1/17/09 Magic anyone???

We just paid in full and paid my mommie in law's in full!!! It's official!! I can't wait! We haven't booked any time at Palo, but weren't sure we wanted to ... we'll see! What sort of things book up?? we're not really planning to do a ton of extras since we're spending so much on our cruise ... we'll probably just enjoy what there is.

Any suggestions on things we just really shouldn't pass up?

Try to do something at Palo's. I actually would recommend the brunch, it's the best of the food, without missing any of the dinners.
If you can you can try the wine, beer or tequila tastings, they are great!

I would most definately not pass up the shows. Definately go see the shows that the cruise line puts on. These would be Golden Mickeys, Twice Charmed and Dreams. The other shows All Aboard and Remember the Magic are good too. The shows are Broadway caliber and are fun for the whole family.

Also, definately set some time for yourself because the kids are going to love the Oceaneer Club or Lab depending upon their age. This is the only vacation that we as Mommy and Daddy have truly been able to enjoy because of some "ME" time or "US" time. that's because we could not drag our kids from the clubs.

So our booking window opens on Tuesday? I have been so wrapped up in other things that I didn't realize it was so soon.
I only want to book a spa treatment so good luck with your Palo reservations!

Great that's a port day isn't it??

On our first cruise, I was not able to get any Palo ressies at the 75-day mark. As soon as we boarded we headed directly to Rockin' Bar D and had no trouble at all getting a Palo brunch reservation for the day/time we wanted. Good luck!

Well, we are a large party and since online you can't book more than 4 people at a table, we have to book seperate ressies for 6pm and 7pm, and we still have to book one more for the final couple. Of course, they are the only ones who are not Castaway Club, so we had to wait. We're hoping they can work some magic and get us all together.

Well, we are literally all set and have entered a holding pattern until it is time to start packing. My wife and I both received our passports this week. It wasn't that bad, I think we got them in about 24 days. That must be unbelievable since more and more people are getting passports and in years past it took us months in order to get our and our kid's first passports. I wonder if they are really checking into the facts that are put down on the forms?

Actually, one more thing to do and that is to watch the rental agencies to wait for January rates and specials to come out. We will be flying in early on Friday (weather permiting) and will be staying at the Hyatt (MCO). We will need a car to travel down and visit my 93 year old Aunt for the day. So, only waiting for Dollar rent a car's rates. I think they have the best rates, at least out of the airport.
