Well guys, we are back from Hawaii and Disneyland.

Everyone, put the Westin Kaanapali Villas - Maui on your MUST do list for DVC exchanges. It rates a 10 out of 10. The resort is totally awesome. Location is great too. I took pictures and will post them later this week on the DVC boards along with a trip report. The resort is cleaned and maintained to Disney standards. I was expecting a parking lot view but we got what they termed an ocean view room, but being on the 1st floor it was more like a pool view.

We drove out to Ko'Olina on a day trip to Oahu to see if we could get a peak at the DVC Hawaii resort. The Ko'Olina area is really nice. The road leading to where I think the resort is going has now been blocked to thru traffic and looks like they may have scratched the dirt a little. A construction office is up but no actual construction visable yet.

We also spent a few night on trade at the Disneyland Hotel. It was I would give it an 8 out of 10. We had a great view from 9 floor overlooking the pool. Still like the Grand Californian better and would probably stay there the next time.

I think someone has noted this before - they renamed the hotel towers to Magic, Wonder and Dreams (Hum makes you think) But did they also mention that they renamed the convention center rooms to the Imagination and Fantasy. (gotta name that 4th ship)

Well with that trip over, it is time to focus on the next one - the DVC member cruise.

Off to catch up on reading. anything I need to pay particular attention to?

Robin - welcome back! Got your call the other day but you were breaking up during most of it. We got it at 7 am Sunday as I was turning off my phone for church (you had called the night before). I couldn't return the call then because it would have been 2 am your time and then I totally forgot. Sorry about that! Wanted to get your thoughts on Palo brunch so I'll send you a pm.

Good morning everyone.

Joanne, I am not sure if you have been before, but our favorite things are the Indiana Jones ride in Adventureland and Space Mountain (Far better than the MK one). Our favorite counter service is Red rockets next to Space Mountain. They have great salads for me and pizza/pasta for the boys. If you like roller coasters, you have to ride California Screaming at California Adventure.

Above all, my favorite thing to do it to take a little time and notice all the "extra details" you will find at DL that you don't find at MK. You can just see Walt's hand in it.

Just wanted to take a moment to say good morning to everyone. Work is going to keep me busy the next two months but to know that the cruise will be shortly after that I will survive! I'm going nuts with no details though. I need to know what I have to shop for

Things have been pretty busy for me here at work, one of our assistants decided that she needed some time off, and has called in the last few days! So I have been tossed back into the role of dental assistant! Lets just say things have been coming back to me pretty quick. I havent worked chairside with the Dr for probably 3 years. I work chairside by myself for whitening and oral cancer screening, but thats completely different! We have no patients scheduled until Monday now, because Dr.'s son is graduating 8th grade tomorrow night, so hopefully she decides she can come back on Monday! Today, instead of doing all my work from yeserterday and today to catch up, I am doing all her catch up work, because its more important for the Dr. to have an operatory that is fully stocked, and instruments that are sterile! Hopefully tomorrow I can catch up on all of my back work, otherwise my Saturday off will be spent here doing work(At least I'm not salary, so I will get paid for Sat)! Fun, Fun!!! At least the girls wont have to be here with me, they are going to their dad's Friday and Saturday!

Tim and I have decided to book the three night cruise before the member cruise for the 2 of us...So Tim's dad and grandma will be bring the kids down on Saturday, and meeting us at the port on Sunday!

Today is Tim's birthday, so we went out to breakfast this morning! He has to work until 8:30 tonight, so dinner's out for me, I dont like to eat that late!

I have a message from Dan & Nancy- Their computer has died- so they are out of touch for a while.

Joanne: I'm sorry to hear thatbut I have some suggestions

If the problem isn't too big, and the cpu isn't over 3 yrs old.
I'd suggest they take it to the local their local computer store. A cpu that is over 3 yrs old generally is not worth investing into fixing.

If they have important data that is not backed up: financial info or pictures
If the hard drive still spins they can have the cpu store put in the old hard drive into a new cpu as a 2nd hard drive.

If they don't care about the data: Have them put the hard drive in the freezer and smash the disks with a hammer.
(That should preevent the data from being recovered)

Also this reminds everyone. You should have an external hard drive or an online backup service to backup your data. You never know when things are going to go.

Dan took it to the geek squad at Best Buy. They pretty much told him the same thing. I think he said it was 5 years old and it would cost over $300.00 to fix. So they are removing his files and going to put them on a new computer. Some of you are very good at this computer stuff. It's all greek to me. If it doesn't work right I am sunk.

I'm glad Dan went to Best Buy (I work for them) As for computers, I agree, it' all "geek" to me also. That is why I sell appliances and not computers. I understand those products. I tell customers if they want "hot, cold or clean" then to see me otherwise I am lost. I once told a customer to purchase a TV because it was pretty! My manager to this day still makes fun of me because of that statement.

Let Dan know that the Geek Squad may be able to recover some of their data from their computer.

Too funny about the "pretty" comment. I'm sorry I never made it to a game in Detroit. Back when I was really into hockey my friends and I made it a point to go to home and home series (for example Saturday night in St. Louis and then Sunday night back in Chicago). We made it to St. Louis, Minnesota, and Toronto but never to Detroit. Congrats to the Red Wings.

Isn't the area beautiful? We just got our check for the sale of our Vero points. We'll be keeping that as a down payment on Hawaii when it goes on sale.
