I agree with GoofyNut--I want my documents!!!!!!

To all the ladies--I went shopping today and found some great casual wear stuff on sale at Christopher & Banks. I love that store. Now I just have to decide what to wear for the formal nights...

I know we have a few kids on here that are doing the pin trading. Anybody know how many? I went to The Disney Store across the river (The Mississippi) and picked up some of the Iowa pins. I hope I got enough for all the Little Discruisears that are into the pin trading. My DD(10) decided she'd like to try the pin trading so she spent some of her birthday money on a few pins. I told her she'd have to have one of the other kids show here the ropes of pin trading on the ship. Any volunteers??

I think my DD is one of the girls your DD has been corresponding with. I was also thinking of heading to Disneyland and picking up a few pins for the kids. We aren't "Pin People" either, though, so let us know what you learn!

On the shopping front, I had DD try on her uniforms to see how much $$ we were going to have to spend on them THIS year (she doesn't start school until after Labor Day). Everything fit!! That means more money for vacation shopping! Yay!

Cozumel was a little disappointing to me; I have been many places and this did not excite me; the shopping was such that they were always after you and it was a lot of jewelry and I am not much into that. The bar that everyone mentions is about the rowdiest I have seen in my life and remember I am somewhat worldly--I went to 3 Club Meds in my 20s etc. What I did when I went on a Carnival Cruise (not to be compared with Disney which is much better) with some other realtors 5 yrs ago--is get off the ship--walk 1/2 mile to an upscale hotel that you paid about $20 to use their pool (you swim up to the bar) and walk a short way to a small not so bad beach with a bar. All drinks were included. At night I met up with my roommate who went to the ruins and loved them, and we took a taxi to shop. I hated shopping and joined one of the realtors husbands bar hopping (my hubby had to stay home); it was fun--but Carlos + etc was really rowdy. There were some decent shops right at the Pier and liquor and cigars, etc were real cheap. Hard Rock Cafe was fine and I bought a tee shirt there. I think I did not see enough of Cozumel. But after all it is Mexico and can not be compared with Key West which I love or Great Caymans which I hear is great. I am going to have an open mind when I visit it the second time.

We are all doing better here. DGD is up to 13lbs5oz and is as fiesty as ever. Kids started to school here yesterday. I know that in different states the speed limit in school zones are different. Here in Nashville the speed limit is 15 mph.

Kathy and I picked up a few things for the cruise at wally world today. Some new unmentionables, soap, stink good and a few other things. Still have to get some disposable underwater cameras. Not a problem here as they are in the stores year round.

I guess that it is time to play follow the fedex truck Last year it was quite a game as Kathy and I would yell "there goes one". Mike

Ladies, since I am of the "larger" variety. I went to the "other" Christopher Banks. Got some nice stuff also. I am really dreading the formal night. I do have three dresses, but am so much more comfortable in shorts and shirts. Last cruise we pretty much went to bed at 10 and didn't do the evening stuff. We were pretty tired! HOpe to stay up this time since we only have one child with us Did people wear their formal stuff to the shows, or change?

Can you tell I am just a "leetle" bit happy? First time in eighteen years they have all been in school ALL day! Actually, I am thinking I will be missing the little guy about noon time.
Now I have to study for the GRE. Am taking it on September 10th. I will need masssive loads of pixie dust to even get through it , let alone get a few questions right. I bought a couple of books and my kids can do the math better than I can LOL.
Oh well, am pretty much planning on taking it at least twice. Anyone taken it recently? Any advice?

Traded in my Sequoia today. have only had it about six months, but it is a true gas hog. Got a Toyota Sienna. It is a mini van. Swore I would not go back to a minivan, but heh, it carries seven people and uses much less gas. Has a darn good ride too! DD who is age 14 says we are back in dorkville! (sorry, if any of you also have a van ) No offense meant. Oh well, one day when "they" are all gone I will get whatever I want!

William--- I like the music. When you did it before I didn't have it, but do now. It is much better than the music my DS's listen too. I will be having dinner with you on the cruise so will be anxious to meet you. Enjoy the new school year.


Donna- My DS had two friends who went to Cancun for senior week and went down to Carlos and Charlies at Cozumel. Even they said that the place was to wild for them. Which is pretty amazing coming from 2 18 year old males. They didn't stay very long. I refused to let my son go to Cancun, just having him do Senior Week at Ocean City was nerve racking enough for me.

George-- Try this web site for information on Cozumel www.cozumel.net Can you tell that I research everything? We finally mowed those weeds on Sat. If this dry weather continues may not need to mow for the rest of the summer.

Kimber-- We don't have a Christopher & Banks in our area. I'm into Kohl's. I'm still watching for the one sun dress to go on the clearance rack. I bought one in June at 50% off and now they are only 25%. Summer is almost over, it needs to move to the clearance rack. DH had new suit for formal night. I now have 2 dresses I need to decide between. Guess will wear one for formal and the other for semiformal.

Hey, did anyone else ever read the readers clubhouse board, page, whatever? I did pretty regularly and when I went to see it tonight it has been removed. Something about people on the board being attacked. HOw sad. It seemed like a lot of people who just liked disney. Elaine

Elaine--- Never read that board you were talking about. However, some of the people on some of these forums get nasty. Makes you just want to reach out and shake them.

To all the DVC members I was just over on the DVC forum and saw that DCL is offering a special member only 4 day cruise on 2/2/03. Apparently the entire cruise is for DVC members and some people are already getting post cards and informtion should be up on the DVC web siet on 8/24/02. It is going to stop twice at Castway Cay. Just last week I put a deposit on a 4 day cruise (with converting to DVC points prior to final deposit) in a secret porthole room for 2/9 with the plan we would do some of the Daytona speed week races when we got back from the cruise. Now if the DVC cruise is a better deal, DH may have to wait to do the Daytona races. I just hate to give up the secret porthole room. Guess I will just have to wait to see what the offer is.

I think this DVC is something I need to learn about. We go to DW at least once a year and now this cruise addiction...Think we will be doing at least one of those a year too. How does it work?? Where can I go to get information? Sorry to be so "not with it" I think we listened to a time share thing at disney quite a few years ago, but this sounds different. Thanks for the info.

Nancy - GRE advice? Don't worry. Just a test that YOU have chosen to take in pursuit of a dream. Taking tests is a really easy thing. Read the question - Answer Correctly - Poof!!! All over!!! Know it is not that easy, I am really good at tests. ~ Relax ~

eShannon - You MUST join the DVC. Excellent deal. Joined in early 90's Third cruise using points exclusively. Sure that by now, someone provided info but if not let me know. Get it to you.

Sorcerer1 - Seperation can be TOUGH. Takes a lot of work, faith, honesty, trust, and LOVE. Call each othe twice a day - everyday. Try to get together about every other month if possible. Can be "lonely" sometimes but LOVE CONQUERS ALL

papa, you are a bad influence My husband and I saw a fed ex guy in our very small neighborhood. we followed him. Can you believe it???? Poor guy thought we were stalking him. I just leaned out the window and said we were going out and just wondered if he had planned on stopping by our house. He said sorry, mam not today

New Walmart opened down the hill today and I just got back. Go a really neat thing. It is where the over the door hangers are. It is a clear plastic carrier. My description doesn't do it justice. I think it will be really nice for carrying towels to Captain Marvins. and the beaches. It was only $3 so I can leave it when it gets all sandy
Also got the highlighters, and a new battery for my old timex watch. I love it cuz it has that indiglo so when you push the side it glows. Works better than a night light. Its great on the cruise if you wake up and want to go on the verandah without waking everyone up. Shines a great path!

Hey everyone!!!

Now you have me watching for the FedEx guy!!! I only have two days til I leave for Germany so hopefully he will show before I leave. Otherwise, my neighbor will hold the package hostage til I get back.

I am excited about going to Germany and London. The London trip is going to be three day whirlwind trip of three women with more energy than they deserve to have. We want to see and do everything possible....wonder if we will sleep, do the Brits sleep??? Oh well, Kathy will keep them awake and I will keep us out of jail and Dana will smile her sweet little smile and stickem with a pin or something.

It's exciting for me to be going on both trips....Germany and Disney Cruise....I seem to be going all the time lately. Our cats just kinda sniff me and look at each other as if to say.....She's back again!!!!

As Dennis put it in his posting.....we call each other every day twice a day. We have a strong relationship and friendship. This allows us the freedom to be who we are and where we need to be to do what we love doing. Dennis is a really special guy.....for an Irishman.

I received the package with the T-shirt stuff, thank you. Am I allowed to scan and digitize the design??? It would sew up so pretty on a shirt or something.

I will try to read this everyday until Saturday when I fly out of here to Germany. If I get close to a computer in Germany and no one is looking I will check email and this board. So please don't think I have abandon everyone. Stay healthy, wash your hands, as cleanliness fights off disease!!!!
