1/26/2013-Fantasy-Eastern including Puerto Rico

I will be on this 1-26-2013 Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean cruise as well. I will have 3 of my teammates with me. We work the Superbowl every year and do "something" special each year before the Superbowl. Last year it was the Disney Dream. The year before was Cancun, Mexico. This year will be the 7-night Disney Fantasy sailing. We'll be "running" from the ship on 2-2-2013 to catch a flight to New Orleans.

We are all adults and one 21 year old (female). Not sure what our plans are yet while on-board or any other things. Just excited to be on the Fantasy!

:welcome: What a neat tradition and something fun to look forward to post- cruise! :thumbsup2

Leaving tomorrow for a quick disney fix. Our DD is attending a swim camp in Orlando this weekend so we are going to the halloween party tomorrow evening. I upgraded us to the contemporary last night, but it's a secret! I had to tell someone, I think I am bursting at the seams!

Houseofstaggs and hairmajesty I have you signed up for the FE group what I need is room #, age, gender, and favorite character of everyboby in your group. I will check our facebook group if you would like to put it on there or I will wait till you get 10 post so you can private post me. just let me know what you will be doing thank and I am happy to have you join our FE group.

I can't figure out how to do a PM (maybe I'm too new?), but I'm also interested in joining the facebook group and joining a fish extender group please. Can you help? I hope I don't sound too helpless! Thank you!

Confession: I haven't read through the entire thread.
Sorry if someone already answered this. Is there a character breakfast on this cruise?

Also, what is the best night to book Remy? I don't want my kids (ages 3 and 5) to miss out on the dinner "shows," such as pirate night or the Animator's Palate show . . .

Thanks for your input!

:welcome: Donnah! You need 10 posts to be able to send a private message. You can easily get 10 by scanning this thread and answering some of the questions we have posed or you can ask questions here or on the mainboard. It looks like you are almost halfway there :thumbsup2

Once you get 10 posts, you can click on my name and select send private message. To join facebook, I need your name and email address used on facebook. To join the FE, you will need to send a private message to thrillfan. :goodvibes

I don't think there is a character breakfast on the Fantasy. I think those are only held on the Magic and Wonder.

We requested the AERAERA rotation and booked Palo dinner for the night we are in San Juan. We aren't doing Remy, and I'm not sure which night I would book it if we were because there were things we didn't want to miss the other nights. :confused3

You can request your dining rotation? Disney has amazing customer service (understatement)!

Is there a Palo brunch option? Or tea? Or am I getting ships confused again?

Thanks!

Yes, you can request a rotation, but there are no guarantees.

Thete are palo brunches, and I've even seen reviews of remy brunch. I think the high tea was discontinued at some point...others chime in if I am remembering incorrectly.

I didn't know we could request that either. What do the other rotations look like?

As of now, the rotations for the eastern Caribbean are: AERAERA, ERAERAE, RAERAER. When I made my request the person did say these could change, but they made the note on my reservation. And, again, they wont guarantee you will get this rotation.

You are going to be surprised when I confess that this is actually our 2nd Disney cruise in 5 months, because clearly I remain clueless. We were on the Magic in August, though, and there are obviously lots of differences! Our traveling family includes my 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son as well are my in-laws. There are a lot of varied ages/interests to coordinate, but it was so easy on our last cruise that I convinced them all to do it again!

And, what I'm learning is that I need to post everything in separate posts so that I can get my 10 to PM people! Yikes!

So, question 1:
Is there an Alice or Wendy Tea on the Fantasy?

Thanks!

Any idea of average temperatures? I know Castaway Cay can be chilly (relatively--I'm from New England) that time of year, but are the other ports also typically cool at the end of January?

Does anyone know how long of a shuttle ride it is from the airport to the port?

OK, and this is the last question for today (well, maybe for the next hour):

Can anyone give completely solicited advice/random tips specific to the Fantasy?

Thanks all!

Hi! We are travelling with a 4.5 year old boy who loves girls right now, so he might well enjoy your daughter.

I *think* there is no tea, but I am not certain. Someone will correct me if I wrong.

If you're taking the Disney Cruise Line shuttle, it takes about 1 hour with nominal traffic. The ride is pretty nice. It's a motorcoach and they have a video playing on monitors scattered throughout the coach. The video reviews many aspects of the cruise and the checkin process at the terminal.
