Yeah! The more the merrier! We'll be getting the party started a whole day earlier!

Just and FYI for everyone. If we do something like the Grand Gathering that has a specific starting time we can adjust the DIS meet to accomodate it. For example if dinner check in is at 7 we can move the meet back to 4 or 4:30 and still have plenty of time to get over there. That would give those who want to spend time at the pools or in the parks more time to enjoy. Of course if we go someplace else and want to do an earlier dinner (say 5) we can keep it at 3. Guess what I'm trying to say is we can be flexible about the DIS meet starting time. :)

Been busy this mornning getting hair cut and doing my honey do list.
Nancy went into sub this afternoon.
Robin I think that great you overseeing the reservations. I still think if we can find a place at Epcot and then watch eluminations as a Cruise group that would be a blast. Seeing the meet is going to be at BCV we all can go after the meet. Also theres usually a good show by the American Pavillion. As I said yesterday before the cruise this past year we saw Juice Newton then after we saw the original Village people.
Those are my thoughts Robin.
PS
Or maybe we could eat somewhere on the Boardwalk?
danandnan

Dan, the Grand Gathering is at Epcot and gives you a specific location for the light show. It sounds great to us.

I think thats a GREAT IDEA . After the meet we all can walk over to Epcot have dinner catch eluminations and have a great kick off to the Cruise.
I agree Joan. What you think Mary.
Also I read you could order T shirts for the ocassion. Am I right Robin?
danandnan
PS this takes the wondering where are we going to eat
danandnan

I think the Grand Gathering is a good idea. Robin will have to check to see if they are having it the night we are looking for. I don't know a lot about these type of events but I don't think they hold them every night.

I did see something about ordering Grand Gathering t-shirts but there is no specific into. Robin can you ask about that as well.

I know when the thread first started Kay had mentioned maybe doing shirts for the group. We did this on the 2005 and 2006 member cruises. Would anyone be interested in this? Anyone want to take on the project?

See Dan I'm just the delegator. ;)

Wow, it's only been a day and a half and I had to go through 5 pages :)

We would love to join you but we will be in route to the port. We have decided to do another straight through 21 hour drive and stay the night near the port again.

I'm definitely NOT a graphics kind of person. But if someone decides to do shirts, it would be great if they were on Cafe Press or some similar website so we could order and have delivered right to our homes!

Thanks!

I agree Linda - that worked really well in 2006. Plus it allows for a wide variety of colors, sizes, and even styles (like Polo shirts).

Based on the respones, I'm glad I found the info on the Grand Gathering. I want to give Robin a big Thanks for taking on the role of coordinator for the event.

By the way we got 3 inches of snow today. Tomorrow it will be very cold and more snow to come on Friday. I am sooooooooooo over it!!!

Annette

Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday!

Annette - I'm glad you suggested it as well. :)

Mandy - more power to you on the drive down. I could never do it straight through. We always break it up into two full days. Hopefully you'll have better driving weather than last year.

Good morning all,

Thanks Robin for doing the planning.

It is freezing here today 32 degrees. This weather has been so weird, 70's a few weeks ago and now back in the 30's. I am so ready for spring- I know I have nothing to complain about after all you snow bunnies, but this is Florida!!

It will be so nice to start the party the night before!!!!

Well Joan I will swap your 32 degrees for our 8 inches of heavy wet snow we got last night. I just got in from cleaning it up. Thank god for snowblowers. I don't envy anbody that has to shovel this stuff it heavy because we had about an hour of rain after the snow. 20miles north of us in Lewiston they had 12plus inches on rain.
I better go say by to Nanc she is going into sub until noon today.Catch you all later.
danandnan

As we speak how many do we have for the gathering? This is going to be a great time.
To bad the right Disney people didn,t what we were planning as DVC members and Members Cruise people they might do something for good advertising for the DVC and Members Cruise
danandnan

Dan - be careful with that snow. The heavy stuff can be a killer even with a snowblower!

Joanne - I hear you! I'm ready for Spring myself.

We had a lot of snow here. i used the snow blower last night and there was another 4-5 inches on snow in the driveway this morning. :scared1:

We leave for a 7 day cruise on Holland America Sunday. It can't happen soon enough!:woohoo:
