I was wondering about this, too. Do we want to organize a dis meet? I think it would be fun.

A meet would also be good in case anyone upgrades at port (if available) and their room number changes. On our one cruise they did a meet before muster drill and just asked everyone to say hi, name, if doing FE and if so, verify room hasn't changed. If did change, then everyone could update their list for delivery. Someone was extremely organized and even brought printouts of room list for FE for everyone in case forgot at home lol :-)

I was thinking the first sea day might be better! My last cruise, we met up in a specific location for the sailaway party, but, uh, it was LOUD. Not the most useful chance to meet up with people.

Not that we were any sort of a cohesive group, anyway, but that sure ruined any sort of chance!

Not that I'm doing FE, but I booked us a GTY room. Now I'm *dying* to know what our stateroom number is. It really doesn't matter; I'm not hung up on where we are (thus, booking a GTY) (Also, is anyone else amused by the people who go with GTY, effectively a crapshoot, and then get pissed at their assignments? If it matters, don't do it!), but I just want to know. It's like the missing piece in my plans! ;)

Works for me. Honestly, whatever works for everyone else pretty much works for me lol :-)

I am pretty open, too. I will admit that I missed the meet on our first cruise because we got all caught up in exploring the ship (and not watching the clock) on the day we boarded the ship. I never even thought about doing it on a sea day, but that seems like a neat idea. We just need to try to make sure we don't schedule it during a really popular activity. Has anyone seen the navigators for the first Easterns with San Juan? :confused3

ETA: I just realized the first cruise to San Juan is this week. I suppose I should allow them to make it home to get the navigators. :lmao:

Royal Caribbean's Meet & Mingles are always the first sea day in the Viking Crown Lounge... so I'm certainly not claiming to be brilliant to have thought of the sea day. But our cruise starts with two, so meeting on the first might be a good idea! That way, we'll have faces with names... and then maybe families to spend time with on the next sea day and the days after that!

And, yes, let's wait for them to get home! :rotfl2: Sounds like they got a great fanfare arrival! I admit, it's part of why we booked this cruise... San Juan is definitely more to our interests than St. Martin!

Can concierge rooms participate in FE? If so, I'd love to participate!

Yes you can participate in FE Group. If you would like your name added to the FE list just send me a PM with you room number, names, ages, gender and Favorite charactor and I will be happy to include you and your family.:wave2:

I have a FE Group meeting planed but I thought it may be a little to early to put out time and place for the meeting. I was going to wait till it got a little closer to the cruise so that everyone that sign up for FE would maybe see the post and not miss the meeting.

Hey all -

Newbie questions here - so, we are supposed to book our excursions & adult dining after midnight on November 12th - and this is going to sound silly, but does that mean Sunday night (when the 11th turns into the 12th) or the next night? I assumed the first, but since I'm making/asking DH to stay up (I can't do it) to book things at midnight, I felt it would be best to be sure! :thumbsup2

Also - do the excursion bookings have times associated with them? We know what we'd like to book, but some might not work out well for us if the departure times are later in the day (Dude's a morning kid...) We were going to err on the side of booking them, and then cancelling later before the deadline, but I thought I would ask again, so that DH knows what he's doing.

Thanks!

If your booking day is on Nov. 12, then you can book when the 11th turns into the 12th at midnight eastern time. We are in the Central time zone, so, in your example, we technically would have booked on Nov. 11 at 11pm CT.

I looked at the port adventures where you will be able to book them, and I don't see times listed. Others may have ideas of how to find this info. :confused3

Hey, Sarbah! Just noticed this on your countdown...2 Months, 2 Weeks, and 2 Days until your (maybe) cruise :confused3 Are you still deciding if you are going to join? :goodvibes

Thanks! We are EST (that much I had figured out!). We will live dangerously on the timing front! ; )

Haha! No, I've just been too lazy to create a new ticker! ;) I've paid the cruise in full, booked airfare, reserved hotel rooms, cars, and excursions. Pretty sure I'm going.

Maybe I'll add in our 2014 cruise! My husband has started talking about that one! ;)

This is driving me crazy. I remember someone a while back posting something about doing certain San Juan excursions on your own. I have tried searching the thread but obviously I am missing the right keywords. Could someone tell me which page it was on?

The last few weeks have gotten away from me and now it is the day before us lowly first time Disney cruisers can check-in/ sign up for excursions, so I am trying to plan out our potential excursions with the family.

is anyone doing any of the private tours at San Juan?

We thought about it, but then decided that by San Juan day, DS4 will really need a chill-out day (as will his parents), so we're hoping to book one of the resort excursions tonight.

I found this one lone post earlier about taking a taxi around San Juan today - but I don't think it was a DCL tour. There is other information on the thread too, but when I read it, I figured that I just don't want to complicate things with DS4 that day.

Good luck tonight - I'm hoping my husband has his usual good luck!

Hi all

If you are in FE group 1, and you think it will help you, I can share my spreadsheet I made based on the info that thrillfan sent around (THANKS for organizing!) - I'm a bit of a spreadsheet fanatic (geek) so it helped me plan, anyway.

Please PM me for the link.

Just wanted to pop in to say good luck to all of you booking tonight. I hope you are all able to get the bookings you are after! pixiedust:

Thanks! We are still sitting here discussing (and discussing) the excursions :scratchin:scratchin . I think we are in the home stretch. I didn't realize it would be so challenging to try to appease 5 adults and 2 children. Still waiting for the final ok from my brother. :crowded:
