I’m sure this has been discussed but I couldn’t find anything on a search. Sorry if this is a repeat or this may be helpful to consolidate details.
What exclusive events, items, or experiences should we expect specifically for, and only on October 1st for Magic Kingdom’s 50th?
For example, I was on site when Galaxy’s Edge opened. There were some “Day 1” photo ops, I think the park map/brochure was limited edition, and I recall exclusive merchandise.
With the castle decorated and general 50th merchandise in stores already (and for the next 18-months), I’d like to catch as many ‘October 1st Only’ items as possible.
From previous anniversaries, will there be speeches, ceremonies, merchandise, entertainment, etc…?

I have an 11:45 lunch and ordering mobile order dinner early in the day.I booked lunch at Crystal Palace for October 1st weeks ago. I hoped character dining would be back and planned to cancel if that was not the case.
...but now I am afraid to cancel because I may not be able to eat anywhere if I don't have a reservation. LOL.
Watching the Dis Unplugged, Kevin Klose keeps saying you need to book your quick service lunch at by 9am or you don't eat.
Is mobile order that bad? How are others planning to eat on October 1st?

There are only so many slots for ordering in each order window, if they all fill up at say 1-1:15 you need to pick the next slot. The theory is if all the slots fill up early you won’t get food.I’m sorry. I’ve heard Kevin mention the ordering thing and had no idea what he was talking about. Any time we’ve used mobile ordering, we placed our order and picked it up 10-15 minutes later, including earlier this month. Why would you need to order hours in advance? And if you do that, don’t you still have to hit “I’m here” before they actually make your food?
I suppose we can order early if there’s some advantage to that. Please tell me why that would matter.
