Eric the price of gas in this area is finally over the $2 a gallon for 87 octane. If DCL has to divert to key west on our cruise most of us have experience with the scavenger hunt. Remember Eric , brain wins over brawn:teeth:

Have to go fix some home made spaghetti sauce and garlic breadpirate: Mike

Jeff, Gaby, Anja & I were the true winners as we were the best team walking :teeth: There were only lazybones ahead of us pirate: :jester:

87 Octane  Over here you don't get anything under 91, the most cars -llike ours- burn 95, and high-powered cars like the M-BMWs feed on 98/100. The prices range from about €1,15 to 1.30 now :(  That's per litre, of course.

Well , we are going to New York, to See a Show any guesses?

Disneys Beauty and The Beast on broadway...

Had last couple of days off and started looking around for thing to do for the long weekend ... So I said we have always wanted to do New York After all it is the Home of Arlo and That other guy Andy.... and I logged on to ticket Master and checked out the show schedules and there it was right in front of me 2 front row tickets for Sunday afternoon with out delay I purchasd them , as it is not every day u get Front row tickets to pop up on the screen.... so then I hoped over to Price line after checking out the price of hotel rooms in Ny. and said lets give this a shot
and the bid of $100.00 for a 4 star hotel in the theatre Distict was excepted. for Sunday night Much to my surprise...

So we now stay at the Tower Hilton Walking distance to the show so it says and after checking it out on the Map I think we will be ok... there is a Bus that leaves Boston Every hour on tthe hour the price is $10.00 per person and it takes 4 1/2 hours to get there ..... not sure I would like a bus ride for that long of time and since we had to shorten this long weekend up Because
we would have left Saturday morning but NEPHEW Birthday / High School graduation Party has been scheduled for tonight at 6 pm , so I called him and asked him and he said he would like for me to be there.... lol So Sunday morning at 8:30 we now fly out to Ny.

the flight is 1 hr 10 minutes

Will give us time to do some stuff and then go to the show have Dinner , get up the next morning do some stuff and get back on the plane at 2 pm and be home by 3 .... as it suppose to rain on Monday did not want to make the fligh to late in the Day...

Another scheduled event was the cook out at Kim and Bettes house .... was for sunday ... But being afraid Kim would Put us to Work on the siding We told her of our new plans and they are ok with that.... lol.... This is going to be Great ....

Hey Eric, you guys weren't the only ones walking in Key West. Jim and I walked and fought quite well! :p It appears that each of us have different sets of directions!

Have fun in New York Peter and Jen!

:sunny: here but not all that warm so far. The house was 61F when we woke up this morning. Ceramic tile at that temperature is quite cool on bare feet.

Off to another Jays game this afternoon -- they've won the last 4!!

Mike -- last weekend I made spaghetti sauce and froze it. We'll have to compare recipes.

Take care everyone.

Fiona

Eric and Anja have a safe and happy holiday on your trip to the baltic coast I believe. Regular unleaded is 87 octane the midrange is 89 and the premium is 91-93 octane.

I wish that DCL would put data ports in the rooms so that if you wanted to bring your lap top youecould do it from your room. I will pm you my recipe Fiona. Mike

:bored:

I'm making my sauce this afternoon for the freezer..so we can all exchange recipes..: :hyper:

You all should be glad this week-end did not work out...It is COLD:mad:

Fourth of July week-end is really shaping up...Anyone else want to head to NH then ??:teeth:

I know, Fiona ::yes:: We were the tough ones, the cool walkers :earboy2:

Jays? Is that baseball?
Our soccer team lost big time last weekend, and had to leave the Premier League for at least a year :( But our Ladies' team is going to be German Champion again. And this weekend our Basketball team -The Frankfurt Skyliners- is in the final play-offs.

Mike,
you won't believe me, but I'm quite satisfied with not having to see a computer for four weeks - Although, if the Dollar stays that low until September I may buy a laptop in the States ;)

Folks,
I found a new way to obtain pictures of you for our web-site. I already found Mary's and Ave's on the web. How? Check this out:

Check your drivers license...
Now you can see anyone's Driver's License on the Internet, including your own! I just searched for mineand there it was...picture and all! Thanks Homeland Security! Go to the website and check it out.
It's unbelievable!!! Just enter your name, City and state to see if yours is on file. After your license comes on the screen, click the box marked "Please Remove".
This will remove it from public viewing, but not from law enforcement.

Too funny! I was thinking, "oh great, one more thing to get unlisted!" We have everything unlisted....I don't need inmates visiting me at home! I'll have to send this one around the jail....get some of my co-workers momentarily freaking out!!!:hyper:

Viking: You rock. That was just toooo funny. Will have to circulate that one around the law firm. Only thing funnier than the site, will be watching all those attorneys freak out!!!!

Very Good Eric!

Peter and Jen, Have a great time in the Big Apple!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!\

Eric -- Very funny! I couldn't believe that they would have all those driver's license picure on a website, but I fell for it. Speaking of pictures, is there any point in sending a picture of Sam and I now? After I finally got your address, I got really busy and never got around to sending it.

The Jays won again -- that's 5 in a row. (Eric, the Blue Jays are indeed baseball -- world champs in 1992 and 1993!!!)

It was sunny here today but with a breeze not really all that hot. The Skydome was open though (it has a retractable roof which is really quite neat to see in the process of opening and closing). It was warm in the sunshine but was quite cool when the shadows appeared.

The Jays play Texas again tomorrow so we are hoping for a sweep. (again since we've already swept Anaheim this week!).

Yeah for the spaghetti sauce (one of the few things I make from scratch -- and to be honest one of the few things I cook since Jim does most of the cooking).

Hi Everyone--- We are back from our 2 week vacation. Our family cruise on the Navigator of the Sea was wonderful. We had connecting promenade staterooms so Norm and I and then our 2 sons could each have our own space. The Promendade staterooms are unique to the Voyager class ships as you have an internior room with a window that looks out on the Promendade deck. You have a window to watch everyone shopping and we could watch the parades and other events from our room. They had really great shops on this ship and I spend much more money then I normally do on a cruise. Norm and I enjoy the Magic and Wonder, but we both fell in love with this ship. Even though it was full ship with 3500 people you never felt crowded. This ship is so big we felt we were more in a hotel than a cruise ship. We never made it up to the top deck that had the rock climbing, mini golf and in line skating area. The adult pool area was huge and had plenty of chairs. Plus there gym was big had all the latest equipment and you never had to wait for any equipment even on sea days. Norm and I went up everyday to work off all those exra calories. My young adult sons enjoyed this cruise more than anyother cruise they have taken. We talked to people who had children in the kids clubs and everyone said that their kids had a great time. The entire back area on one of the decks ( I think Deck 12) is just for kids. It has all sort of outside activites set up for the kids that they can use at any time. Mariner of the Sea and Navigator of the Sea are sister ships and both laid out the same with changes that were made from the Voyager, Adventure and Explorer of the Sea. This class of ship for Royal Caribbean is very popular, but still is cheaper than the Disney cruise. Though I use my DVC points for my Magic cruises. Had I know we were going to enjoy the Navigator this much, I would have booked back to back for Norm and I and not gone up to WDW for the 2nd week.

Ave-- Sorry we missed you at WDW. We didn't get to WDW until after 4pm and then had to do laundry. The only down thing on the Navigator is no public washers. We did catch Paul Revere on Sunday and then went back to see 2 shows on Tuesday. He was terrific and each show was a little different. We saw Arlo Guntherie on Wed and his was not as good of a show.

We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. This is our favorite resort other than Old Key West (our DVC home). Parks were busy on the weekend, but much more managable after Monday. I just love the flower displays at Epcot. The Flower and Garden show is one of my favorite things at Disney.

Eric--- Enjoyed the website. I really thought it was for real until I went into it.

Today is DS#2 birthday so we took him out for dinner tonight. I no longer have teenagers. He turned 20 today.

Well, off to bed for me

Nancy

Sure, go ahead and send it. But it won't be on-line before June 14 as we will be leaving for another short vacation next Friday until June 13. I'll scan it at the office then and upload it.

Fiona -- A couple of other things we have in common (besides the unused pools) -- Sam also does most of the cooking in our house. He actually likes to cook! He is also the spaghetti sauce maker because of his Italian heritage. And, it appears that we are both baseball fans. Coming from Chicago, we are loyal Cub fans even tho they never seem to do very well (with the exception of last year when they made it to the playoffs for the first time in many years). In spite of their poor record, Wrigley Field practically always has a full house so I guess there are many loyal fans hoping for an end to the billy goat curse.

Nancy, Glad you had a great cruise. I have been thinking about taking the family on one the Voyager class ships at some point. I know you did not climb the Rock Wall, but do you happen to know what the age restriction is on it? My DS wants to climb it Bad!

Eric, diver's licence thing too cute!LOL!

Drivers license was too cool. Haven't tried the voyager class yet. May have to check into a cruise on one.

DCL still has not made a decision on a 3rd ship yet I think. All of their ships will fit through the panama canal so that is why they are not larger in the beam. Mike
