Jill and Tim, Sorry to hear that you will not be coming with us. We were looking forward to doing an Eagle Ray Dive with you. :( But I have to agree, spending this kind of money, you really should be doing exactly what You want to do.

Got home early today so I'm going to start on my Christmas cards! Never did get them out last year. Also found and bought for DS a Sony Play Station 2 with 8 games on e-Bay for $150.00. DD informed me that this is a good deal.

Got my invitation to the Christmas dinner for job #2. As rumored, it is on a Friday night, cash bar, one adult guest is invited. BUT.....
they are charging $5.00 per person. Think I'll skip it.;)

Rosemary, Glad you got your new furniture. Bet it looks great.

Bye for now,
Avé:wave2:

Ok, so it wasn't just me. I'm finally able to see some of these posts. I thought something was wrong with my computer that I wasn't able to see all the new posts. I kept getting emails that there were new entries, but I couldn't see anything.

Hey, you guys.....

Tim and I have decided to reschedule our 2006 cruise to the November 18 sailing (still 2 stops at CC, but Grand Caymen will be a port instead of Costa Maya.)

Our only apprehension with booking the October cruise was our stop at Costa Maya. It was by far our least favorite port and I wasn't all that thrilled with doing the same itinerary as our hurricane cruise (minus the CC stops!) But cruising with all of you guys won me over! But after talking with Tim about this, we decided we ought to make sure we are fully happy with where we are going....also the Thanksgiving cruise is very appealing (especially the thought of not having deal with the family dramas that pop up with this holiday for some reason!)

So for a mere $1300:rolleyes: more, we are sailing on with an unknown group of Dis'ers.....which will be my biggest disappointment of all!!!! Unless anyone wants to begin a "Thanksgivingfest"....um, yeah, not the same as Cruisetoberfest, huh:(

So Eric, you may officially remove us from "The List" ....if you need an official email, I can do that ;)

Jill & Tim,
I consider this a desertion:jester: You know what happens when Cruisetoberfesters cruise without the Germs: Ask the CruisEars people, who were chase across the Caribbean by a hurricane :teeth:
But perhaps we'll meet in Colorado some time. I'm still hoping that my company sends me over again.

Ave,
I organized my department's xmas party. Usually everybody has to pay for his/her food & drinks, but this year I convinced our manager to pay for the food :teeth: My department just won its ISO-certification and I was audited. In the final summary the auditors not only said that they couldn't find any flaw in my partner's and my processes, but especially mentioned him & me for outstanding service. So when my manager asked us if he could give a us a reward for it, we asked him to take over the bill for the party. It will be a nice surprise for our coworkers, who think they'll have to pay for themselves::yes::

And on Wednesday we got the invitation for our company's official xmas party. This spring we had a special training about our company's future goals. During those training sessions many employees asked for information about our products. So on December 16th my company will set up all our displays usually shown on fairs and exhibitions in a large concert hall, and will do a consumer's show just for us - Followed by an evening with an open bar and a sumptuous buffet:drinking1 :cool1: Even our COO will come over from Denver, so we'll surely have a blast. BTW, our COO also is a DCL-veteran, he's got a couple of cruises under his belt, perhaps I can make him join us ;)

Speaking of Christmas parties. Have one on the 3rd which is one of my client's. It should be ok. Then our company one which is dinner and then mini-golf. Didn't vote for the mini-golf which is only slightly better than real golf.

So glad that it's Friday!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sorry you aren't going to be cruising with us Jill & Tim but you do have to be happy with the ports.

Fiona

Ok, I just had to get my 1500th post on this thread. It wouldn't be the same if I didn't.:teeth: I just hope it shows up!

Jill and Tim, sorry that you will not be with us.

I Wonder Who Bill And Tracy will have for a neighbor NOW....

Peter

You see, that was really why we switched....I was desperate to get one of those stinkin' cat 6's!! Needless to say, my plan was foiled.....all of those rooms were snatched up on the 11/18, too! It was funny because I had to explain to my TA at AAA why I wanted to see if the next stateroom over was open, and she was so suprised that they had all been booked! I have been educating her on DCL from all the goods I get from here! So we will still have 6632 on the 11/18....so Tracy, make sure whoever is in there treats it good....no craziness and such!

I was happy that we were able to keep our on board booking credit and discount, plus the $150 AAA discount, too.

Good question! Maybe we won't know our neighbor like before  Jill, sorry you and Tim won't be going. You lead us to a great excursion on Antigua.

I have been having problems here too. Yesterday and today I got no e-mails of new posts (but too busy to actually check) so I checked and found two pages of posts. Same with PC cruise thread.

I was counting down yesterday too. Today it's 27 days until we see Peter and Jenn and 28 days to Cookie Night!! Can't wait, wish it were today!

Jill and Tim - We understand why you're switching and hope you have a great cruise still, but I had to break the news to Chris that the diving group was getting smaller! He has all our paperwork ready and is reading up for what he says is summer diving lessons! He wants to do that Epcot dive you guys did when we go to WDW in Sept. Was it worth the money?

We have a three day break, but it will be busy. My FIL is getting married today and I have to drive us up there. Should be fun, I hope! Then it's back home to try and train our "ZOO" not to sleep on our new sofa and love seat we just had delivered. I can feel the grey hairs all ready! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Only 7 more days til we put up the Christmas lights!!!

Although our diving group lost Jill & Tim :( we will also have some new divers with us: George (RellingTwin's DH) is going to get certified and the two other Germs are thinking about getting their PADI OWD next year in Florida. We're trying to set them up with our dive instructor in Crystal River.

It's pricey, but it is fun! Tim loved it, I really liked it...my only complaint is the size of the area. It is 6 million gallons, but you really feel like you are just going in circles after a while. But you see EVERYTHING constantly. The rays swim right up to you and at the last minute they glide up over your head, the sharks (although small) are just amazing to see up close. The strength of their bodies just gliding through is amazing to see close. The fish don't dart away from you....they just hang out! The coolest thing I think was interacting with the guests. Kids LOVED the divers paying attention the them. I kept going up to this little girl who was around 3 or 4 and she was so excited and laughing. Then we swam past the Coral Reef and said "hi" to a newlywed couple. Even Tim, "Mr. everyone thinks I am antisocial because I don't talk to anyone;)" had a blast interacting with the guests. It was fun. It was a great first dive experience for us....so yes, in a long nutshell, it is worth it.....plus the money goes to the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund.

So when are you guys going in Sept? We are going to try to get 3 or so days in either before or after our 4 night cruise on 9/25.

We'll still dive with Eagle Ray in Cozumel.....so don't you all wear them out!!! :hyper:

Jill,
how much was the dive a EPCOT?

Eric,

It is $140 per person for approx 40 mins (one tank) in the water, plus a T shirt and certificate. Park admission is not required, and you get to go into Epcot after for free. It was nice because we were able to save some $$ on Park Hoppers....we hit DD for the day and we were able to grab dinner at Rose and Crown in England and watch IllumiNations after the dive with out using a day on our park hoppers.

Here is a link to some reviews I checked out before we booked....
