tickets arent encoded with the biometric scan data until the first use at a park after Jan 05. So tickets from prior to jan 05 and not used since jan 05 , while it says on them aren't transferrable arent encoded in anyway (other than name and signature which generally aren't checked) until the first time they are used after Jan 05. Tickets are not coded at purchase but when they are first used. SO it doesnt matter who purchasses them but who first uses them. AND all tickets are finger scanned on entrance..it can slow entrance down but it isnt terrible when thinks go smooth it isnt much slower than used to be..you stick in your card stick in your fingers and walk through....it often took a few tries though cause even being the same person you still have to put your fingers in just right for it to look the same. Children are not scanned but there have been differing reports of at what age they start scanning. my 4 and 6 werent most say the children werent but some say even their quite young child was scanned. my 6 year old kept sticking her fingers in and the cm's never said anything just that it wasnt necessary.
Ther person who got in using the sisters pass - I believe someone commented at some point but not sure if it is true or what that tickets bought at the same time or used for the first time together or something were somehow linked. Meaning that it often happens that a group travelling together gets the cards mixed up so any of the tickets will work for any of them. I'm not sure of any specifics about this but suspect it may have to do with why you got in.
