Timikiki said she just booked yesterday. I would call MS tomorrow.

Does anyone know is the Member Cruise sold out? Unfortunately I did not react to this when I was told about it during our DVC Stay at the world in October. :upsidedow

what a quiet day on our thread - don't know where the day went !!

hope everyone is OK with all the bad weather around the US.

Amanda - you must be tired. that is not relaxing work.

Today I have training so that I can work the primary polls this month. Hope I like doing it.

Also have to take my Shelby to the Dr.Vet and get her bandage changed on her leg where they lanced it last week. And then talk to Dr. about taking the growth out of her neck. I still am in a thither about what to do 'cause of her age.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone!

Well the holidays are officially over as I go back to a full 5 day work week. Managed to do a good deal of cleaning around the house yesterday. I also was able to clean out my file cabinet and put away all my 2007 receipts etc and put what I needed for taxes in my tax folder.

Did my workout this morning so I'm ready to have a great day. Hope everyone else does too.

Good morning all, hope you had a great weekend. Like Mary it is back to the 5 day work week. I am getting so excited about this cruise. Of course Mary posting the weekly count down doesn't help. :)

If anyone from DVC is reading it would be nice to know the theme of the cruise and see some website updates. :)

:goodvibes now, Mary, do you really think we would know that this early in the game??

but it would be nice :goodvibes

Happy Monday all! As Mary said, I'm back to a 5 day work week also, but its a relaxing week, the Dr. is out of town until Friday, So its just me, my backlog of insurance, the phone, and the computer!!! :cool1: Hope everyone has a great day! We have warm weather here in the Chicago area, its going to be over 60!

Morning all.

Oh....back to the 5 day work week. Oh well.

Had such a busy weekend. The drill team did great in competitions this last weekend. Jamie's solo was awesome. The snow and weather was miserable and the bleachers at the high school were "SMALL". Needless to say, after sitting on those things all night Friday and from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday, my muscles are still aching. Got up Saturday to the worse snow storm of the season thus far at 5 a.m. and had to drive 1 hour north to the competition. The snow plows had not been out and the freeway was a nightmare. At least 6 inches of snow on the freeway and we barely went at a crawl. In any case, knock on wood, everyone made it back and forth just fine. Just took alot longer driving than normal and then everywhere you walked outside it was like an ice skating rink. None of the parking lots had been cleared and the temperature was just right to make it freeze and be straight ice.

Now I hear the middle of the country is getting it.

Now I'm back to work, just wishing I could be on a cruise ship. Oh well................

Have a great week everyone!

Nancy and I had a busy Weekend we left Saturday morning at 8:20AM on the AMtrack to Boston from Portland. We went to see our 10year old grand play hockey on ice at Boston Gardens. The Brunswick PEE WEE and Aurburn played a game on the Bruins ice before the Bruins played the New Jersey Devils. Both games were great.
Nac and I got there early so we had a chance to go to Qunciey Market and eat lunch at Legal Seafood on State Street by the Boston aquarim.
The Kids game was from 4 until 5 so they kept us all in the Garden until the Bruins game . It was a long day.
After the game we caught the 11:10PM train back to Maine. We pulled in our drive at 2:20 yesterday morning. So needless to say we didn't do much yesterday .
I think were all bac to normal today. Nancy just said we are heading to turn in our passport paper to get done. We had our pictures taken last week.
Everybody have a great day.

Linda - sorry to hear about the storm! Yuck. We are enjoying 60 degree weather here today as Tina said and I hate to think what that means for the coming days. It was warm in January of '67 too and then we got hit with a massive snow storm (which being only 10 at the time I enjoyed).

Dan - sounds like you guys had a fun but long weekend. How cool that you got to go to a game at Boston Garden. I was a big hockey fan back in the day (used to be a season ticket holder for the Blackhawks) and would have loved to have seen a game there.

Tina - enjoy your quiet time to get caught up on your paperwork!

I haven't chimed in in a while, so I figured I say Hi.
My trips to disney are my lights at the end of the tunnels.

The first week in Feb we are going to SSR to celebrate my wife's BIG 50th birthday.

Then in May we are going for 2 weeks BCV around the Memorial Day holiday Our twins will be with us for part of the time.

Then in Sept the DVC Member Cruise B2B with the 3 day cruise.

Hope you all are well ! See ya real soon!

How cool that you got to go to a game at Boston Garden. !

Alas, the Boston Garden (home to the Bruins and Celtics) is no more. The Bostonian in me just had to reminisce about this, lol. After they tore it down, I had the opportunity to attend a private party at the new "Fleet Center". Just not the same. The old place holds lots of memories for me.... Here is the story of what happened to it:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Boston Garden
Location 150 Causeway Street
Boston, Massachusetts, 02114
Opened 1928
Closed September 28, 1995
Demolished 1998
Former names Boston Madison Square Garden
Tenants Boston Bruins (NHL) (1928-1995)
Boston Celtics (NBA) (1946-1995)
Boston Braves (AHL) (1971-1974)
New England Whalers (WHA) (1972-1974)
Boston Blazers (NLL) (1992-1995)
Capacity 14,448 (ice hockey)
14,890 (basketball)

The Boston Garden was a famous arena built in 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts. Designed by boxing promoter Tex Rickard, who also built the third incarnation of New York's Madison Square Garden, the arena was originally called the "Boston Madison Square Garden", but eventually got clipped to the Boston Garden. Located on top of North Station, a train station, which is a hub for MBTA Commuter Rail and Amtrak trains, the Garden hosted home games for the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics, as well as rock concerts, amateur sports, boxing and wrestling cards, circuses and ice shows. It was also used as an exposition hall for political rallies such as the famous speech by John F. Kennedy in November, 1960. The Boston Garden was demolished in 1998, a few years after the completion of its new successor arena, the FleetCenter, now called TD Banknorth Garden.

Carol, totally understand. The old Chicago Stadium is where I used to watch the Hawks. Much better than the new United Center. The United Center just doesn't have the feel of the old place.

I did get to see a game in the old Checkerdome down in St. Louis and also at the original Maple Leaf Garden. Just never made it to Boston for a game.

I'll think about you while I'm on the Wonder next week. Wish you could fly down.

Have not been to the United Center yet, maybe one day though! I have such fond memories of the Ice Capades and Ice Follies shows when I was a kid and of course Ringling Brothers Barnum n Baily Circus! Then of course the Bruins and Celtics games when I was older. Those were the days , lol...
