Oh I love the days at sea! We all slept a little later. Then MIL and I went to brunch at Palo. It was FABULOUS and lived up to every expectation I had from reading these boards. We had Chris from Romania as our server who was SO good, very professional but also very warm at the same time. I am on a restricted diet due to a chronic GI condition,so could not eat most of the antipasti or salads, but I did love the cheese assortment. MIL enjoyed teh raw bar especially the crab legs. we declined one of their pizzas- Chris looked offended- but we just couldn't do it all. I then had Eggs Benedict, which were perfect. Forgot what MIL had but she liked it. Chris also brought over a pasta for us to share. Coffee and desserts were delightful, although there was not much room left for dessert. All in all, this was one of the high points of our week.
Next we went to the Goofy pool. The deck area was not as crowded as I thought it would be for a sea day. Got a table in the shade, the girls had lunch. Then we swam,or tried to. Unfortunately there were alot, and I mean alot of kids jumping in the pool (despite the No Jumping sign) and it was not fun to keep trying to avoid someone landing on your head,so we switched to the Mickey pool for awhile.
Girls needed a rest by this point. We do this every other day or so and I find it avoids having two dazed cranky kids. While they slept,I went to the adult pool and it was truly an oasis. Very enjoyable, did not want to leave to get ready for dinner. Try to find an hour or two to spend at the Quiet COve,its heavenly.
Dinner was at Lumieres, which was my favorite of the 3 restaurants. The fried camembert fritters were out of this world according to my taste buds. The potatoe encrusted cod taht followed was also very good. Can't remember what dessert was but I had a little of something.
After dinner it was the Golden Mickeys which was magical. Tucked the girls in and relaxed on our balcony before bed.
