Joan it's natural the way you feel about Scott. Your his Mom and Mom's have a right to worry. Remember Nancy and I have brought up three boys so you arn't alone. To this day Joan when both of the boys are on duty at the Portland fire department nancy worries.
I think Scott wil do just fine. If is still gone in Sept Nancy and I will keep you busy on the Wonder so you won't have to worry.
This up coming Monday we wil be calling for our Parlo's resivations.
This afernoon Nancy is taking me to the Brunswick Music Theatre to see Jesus Christ Superstar. Last night we went to a Concert Reading of Desert Song which was originaly preformed in the early 60's .
Mary if we have as good weather as we did last Oct on Castaway it will be great. We can't wait.

This will be our third cruise on the Wonder, and our 2nd members cruise. Our favorite memories (besides being on the Wonder in October of 04 & 07 when the Red Sox won both World Series... GO SOX!) was seeing and listening to the "Legends of Disney". We had an absolutely incredible cruise!!

If you are a return cruiser you can do it at 90 days. I don't know about the spa but Palo's goes fast.

Well Scott if off, haven't heard from him since Memphis. Mom cried all the way back to work. He doesn't leave LA until 9:30 pm pacific time so I won't bug him.

Sea day would be Tuesday September 23rd. There are usually 3-4 times listed. I think like 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30. I could be wrong on the actual times.

Just for grins I logged in to see if there was a meet set up yet for the 2008 Members only cruise, and what do I find? The thread was started in 2005 and it's got over 3300 replies!!

Don't you think that this is a bit excessive??

Oh, well... anyway, my wife and I should be there... minus the wheelchair and broken ankle, thank G-d! (Unless I do something stupid again, of course!)

I think a mod changed the date. From the inital postings it was set up on 10/26/2007.

As for the 3300 replies - why not post and get to know each other??

2) if you are a brand new cruiser or a previous cruiser going on your first Member Cruise what questions do you have or what are you looking forward to based on others comments.

This will be our first member cruise, but it will be my third Disney Cruise and my sister Kathy's fourth. Our first, in 1999, was memorable. We went for our parents' 45th wedding anniversary. They got married in Sept., so Sept. '99 meant a run in with Hurricane Floyd. They took us to Cozumel to avoid the storm. This was the first time the Magic had gone anywhere other than the Bahamas. We didn't go to Castaway Cay, which wound up being significantly damaged by the storm. We had a great time, though. We were upgraded (believe it or not) into the Walt Disney Suite.
We did the same thing for their 50th. Think of Sept '04; think of Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. Another story for another day!

Good morning all,

My last day of work. Too much to do. Scott spent last night trying to convince me how safe Austraila and New Zeleand are. I am so worrired about his trip. But oh well he is a big boy. It's just so far away.

My sister and BIL were just in New Zealand for a couple of weeks in May/June! They thought it was actually a very safe country and enjoyed their stay very much.

The hills and mountains were a surprise, as we are now used to the prairie land of Illinois. They did take that Lord of the Rings tour and loved it! They both said the people were very friendly there and they had nothing but positive experiences.

I am sure Scott will have a wonderful trip too!

Hurricanes- we aren't having any......We don't say the H word in this house. Thanks to Ivan we have a new roof and fence. But a few extra days on the wonder----not a bad idea.

This will be our fourth Disney Cruise, first Member Cruise and first cruise on the Wonder. We're looking forward to meeting new friends and enjoying the whole DVC Member experience. And I LOVE Castaway cay!!!!!
