Here's some interesting info about a new dresscode at Palo's:

Dining -- Gentlemen are now only required to wear a dress shirt
when dining at Palo. (A jacket or tie is still suggested, but
not required.) Men wearing T-shirts, golf shirts, etc., will not
be allowed in the restaurant. The Champagne Brunch and High Tea,
both offered in the same location, will remain "resort casual."

Peter - Sorry you have to work on Thanksgiving. I do too.
Of course for our Thanksgiving we were on the cruise so I guess it wasn't too bad.

Hope all my American friends have a great Thanksgiving. Please feel free to eat turkey for me! If you could ship the smell of cooking turkey that would be even better!

It's raining here today that is supposed to turn into snow overnight. Not looking forward to that but so far our fall hasn't been too bad.

Read the new rules about Palo but haven't told Jim that he doesn't have to wear a tie there yet.

I treated myself today with a brandnew computer: I bought a Sony Vaio Widescreen Notebook with a Doublelayer-DVD-Burner.
We signed a contract with a new telephone & internet provider two weeks ago, which will become active in three weeks. For signing up with that company we received everything necessary to set up a wireless network at home virtually free. So I thought a notebook would be a great idea: Now I can surf the Web everywhere in our house and use the 'old' PC mainly for 'lowly chores'
And we'll be able to use the notebook while enroute at nearly every Starbucks or airport.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. For those traveling over the holiday, have a safe trip.

Both sons will be home for Thanksgiving dinner. Since DS#1 is a vegeterian, no turkey for him so have to make him crab cakes.

Off Thanksgiving, but will be working on Friday.


I don't see what the big difference between a dress shirt with no tie and a golf shirt is for Palo? Since we haven't gone there for dinner for a couple of years, it really doesn't affect us. Now to see if DCL really enforces the dress code.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We're having dinner here at our house, but it's only a few of us. My sister and her family were supposed to come down from Virginia, but my BIL couldn't get his leave approved from the Navy. I'm sad about that, but they'll be here the week before Christmas.
