Mike & Kathy, glad to hear that you have late seating. That's what Art & I prefer cause it's so much of a rush when you are out and about on excursions, etc to make the early dinner. If you don't mind, I'd like to tell my DU agent that we MUST be seated together. That way we can celebrate our 30th anniversaries together ... you know, being family and all.

Kathy ... I may be up for feeding the stingrays too. If we do that, are we doing it on our own? Would there be time for beach too or is that part of it? Not up to too many pushy sales people. just want the token T-shirt for me, hat for Art and something for AshLee.

RellingTwin - Mary, I can still see you guys walking along on deck 4 and your son dressed so cute in his tux ... heading for the "wet paint" .... Art & I almost laughed our a.. off. I'm so glad to see some of the CRUISETOBERFEST family is going. Now all we have to do is run an enlistment campaign on some of the others!

Just wondering ... are we going to be so crazy as to try for shirts and hats again? We could try and come up with our own design
(I have DISNEY PrintShop) and then e-mailing it around the group. I made up some designs for myself and printed on iron-on paper and put on my own T-shirts ... came out great.

Well gottaq go ... my chicken is calling me in the kitchen ... needs to go in the fryer for dinner.

I'm still trying to catch up with you guys and the 22+ pages of posts!

Hi Everyone, I just booked on the 9/28 Western Cruise. It will be myself my DH and 2 children DD age 12 and DS age 5. First time cruise for us. Big time Disney World fans. We know the parks inside and out. Time for something new. My twin sister is Rellingtwin. This will be her 3rd Disney cruise. So I will be expecting her help in all areas. I have heard so much about the "Dis Boards"! Now I can be a part of it too!
This will be a special trip for us. Something we have wanted to do for a long time. I hope to meet lots of people, and look forward to a wonderful trip.

Patty, thanks for that link. I was just thinking about going ahead and reserving a room at the Rad! 59.00!WOW!

I have been doing some research on the Stingray City tour. I found a highly recommened independent operator, (Capt. Marvin) who dose 2 hour, half day (3hour) and Full day tours. VERY reasonable prices! But the best part is his boat only carries 15-20 people at a time. Not the typical 80-100 the cruise ships tour do.

Welcome aboard Twinave. I told Mary that I would have trouble telling yall apart. She said not to worry that she is the pretty one This is going to be a great cruise. Typical sister one upmanship. You can spot me easily on the boat as I am the one that looks like I am having twins

This is shaping up to be another great cruise with the cruisetoberfesters and our partners in crime from the 09/29 group. Looking forward to meeting everyone and to having a great time. Kathy has already put her vote in for the stingray city excursion. Me I still am thinking about it.

Patty thanks for the LS tip about the Radisson.

PEAGREENID ... thanks for the Raddison info. Thats a much better rate than we paid last year. Hope that still includes parking for the duration of our cruise. It's cheaper to stay there just for the parking while on the cruise ... Can that be ... $8 a day just to part at the port.

Think I'll go ahead and book it and if we decide not to drive, I can always cancel it.

By the way ... I'm still trying to read this post from the start so I know who is who, if they have kids, what they do for $/work, etc. Where is Eric when we need him!

Has anyone heard from Dan & Scott lately ... those two were too funny.

Well..it's started! I have just made my reservations at the Raddison for Friday Sept 27th. The rate for the 1 BR is 30 less then last year, thanks to Patty's tip! I know from experience this is a limited offer, and once they book their allotted # of rooms at this rate there aren't anymore. You can book on line and use a CC to hold. You have until 6pm on the day of arrival to cancel without penalty.

Next month I am going to book the half day snorkeling trip with Capt Marvin. I will let them know others with our group may book. I will tell them "THE DIS GROUP". I want to wait until the times of tendering/docking are announced so I can pick the am or pm trip. Also that full day trip looks pretty good also!

Cathy, I love the idea for T shirts and bags ect. Where do you get "transfer paper" ? Can you customize it with a date?Can you e-mail your design? If so everyone could put it on themselves! And no copywrite problems!

J&J ...if you go back to Patty's post, there is a link at the bottom. Click on it.The price is for Fall Specials at the Raddison 59.00 for a reg room 99.00 for a King suite.When making your res. you put "Fall" in the field for Special Rate.

Relling Twin - I mean Mary .....

Glad you are doing the list thing - that was cool last year. We knew all about the group before ever stepping foot on the ship or in our case the Raddison.

We're going to call and make the reservations for the Raddison too cause you can't beat that price with a stick. Especially since parking at the port is $ 8 a day and free if you are at the Raddison.....they didn't change that did they?

About the "logo".....I bought the Disney Printmaster program and made up some of the designs for myself and Art. You can get the iron-on transfer paper at any Staples, Offie-Max, Wal-Mart or K-mart.....it's usually about $10 a pack for 10 sheets or so. You can cheat and cut the transfer paper in half and get two prints as long as the logo is only a half sheet worth. It comes out really good on T-shirts. Like you said ... each family does their own and no problem with sizes, availability, etc.

I'm working my brain to try and come up with a design (LOGO) with a "cruise name" that matches .... once it's done I'll E-mail to the group. I'll use the info that RellingTwin (Mary) gathers. Then we can edit it (pick it apart!) and see what we can all agree on.

I have a thought - as long as we don't have a few hundred DIS'ers in this group.... LOL...I may also do name tags that you can attach to your laynards.

Oh no, it's happening .... I'm getting psyched about this cruise.

Wasn't it really nice to be able to meet your cyber friends in person and have a friendly face around every corner on the ship.
It really just made the cruise the BEST for DH and myself.

Well gotta go ... gotta work to pay for the darn thing!

Glad my LS duties could be of use.........I think I'm too budget conscious to be a good ls........I'd probably give the ship away if I could. Better book those rooms quickly.........it appears the lurkers have gotten hold of this little tidbit....there may be none left for my pals.
