Fionna and Jim-- I just got an email from All Seasons travel that they were able to get cabins for the Panama canal cruise. Apparently people are beginning to cancel.

Here is their website if you are interested.

As for Rob and Amber I didn't watch that much of the Survivor episodes that they were on so don't have a feeling one way or another.

Nancy

And I Hope it is the MAY Repo that You would Be Able to Go On..

Twenty Americans are stranded in Palau, the South Pacific paradise some call the 8th natural wonder of the world, where colorful wildlife, dense jungles and an underwater world beyond belief are haunted by the wreckage and remnants of World War II. From the beginning, the game will be changed in a dramatic way: everything the Survivors have come to expect will be wiped out in the first 10 minutes. Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast all others in Palau? Get to know the new Survivors now, and don't miss a single episode of SURVIVOR: PALAU, premiering Thursday, February 17 at 8 pm ET/PT, only on CBS.

Urhhggg!!!! :confused3 :confused3

What is it with 3 yr olds? Emily has had temper-tantrum after temper-tantrum today. She's making me crazy!! The worst part is that after she's calm for a little while, she says she wants something, but she never says what. Then, she gets upset again, I guess because I'm not a mind-reader!!!

I'm going through the same thing with Haley and she's only 2! Last night Lenny had to take her out to the car while we were shopping because all of a sudden she started crying and screaming.

Amy & Renee,
my favourite quote from a Tom Clancy book (Rainbow Six): 'The first year you make them walk and talk, the next 17 yo make them sit down and shut up.' :rolleyes1

We really appreciate it, Danke schön
We won't make a decision about our fall-vacation before end of April/beginning of May. But you added a lot of weight in my favour - over Anja's preference of going to the beaches of the Mediterranean ;)

Hugs to you an Jen

Eric - I remember you saying that when you were here in St. Pete before our last cruise. And, it is so true!!!

Kim -- thanks for the picture and I think I see a bowl of mac and cheese in front of me. How is it possible that we were ordering from the children's menu so often? Something is not right somewhere, but there were nights when nothing else appealed to me. Maybe the menus need to be changed. Got your PM and PM'd you back.

Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting in so long :(
Eric, I LOVE the movie Dogma :) Chris Rock is SO funny! :rotfl2:
I started my new job this week, working for a temp. nursing outfit. I spent one day in Orthopedics, then the rest of this week in Internal Med. So far I like it a lot. Still working hard to get the house ready for sale. Our agent called this week to let us know a house on our block was put on the market, and it was sold in ONE DAY! They never even got the sign up!

Good to see you posting again Mary. Good luck on the house and hope that everyone is able to move around with the construction and all.

Mike

Wow, that's great Mary. Hopefully your house will go that fast.

Kim and tablemates - good thing we had Haley at our table so we knew about the Mac and Cheese, huh?

Mary ... Sounds like you are doing well with the new job and Good Luck with selling your house.

OK ... what's up with the macaroni and cheese? DId you order it in addition to your regular meal as a side dish? How were you able to get food from the kids's menu? I know you can get a Mickey IceCream Bar if you ask (nice).

Thanks Peter for the info about Survivor ... wonder why they have been so quiet when it's scheduled to start in the next few weeks? Hope they weren't affected by the tsunami (don't flame me if I have the wrong geographic location).

Some of us got mac and cheese as our meal because we weren't very happy with the choices on the menu. I for one got a Mickey Bar for dessert a couple nights.

The best part was when the Chef came out to ask how our meals were and Lenny said the mac and cheese is great. The look on his face was priceless. Needless to say, he left our table speechless and very quickly! :confused3

You can order from any menu anything you want. We just like Mac & Cheese. However, what Renee' did not say was the night this all happened it was the special chef or captain gala dinner menu. She is right, the chefs face was not to be believed, the man was in shock.

I am sure when they see our group for 06 they will stock up on the mac & cheese.

Bye, Kim

Very interesting ... I wonder if we could get the Mac and Cheese with some of the Chicken Fingers from Pluto's ... now that would be a nice dinner.

pirate: I'm shocked :scared1: You nutritional barbarians :rotfl2: Those chefs are cooking their butts off and you order mac & cheese :earseek: If that chef were French, he would have fetched his largest knife and killed you.
Although mac & cheese is on of my favourites (And you can't get decent mac & cheese over here :guilty: ) I would never dare to order it during dinner on the ship - But perhaps I'll try it next year, just to see the waiter's jaw drop :rotfl:

Over here it has been snowing continuously the whole evening, we already got an inch or two, which will make for some fun in tomorrow's rush hour. The temps are between -10 and -5°C/14-23°F, which will make the snow stay.

It's unbelievable but we won't be able to shop in Anja's hometown on Saturday  : There will be a march of a couple of hundreds Neo-Nazis downtown, and thousands of protestors trying to hinder them. Unfortunately those Nazi-jerks were granted the right to march, because our Supreme Court ruled that it still falls under freedom of speech. The police expect some rioting, so we'll probably do our shopping in Hamburg. Fortunately our Chancellor started an initiative to ban them and perhaps the next time our Supreme Court will rule differently - hopefully.
