Robin please forgive me as I suffer from CRS (Can't Remember Stuff) and totally forgot about that. So with the tag game does everyone only bring one gift? Or can you still bring little gifts for everyone? I'm a little confused.

You bring a gift for everyone.

Example - My list says

Mark and Mary
Frank
Tina
Dan and Nan
Mary and Karen.

I will go "Tag" Mark and Mary with a little something special.
Note: I will be the first person on someone else's list and they will "tag" me.

When I get "tagged", I will then go "tag" Frank's stateroom.
The next time I get tagged I will go take something to Tina's stateroom
By the end of the cruise everyone should have tagged me, and I should have tagged everyone.

On the last cruise each participant was given a little magnet to leave on the stateroom door as they deposited thier little surprise. This way they knew they had been tagged.

The co-ordinator on our last cruise did a better job at explaining, let me see if I can find the explanation

Okay here is how it was explained to me. Note this was a 7 day cruise so timelines will be altered.

OK...more info on DIS-Tag – (a little disclaimer first...I will try really hard to offer an explanation...please be patient with me --- I have a challenge with written communication)

I suggest we choose a date that people need to make a yes-no commitment. Early to mid September would probably work well [edited - appears Saturday, September 15th...is our registration deadline]. We all need time to prepare ‘our gifts’ and I’ll need a few days to create/copy the participant list and assemble the magnets (DIS-Tag magnets: I’ll shrink ‘our logo’ down and adhere it to a magnet...they will be ½ the size of a business card). You will need to prepare one (1) item per person/family participating. As of Saturday, September 8th....we have 16 Dis'ers participating. I'll send send out an updated list - later today/tomorrow.

At our DIS-Meet...I’ll pass out to all participating; (1) magnet and (1) list of participants. – after our meeting....THE GAME IS ON (as they say)!!!

The ‘list’ will look similar to this:

3. Donald Duck (dis screen name) 2251
4. Ariel (dis screen name) 4021
5. Goofy (dis screen name) 4580

Post our meeting....AND....when convent for you/yours...deliver your ‘item’ and place the magnet toward the top of the recipients stateroom door. For the purpose of this explanation...using Ariel from the above participants....”Number 4—Ariel” would deliver to Goofy at stateroom 4580. Then....Ariel would wait for Donald Duck to deliver her an item. After Donald tags Ariel...she...will --- at a good time for her and her family...and tag the next person. In this example...she would move to the top of the list and tag Mickey Mouse at stateroom 1060. She will continue until she tags the person listed directly above her name --- Donald Duck.

Now...it is possible you’ll be having too much fun (my sincere hopes) and the game might slow up a bit....no worries – cuz...this game is to enhance your time aboard the ship...not be a burden. There is no need to treat your last ‘TAG’ as a ‘hot potato’. If by Thursday morning (my suggestion – am open to others input), you still have an item(s) to deliver...when convenient --- deliver the remaining items to the persons left on your list – by end of day Thursday.

I really hope...all have some great experiences playing this game. We (the whole family) have some fantastic memories playing DIS-Tag---the anticipation of – “did we get tagged”...”what got delivered”...”hurry Dad...open the door”...etc. Here’s a short story – one participant, a young Grandmother, did not want to ‘get caught’ tagging another person...she and her husband would sneak around the hallways like they were in a Mission Impossible movie. Every time I think of her...I can’t help but laugh. Well...this couple would not be in Mission Impossible...maybe more like the comic routine of Agents 66 & 99 in “Get Smart” (tell me you all remember Get Smart ---- cuz...I’m feeling a little aged right about now).

I think we need to set our deadline to let me know if you are participating somewhere around the first of August. That way we will know how many to buy for and will have time to shop.

I'm still a little confused on the delivery, but I think I have it. If on the last day we have not been tagged a sufficient amount of times to deliver to others, we will just go deliver their's - is that right? Mack and I will participate and August 1 is fine.

I got some wonderful news today. Got a letter from the doctor and my A1c (which measures my blood glucose) is under 7! Not quite at goal but an improvement over my last one and the doctor is very happy. Just need a follow-up in 3 months time. So I'm rejoicing.

Add to that the fact that in a little over a week we'll be on the beautiful Disney Magic and I'm thinking that today is a very good day!

Thanks! Very true about stress. The numbers have been a little higher this past week and I'm sure part of it is all that is going on at work. Definately plan to get lots of rest and lots of exercise on the cruise.

I'm sure Robin can explain it better because I admit I'm a little confused as well.

Robin - let's say last cruise we had 25 people doing the fish extender. With the tag game would we still buy for 25 or would those 25 people be divided up into smaller groups of say 5 and we only buy for them?

Good job Mary, all this really pays off. Don't stress on your cruise about it though. Just walk in the mornings and never take the elevator. I only take the elevator if I have dress shoes on.

Don't worry about making the fish extender. I had a plastic box with stickers. I am kicking myself for tossing it in garbage last time, but we had so much stuff from DVC I need all the room. Maybe I can make another.

The rules are pretty flexible. We can do everyone or divide up into smaller groups. On our cruise we had 10 people end up participating. I am open for suggestions.

Hi Everyone!

OK, so I have been lurking off & on and finally decided to introduce our family.

This will be our first members cruise and we can't wait! We just went on our first DCL back in February (Western/Magic) and it was great.
We became DVC members in Dec. 2007 at SSR. We will arrive too late for the DIS meet the night before, but will meet up with y'all at the DIS meet onboard.

We have lived in Michigan for the past 2 years, although Texas is "home".

We did the Fish Extenders back in February and the kids loved it, so we definitely want to sign up again for this cruise!!!! I have already started buying a few things. In regards to the FE, I don't sew a thing either so I bought one on eBay for around $15. I have also seen people who just bought a plain canvas bag at their local craft store and either wrote on it with sharpies and/or ironed on some appliques. You could even look around on the DISigns board to see if someone would personalize something for you and then print it up on iron-on transfer paper. HTH!

I'll start posting more as we get closer to the cruise, but just wanted to say "Hi"!
