We are still here -- a little cold but surviving.

Jim and I were just laughing the other night about the chef's face with Lenny complimented him on the Mac & Cheese. That was one of the funniest moments on the cruise. :rotfl:

Actually Cathy we were so bad that our server actually gave some of us two menus -- the adult menu and the children's menu.

Another funny moment was everyone trying Lenny's dessert on the last night -- that was truly awful!!

Leaving Sunday for Florida so warm up down there ok?

Fiona

Hey Fiona -

The weather here in central FL is getting nicer. Today it was in the lower 70s and in the 50s at night. I think that it's supposed to be in the mid 70s most of the weekend. I don't think it's supposed to be cooler until lat next week.

That's great news Amy because when we woke up this morning it was -9F here and it's supposed to be even colder tomorrow morning. It's sunny though so it looks nice but just a touch too cool for me.

Fiona, FL is warming up nicely. Hope you have a great trip.

Never tried the mac and cheese, may have to change that next cruise.

Going to see Jerry Sienfeld tonight! Show starts at 7p so we are meeting some friends for dinner at 5:30, then on to the show! :teeth:

Later.

Actually, I think I got mac and cheese and chicken fingers one night. The chicken fingers were good, but I didn't like the chicken noodle soup from the kid's menu -- too much stuff in it which surprised me since it is supposed to be for kids. Had Mickey bars with sprinkles for dessert several times. Sorry, Eric!

Folks,
it looks like Jenn & Pete managed to lure the Germs back to the US: We are seriously considering to spent the first two weeks of October in Boston. We won't be booking before May/June, but the probability is very high that we will do it.
So what about a Cruisetoberfest-meet in October ?

Very interesting ... I wonder if we could get the Mac and Cheese with some of the Chicken Fingers from Pluto's ... now that would be a nice dinner.

Yep you can, did that also... Chix fingers are pretty good. They will also send fries with them.

Bye, Kim

Sounds great Eric, we were thinking about a wdw trip with the granddaughter in October so when you firm up your plans let us know. A mini meet would help hold us over until our cruise.

Okay, so that's Boston in October and DC in June? Is that right? I'll have to see what we could come to! The kids are in school then, so it is hard to get away. We would love to meet some of you before we cruise though!

Ave...How was Sienfeld? He is coming to Charleston, WV in March. Would love to see him too!

Hi guys, Kim here... Here is a little Friday morning pick-me up!

The 7 dwarfs go to the Vatican, and because they are THE dwarfs, they are ushered in to see the Pope. Dopey leads the pack. “Son” says the Pope, “what can I do for you?”
Dopey replies “excuse me your Excellency, but are there any dwarf nuns in Rome?”
The Pope wrinkles his brow at the odd question, thinks a moment and answers “No Dopey, there are no dwarf nuns in Rome.” In the background, a few of the dwarfs start giggling. Dopey turns around and gives them a glare, silencing them.
Dopey turn back, “ Your Worship, are there any dwarf nuns in all of Europe?” The Pope, puzzled now, thinks again for a moment and then answers, “No Dopey, there are no dwarf nuns in Europe.”
This time all the other dwarfs burst into laughter. Once again, Dopey turns around and silences them with an angry glare.
Dopey turns back to the Pope and says, “ Mr. Pope, are there ANY dwarf nuns anywhere in the world.” “ I am sorry my son, there are no dwarf nuns anywhere in the world.”
The other Dwarfs collapse into a heap, rolling and laughing, pounding the floor, tears rolling down their cheeks as they begin chanting,
“ Dopey screwed a penguin !…Dopey screwed a penguin! ”

:rotfl2: I like that one. Funny coincidence: The same joke was sent to me this week - In German!!
It's a small, small world :cool1:

:badpc: Last night my DVD-drive started making noise like it was Diesel-driven :confused3 My PC crashed quite often in the last weeks, especially when I used the drive. So I went to a Saturn Hansa (Comparable to your Best Buy) during my lunchbreak and bought a new one. I decided to replace it with a DVD-writer - Why pay €30-40 for a DVD-drive, when you can get a 16x-write with DoubleLayer-capability for €80 :teeth: So now my puter is equipped with a 8x external DVD-writer, a 16x internal DVD-writer, and a 24x internal CD-writer.
I just burned my first DVD with the new one and it need only 7 minutes for it - That's a big improvement over my old one which needs about 15-18 minutes. And with 16x blank DVDs I should be able to cut down that time even further.
Additionally I peeled a handful of dust from the CPU's cooling fan, which may also have been a reason for the crashes - Overheating!!

Mike,
we won't go to WDW in October. We're going to explore Boston and New England. This is a long-hatched dream of mine: Going to New England during Indian Summer. Anja and I want to see as much of the 'real' America as possible, we'll be going to the 'artificial' America again next year before the cruise ;)
And I guess living with American friends in a residential area will give us a better insight of America and the Americans than the hotels/motels we usually stay in. We're really looking forward to it

Very cute joke, Kim......and they censor me for typing b-o-o-b-i-e!

OK, Mary, go sell your house in one day and then rub it in! Seriously, I hope it does go quickly....wouldn't wish what i'm going through on anyone.

Good news: I won't be having surgery....at least not right now. The damage wasn't all that large and I've actually started to heal already. The bad news is that I have arthritis and will probably be needing surgery somewhere down the line just due to degeneration. So right now I just have cut back on some of my workouts and take that OTC drug with the long funny "g"-name. Maybe my luck is starting to change.

Congrats on your mending knee, Jeanne. An a little consolation: It's better to have some arthitis due to wear and tear than an insufficient cardiovascular system. Joints can easier be repaired than your heart and lungs!!

We'll be flying to Hamburg tomorrow and then spend the weekend in Kiel celebrating Granny's 95th BD. As my in-laws still live in medieval times we will be incommunicado. Everybody have a great weekend

I love that banana guy

Jeanne, Great news about your knee. You want to stay away from the surgeons for as long as you can. :teeth:
Michele, Sienfeld was great. Thanks for asking. If you get the chance to see him go for it. The show was about 90 min. long, and VERY funny. He had a "warm-up" act comiedien. Also very funny.
We will not be able to make the Oct. meet, but looking forward to seeing any and all Disers who want to brave DC in June. Hoping someone who is more familiar with the area will come up with an idea for a place for the meet.
Working on our taxes today. :teacher: Looking pretty good right now, but still waiting for some statements before I can file.
Taking the kids to the Mardi Gras parade tomorrow. Gotta get those beads. I like the banana guy too!
