Okay everybody. Time for me to catch up!

Weather here today 65 degrees and cloudy. Its our usual Jan. thaw.

Kay- I hope everything is ok with Shelby

Dan- Do you know the turn around time on passports? Manda & I need to get ours. I keep putting it off. Since we are only 37 weeks out, I better get on it.

Not a hockey fan, so nothing to add there.

Linda- I hate snow. I don't know how you do it.

Manda did a great job on our cabinets. It looks great.
I think that's all for now. Let me know if I missed anything.

Sorry I still call it the Garden. I know its called The TD Banknorth Garden.
IT's just my era. Right Mary?
I go way back as a kid I saw Ted Williams play Sammy White, Jackie Jensen, Mel Parnell and ect. In fact Carol I was at Fenway when Ted Williams played his last game in cold rainey Oct day.

You do go back a bit further than me with my beloved Red Sox, lol. When I was a kid my grandmother was dating (long term relationship lol) a gentleman who was very well connnected shall we say with the Sox. We had box seats whenever we wanted and would chat up the team prior to the game.

The closest I got to Ted Williams was one day when I ran into him while shopping in the old Nashua Mall, lol. I worked for Jordan's Furniture for 20 years and did spend a few days waiting on Rico Petrocelli too.

Now when I hear references to the "Sox" out here (Chicago) I still always think of my beloved team, lol.

Mary/Annette/Amanda-

Aren't you all loving this warm weather? It was 63 here today and I went to school without a jacket. I know that isn't going to last long though.

As for me school starts today. I am such a nerd because I was happy to go to one of my finance classes. I have a bit of homework, nothing major - yet.

It was 71 degrees today here in the Chicago 'burbs! A far cry from the high of 3 degrees for a couple of days last week! We had the tornado watch however, late afternoon till 9 pm. Still thundering and lightening outside here now yikes!

good morning everyone - back to my volunteer work at the hospital today.

Yesterday I had training for worknig the primary polls on the 29th. I will be the Clerk in my area. You could never guess what is involved in the work that needs to be done. It is going to be some experience. I am tired just from the training portion. :scared1:

After I got home, I booked another cruise - but this one was for August, 2009. Made me feel better. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great day and very glad the weather has warmed up for quite a few of you.

Good morning everyone! We had some very wacky weather last night. Felt more like it was late March than January. Going back down into the 40's today but lots of flood warnings. Hope everyone in the path of these storms stay safe.

Hello all, just checking in! :hippie:

Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and is off to a great start for 2008. :cool1:

We had an awesome time at SSR and on the Magic last month (of course!) We rebooked onboard for 2009, and decided afterward to do B2B cruises Sept 12th and 19th!

Now I'm finalizing plans for our trip to Korea and Japan in April. I noticed a couple days ago that our fare to Korea and home from Tokyo had gone down by $400! So I called Lufthansa and rebooked for the lower fare. Then I used the savings to pay for our tickets to Germany for our Adventures by Disney trip this summer!

I also need to call MS to request the Arusha Savannah for our stay in September....it's always something.

Wendy

Wendy - sounds like you and your DD have quite a year planned. Enjoy!

It was also in the mid 70s here yesterday. We are suppose to stay in the 60s for the rest of the week and drop down to the 40s for the weekend.

Yesterday was a return to reality. Back to work with a vengence. Seems like I have to catch up for all the time we had off. Oh well, I just keep repeating to myself - "job security, job security"

Glad to see everyone is enjoying a little sneak preview of spring. I only hope the trees don't start budding only to lose the flowers when the cold weather returns.

37 weeks - ahhhh. Can't wait.

ah - your Germany trip is going to be awesome. I am doing that one on June 20th. Can't wait for it. What are your dates for the Germany trip?
Did you use points or cash for it?

We're going July 25th, so I'll be pumping you for info when you get back. :goodvibes

Have you booked your airfare yet? Once you get into the EU the prices are pretty cheap, so be sure to do some comparison shopping. I booked our flights through the Lufthansa Belgium site and it was less than 200 Euros r/t total for both of us (around $275). We live in Brussels. When I checked the rate on the Lufthansa-USA site it was $371.

I booked airfare w/Delta and Disney did it for me. For this type of trip, and if you book w/them and if anything goes hairwire, they walk you thru the disaster and you are not stranded. With me being a solo, I don't want to get stuck anywhere at anytime. It was worth it to me.

But I did check the airfare and it was very comparable.

Can't wait to sleep in Repunzel's Castle. Should be so much fun.

And I have been to the Neuschwanstein Castle quite a few times already and know how awesome it is. I will see parts that I did not see previously.

Oh I forgot to mention I used points for myself and cash for my daughter. I'd originally booked direct with ABD. But I added on more points on the December cruise, and switched the ressie to MS. I was able to get the early booking discount on both the cash and points!

Don't know if you know this or not, BUT ------------

If you don't book with early booking, which we both did, you can get 10% off with an AP - That is not something that is documented anywhere, but if you ask, you will get 10% with an AP if you don't get early booking.

BUT - the early booking is much more profitable for us.

I'll be booking Ireland with my friends in Indy in the near future. That should be a good one also.

Oh that is good to know. I'm hoping they do Scotland in 2009. We spent a few days in Dublin last year and loved it. Ireland has such an interesting history. If we hadn't just been there, we'd definitely do it with Disney. If they don't offer Scotland next year we'll probably do the Austria, Czech Republic tour.

After we move back to the States, I want to do China with ABD.

Linda wants to do Czech Republic and so do I. Hopefully that one is in the future also.

Another one is Backstage Magic at DL, but that is not first on my list right now.

I just heard that the prem-ear at sea for Toy Story is going to happen on the Wonder in March, 2008.

Since I'll be on the ship with Kay on February 28-March 2, I'm hoping we will get to see it! That would be a blast!

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled programming!
