the tables set up for stick people! It was awful. When we were at Coral Reef, our table was RIGHT at the tanks. Colton, then maybe 6?, took his place mat, and drew a shark on it. When the diver came over, Colton held up his drawing and pointed to the back of the tank! It was cute! The diver gave him a thumbs up, looked to the back and nodded. He then "asked" Colton for a bite of his dinner and Colton shook his head No! He LOVED that interaction with the diver. He was great fun!

Jennifer, Our boys stayed at the Poly Kids Club (neverland club?) while we had dinner at CG too! Matter of fact, we dropped them off, then went to MK to ride Space Mtn, EPCOT to ride Test Track and over to MGM to ride Tower and RocknRoller Coaster! Since we had to do babyswap for all the rides, he and I never got to ride together. The boys LOVED it there and ask when they can go back. Of course, we have a timeshare now, so probably never, but they are getting too big for it anyway.

Fiona and Jim, sounds like you are having a wonderful time! I hope Tammy makes a quick exit and you can enjoy the rest of your trip!

All who are heading to NYC, have a great time!

Hi Guys, Kim here..

Well I just got back to my office after seeing my Ortho Surgeon. I will be in the walking cast for 3 more weeks then I will start a course of Physical Therapy, Yippie, almost over with this garbage...

We are scheduled for tons of rain, Friday til Monday, I think Mom & I might be cleaning up the attic and getting " things" organized for cookie night.

Back to work,

Bye, Kim

To all those meeting in NYC have a wonderful time - mum and I send our love.
Wendy

Thanks, Wendy!
BTW, I just received my copy of "When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit". It looks very familiar to me, but I know I've never read it. (I was a page for the public library all through HS so maybe I ran across it there.) I can't wait to read it, but first I have to finish this month's book club selection: "The Doomsday Book" by Connie Willis. Our genre this month is science fiction......have you read it?
Good news about your upcoming cast removal, Kim!

Science fiction isn't my thing - but I have heard good things about that book.
Just booked a New Year holiday for the two of us - we are off to Ostend, Brussels and Bruge for 4 nights.
Wendy

Wendy,
I've never been to Ostend, but I love Brussels and Bruge! Make sure you buy lots of that wonderful chocolate! My favorite memory of Brussels (where they mostly speak French or Flemish) was taking a cab by myself. The driver was listening to Latin music so I asked him if he spoke Spanish. It turned out he was Italian and we spent the entire trip with him talking Italian and me speaking Spanish......and we understood each other perfectly!
I hope no one is getting the heebie-jeebies over all this terrorist hype regarding the NYC subway system. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I don't plan to avoid the subway during the next few days.

A Friend of Ours ;), Reminded us that last year at this time We were on the Magic .. with most of You People ... in Jenns Case in the Pool.. :teeth:

Peter

Wendy,
I've been to Oostende in 1980, but just switched from the train to the ferry over to Folkstone, so I guess it doesn't really count as having been there - like switching planes ;) And the only other time I've been to Belgium I also just passed it on my way to Calais to board the hovercraft to Dover in '89 - and i didn't see anything of it as it was so foggy that if I had driven a Mercedes I wouldn't have seen the star on my bonnet - or hood for our American friends :rotfl:
Have a Stella Artois while you're there. My host parents in Newquay always had the fridge stuffed with it :drinking1 It's a yummy brew!!!

Jeanne,
count on us using the subway too: We were on one of the first three planes leaving Germany for the US after 9/11. We have long since decided that changing our lifestyle would mean that they have won - NO WAY!!!

Jeanne - Have a good flight tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you and your hubby on Sunday. You have my phone #'s from the email I sent a ways back. Don't hesitate to use them.

Hello everyone! Its Jenn! Getting very excited about NY. I have the day off today to get ready. Eric and Anja are heading into Boston today. It sounds like we are going to have a super soaker of a weekend in NY, should make for some great blackmail photos! See you all tomorow!

Sorry to say we won't be coming to NYC this weekend. Hope everyone has a great time and be careful while in the city.

Nancy

Hi Nancy, Sorry we are not going to see you this weekend! I sure wish prices for rooms were cheaper!!

Jeanne - chocolate is most definetly on the list - you know me too well!
Eric, as for Stella, I love it but am known to speak my mind too much after drinking it so will probably avoid it!
That's me off school for two weeks. However I have a 4000 word essay to write on self-efficacy and research - why can't it be on planning WDW and DCL holidays?
Certainly don't let the terrorists win - we would be on the subways.
Wendy
