1/26/2013-Fantasy-Eastern including Puerto Rico

I believe gold CC members were able to do their online bookings, did everyone get what they wanted?

I got the same email from SW, I need to look at dates/rates too.

19 more days for me.

Nine. Teen.

Eee vacation!

(I started rehab today! I FEEL LIKE THE END MAY BE NEAR!)

I'm glad SW sent out this sale email this morning. I looked at their rates and they didn't look all that great to me for flights from PHL to MCO. So I checked USAir's website and we got flights $49 each way! :cool1:  :woohoo: :dance3: We're flyin down Wed. morning before the cruise and flying back late Sat. night the cruise gets back. I wanted to fly back Sun. morning, but those flights were about $100 more per person.
For that fare, we'll probably drive ourselves to the airport and park there.

I'M THRILLED!!!!!

Hope rehab goes well for you.
I have an appt. with my foot ortho on Monday. Last month I had problems on the NYC/Canada cruise and now my right foot has been hurting on and off. Yesterday it was even hurting when I was driving - that's not good. :headache:

No, it's not! I'm glad that my ankle is my left one - my four knee surgeries and stress injury were on my right leg so that was a lot - a LOT - of not driving. I do feel silly driving myself to work and then grabbing my crutches but eh.

Hopefully all will be well for you!

Nice! We got flights at almost as good a price, but it's a 7pm flight home on Saturday. Again, that's not the end of the world, especially since MCO has free wi-fi. My TA is looking into other low-key options for us, but, eh, no biggie. :)

MCO has free wifi? I didn't know that!

Oh yes! I have killed MANY hours at that airport, catching up on emails.

(I'm not sure how I feel about that)
(of course, now that Disney offers free wi-fi, it will likely be fewer hours)

Our flight home is 7:30 Sat. night. But we have the luxury of going to our house down there and doing laundry before heading back to the airport around 6pm. Didn't want to leave it all for DD to do down there. Besides, the majority of the clothes we'll pack for the cruise stay down there. Next month when we are down we have to look to see what we need to bring with us in January, hopefully not much.

All,

I just received the email about this from Southwest - 40% off "wanna get away" flights through Southwest. My flight went from $141 each way to $89 each way. The dates around our cruise are available!

Thank you so much for posting this! I was able to rebook and save almost $500 on 4 tickets! Now we just have to plan another vacation to use the credit :-)

I was looking at San Juan excursions too. I was going to sign up for the Bacardi excursion or Bacardi/Old SJ excursion until I started looking at Trip Advisor. I found for a 50¢ each way/person and a $3 each way/per person taxi ride we can get to Casa Bacardi on our own to do the free tour, no need to spend $31/person. And the excursion that includes the Old SJ tour with included entrance fee to San Cristobal Fortress is $59 and the Fortress fee is only $3/person. So we'll save a lot of money doing that on our own, $30 for 3 of us instead of $177 for 3 of us.

Not sure if anyone knows, but San Cristobal Fortress and El Morro are National Parks and are included in the access pass if anyone has one. http://www.nps.gov/saju/index.htm

A little Disney trivia - part of the Wizards of Waverly Place movie and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides were filmed at San Cristobal.

Thanks jilljill for sharing this info as I am interested in doing the Bacardi tour and El Morro.

My DH and I are going on this cruise and very excited about a new port of call.
We haven't cruised in two years and are missing DCL big time.
We are in our mid 50's and will be those crazy people either riding the aquaduck over and over or laying on deck 4 loungers! DH will be found every afternoon/evening in McGills, I'm very sure! You can find me daily reading by the adult pool or in the spa on a heated lounger. :beach:

Hurry Up January!

I am happy that you all are getting a deal on your flights. Every penny counts when I get to keep it and they get to do without it. That leaves money for something fun.... massage, rain forrest room, Palos, Remys, or something like that lol. I am going to drive down and spend a couple days at the beach with the DD, I am hoping gas prices drop oh lets say somewhere around Jan. 23 or so lol. I have had a couple of familys ask about the FE Group if anyone is interested in joining just pm me. I will be happy to answer any questions. Dead line to sign up is going to be December 26 this will give everybody a month to get all of their FE gifts done. If you have signed up to pertisapate and would like me to send a list of rooms and name just PM me and I will send them to you.

Can anyone supply me with a link to the DCL bus? I can't seem to find the cost for a one way ride. We are thinking we might do WDW for the three days before the cruise and weighing all options.

If not a link, just an estimate?
Thanks in advance.

Yup, I agree with cblack - it's $35/person, each way. If there are only 2 of you, DCL is typically a better choice (than private shuttles). If there are more than 2, a private shuttle is generally a better deal.

Disney released some discount rates for the dates around our cruise, so my awesome TA is looking into the cost. If it's comparable to what we got at the Ramada Suites near the airport, my husband has instructed me to make the change. Well, that sounds pushier than he was. I said "hey, sale. Want to look at price or want to stay put?" "look at price! If similar, let's go!" (He's a closet Disney fan. We pretend that I don't know that).

We just booked a cruise on Oasis of the Seas for January 2014. I can't believe I planned that far ahead! (I can't believe that's the third cruise I've booked with that initial deposit since January of this year)

Thanks for the link. Looks like it would be the same cost as renting a car and dropping it off at the port. We are flying into Sanford and the ground options to wow aren't that great. We are thinking of taking advantage of the promotion that came out yesterday too. Since we will be down for the week post cruise will likely go for a couple days post cruise. My husband also likes people to think it is I that is addicted to Disney. The fact that he has a grumpy shirt/hoody says differently.
