Where does one get an extender, I've never seen anything like it???

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!



I don't think we've had anyone step up to be a coordinator for it yet this year. We still have time as this is something that is usually organized in the last month or so. If anyone wants to start the list and coordinate feel free to take it over.



Joanne - you aren't a pest at all. The onboard booking is usually 10% off the rack rate and for a 7 day I believe it is a $200 OBC.



The fish extender is something that you hang off your message fish. Here is an example of one:

These started on the first Repo cruise when one of the DISers found these (like the one above) at a dollar store I think and bought them for her fellow cruisers. Others brought other gifts and the tradition started. Not all cruise groups do this but we did on last years Member Cruise and it was fun. Those who want to participate let the coordinator know (as noted above we don't have a coordinator yet). Then you either make or buy little treats for each room. Some people do one for each person in the room while others do one gift for each room - it is up to you. Linda (seaulater) listed all those who were participating in the mini-navigator she makes up for us (which lists all the room numbers etc.). Then at some point in the cruise you visit the rooms and leave your gifts. Hope I explained that all right.

fish extender

We made our last year- Well i made it, Annette designed it. It was a blast and really got us in the mood to sail. We still have it and will use it again this year. There is a thread about it. I will have annette post it when she gets home from work. You can also buy it. We looked at hanging organizers that you can buy and decorate but it was fun making it. You can also buy them on Ebay.

We will also make door decorations after they announce the theme. Annette did all of ours last year with my neice and she was so excited about it she made one for her door at home because she wasnt sailing with us.

Hope it helps. We did gifts every night last cruise. Just little items. It was a lot of fun. Each night before we went to bed, so that it was a nice surprise in the morning. We tried to tie each gift in with what was happening the next day. For example, for one of the CC days, we did beach balls. We got a lot of the stuff from Windy City novelities.

I leave Saturday for a two week cruise in the Caribbean with my family. We are celebrating a significant birthday for my sister Kathy on April 25. We are also celebrating my dad's on the 24th. We leave from San Juan on the Crown Princess. This is only my 4th ocean cruise and I am looking forward to it. I am sure lucky to be able to do 2 cruises this year. While I don't want to rush spring and summer (my favorite season), the Member Cruise will make the fall easier to deal with. I will check in when we get back May 3.

I got good news yesterday. We had an offer on our Vero points we were selling. Sending the paperwork today. The money will go into our wish fund for when they open up selling at Ko Olina!

Oh that sounds nice! If you have time head up to Paradise Point as well. It is a short walk from where the ship docks and is a tram ride up. Great views of the ship and port area from up there!

Yes- I work in Destin for a resort. It is a nice thing to see every day. I have to admit we are spoiled. Except with the econ omy right now not as many people are traveling.

Good morning everybody. It's a beautiful spring morning here in Maine.
Yesterday didn't get a chance to jump on. We had our Grand daugher with us all day so we were busy. I spent most of the day outside working.
Nana Nancy spent her time with Hannah all day. We took her back after supper.
Mary I hope you and Mark have a great time on the Magic. Wish we were going.
Joan did I understand you right you will be booking the 7 day when we are on the Member Cruise? If that is the case that will give me all kinds of time to convince Nancy we should go and when we meet in Sept you will have to work on her. I think the only thing holdering her back is the issues with her Mom an Dad.

Robin please forgive me as I suffer from CRS (Can't Remember Stuff) and totally forgot about that. So with the tag game does everyone only bring one gift? Or can you still bring little gifts for everyone? I'm a little confused.
