The T-shirt idea is a good one. I have to think about it for a bit, as it would be about 2X the cost. $60. vs 30.

Peter and Jen, glad you had fun in NY!I tried to get tickets for Loin King when I was there last year, but it is sold out weeks (months?) in advance.
I just noticed, Eric's countdown clock is almost at 100 days!!!

T-Shirts: No need to hurry.
Loin King  Sounds like an X-rated show :jester:
Countdown: I didn't realize that  Oh, my gosh, we're nearly in the two-digit range :Pinkbounc :bounce: Good, that we already started purchasing gifts for our American & Canadian friends ::yes:: We don't want to get into a hurry and have to do last-minute shopping. The danger is too great that we won't be able to get certain things or worse: Forget something :scared1:

Just checking in between lighting bolts ... Geez, it's almost time to build an ArK!

Not sure if anyone had ever heard of a "Healing Field" But they had one set up about a hour from our house and we went to it this Sunday. They are usually only set up for about 2 weeks and aren't permanent. There were basically three sections to this one.
One section was American flags with each red stripe containg the names of all the fire, emergency, rescue and police that died during 911 in the World Trade. Another section had American flags with both the red and white stripes containing the names of all the victims of 9ll - at the Pentagon, in the airplanes and the World Trade. The third section was American and Coilition (sp) flags with yellow bows on them that each one had the name of a person killed in mission Iraqi Freedom (sp). That section grew every day unfortunately. It was such a sight .. so thought provoking. I heard that it was one of only 10 done in the USA. I suggest that if it comes near you ... go, look, reflect and just think of what your peacefull life means to you. Afterwards they take down all the flags and they are sold with the proceeds going to the service groups in our area. Needless to say I just had to have a "Hero Flag" of all the Fire, Rescue & Police ... it will fly on special holidays in their honor and remembrance. ( OK --- I'm off my soapbox now! )

OK, OK ... I promise to work on the logo. Just where does the time go.

AshLee said "Woof" to all who asked about her....she's feeling better, not too crazy about the strict diet and special food her
petiatrician has her on but Oh Well.

Well another lighting strike realllllllllllllllllllllllll close ... See ya!

The Healing Field sounds really interesting.

Was watching 60 minutes on Sunday night and they showed pictures of all the US servicemen/women killed in Iraq. It was really moving and unfortunately it took them about 8 minutes -- it could have even been longer to show them all.

Not raining here (yet) although we are supposed to get thunderstorms at some point this afternoon.

Got our MNSSHP tickets yesterday in the mail!!

Pretty soon all of us will be down to double digits even though Eric gets there first!

Back to work.

T-Shirts.....Last year we bought our shirts from a Hanes website. I will check to see if I still have it. The shirts were good quality, and we are still wearing them. And they were shipped to us very quickly. The ones with the Mickey Logo held up very well. But the logo on the Pinky shirts fadded very quickly. I used 2 different kinds of tranfer paper, which may explain it. I will look for the Hanes website and post it if anyone is interested.
Later,
Avé

OK here's the website for Hanes. They even have transfer paper for sale. Since we have 4 shirts to buy, I'm leaning toward this kind of deal. Even figuring in the cost of shipping, the tranfer paper, and ink, it's still a better deal then most. www.hanes2u.com.

Our t-shirts worked out quite well last year although we did test runs on regular paper before we put the logo onto the transfer paper. We got our t-shirts at Michaels. I looked at the hanes site and liked the t-shirts but unfortunately the shipping to Canada was way too much.

It rained again last night and is supposed to rain again tonight. The weekend is supposed to be nice though. Can't wait.

Back to work. Really busy this week. Unfortunately no overtime pay for me though.

Peter and Jen...IF you are REALLY nice to me I just might do them again for you:teeth:

Just got home from work and our AC unit has quit! We just installed a brand new unit 2 years ago, so I dug out the paperwork and we have a 10 year warranty (thank goodness) BUT we can't get the new compresser until tomorrow, so it looks like it's going to be a LONG...HOT.....Night!:( :(

Looks like we are going out to dinner since I am NOT going to stand over a hot stove/oven in a house that it 90º!

90 degrees !!!! We would die up here, for the last week + it has been in the 30-40 at night and around 50-65 during the day and of course constant rain..... Monday night we had a frost, boy did that surprise everyone who had started their gardens...

Bye, Kim

 I just realizeed I have to do my own iron-on transfers. It is my once a year check up for my iron. :jester:

Is anyone doing the magnetic door signs?
I've been playing around but haven't come up with anything I like. Maybe the logo would look good.

Hi Folks,
for those of you, who want to keep an I on the weather in the Caribbean: HURRICANE WATCH
You may also subscribe to their newsletter to get updates on the current situation. But one warning: When a full-fledged hurricane is under way your mailbox will receive lots of traffic as they're issuing hourly -or even more frequent!!- updates then.
And don't forget to unsubscribe before you leave for the cruise!!!

We will leave tomorrow for the Baltic Sea for a short vacation and will be back on 06/13. Should new cruisers want to join our gang, please inform them about my absence. I will do an update ASAP after our return - if necessary. I'll check the Boards again tonight (Afternoon, your time).

Have a great time Eric and Anja. Hope the weather is wonderful.

I hear you Kim about the weather -- can you imagine 90 and having to have the air conditioner on??? Chris was away last weekend and he said that there was frost on the ground when he woke up.

Unfortunately I have to test the iron this morning on his suit pants as it's the prom tonight! At least I won't have to struggle to get him up tomorrow for school since he won't be going. Do not understand having the prom on a Thursday night (ours was Friday) but he says it's because they figure they won't drink on a Thursday night!

Must go and iron and then get him up.

Take care everyone.
