Good morning everyone!

Just got back from our turn doing the Relay for Life for American Cancer Society. It's a hot one here today. Both Amanda and I are a little red from the sun. We both used sun block, but it is from last year's cruise. It might be expired! Have a great Saturday everyone.

Joanne-loved the pictures!

Dan-good to see you back :)

Annette - hope you have some burn gel or after sun lotion to help take the sting out.

Woohoo! :cool1:

I booked my Palo and Spa ressies this morning! We are one step closer....

Wendy

Great news Wendy! Definitely getting closer! What did you book?

Some really nasty storms came through the area last night. We didn't see much of them but there were tornadoes both South and North of us. Tina I know you are South of us - I hope you weren't in the path. Also hope our friends East of here are ok as it was headed your way. How is everyone up in Michigan doing this morning?

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Good morning and Happy Sunday. It's a great day here they say we will hit 90 today and maybe for the next two days. I guess we are getting an early heat wave.
Nancy and I like our new computor. I love the flat screen panal its a lot different than the big old moniter we had. Its a HP Pavillion with a 3 gigs and a 21inch flat screen and new HP photo copier printer. It will be fun to use.
Joan those are geat pictures. I talked to Nancy after we talked on the phone the other day. She said tell Joan to leave us on the first seating.
Nancy said she will give you a jingle soon.
Mary you sent the Sun thanks. As it stand now Mary are we going to have our Meet this year at the same location in the BCV?
You and Mark have a great day along with everybody else.
Nancy and I will be going to our Grandsons high school graduation today so will catch you all later.

Good morning Dan! Yes as it stands now we plan on having the pre-cruise meet at the Beach Club Saturday afternoon and then the on-board DIS meet Sunday afternoon. The on board meet could either be up on deck (where we've had them before) or inside in the Promenade Lounge.

Be careful with that heat. We've had that the last couple of days and it really drains you fast.

Good morning all,

Dan- nice to see you back- that was quick, have fun with your new toy. Enjoy graduation.

Annette good job at the walk, lots of after sun lotion helps.

It's very hot & humid here also. We just spend a lot of time in the pool. Are having a cook out tonight for graduation for the boy next door and a good bye for Patrick heading off for ROTC camp. He spent last night getting t-shirt folding and bed making lessons from Dad. Today is hair cut and a shave.

Have a great Sunday.

I'm doing the Alone Time in the Spa Villa on Day 2 followed by a Foot Treatment and Pedicure. The last time I was in one of the Villas we were at sea. But I think there will still be enough privacy while we're at CC.

I booked Palo for the third night with my friend and her sis. They only had 2 seatings that night 6:30 and 7:00pm, so it looks like there is definitely something going on that evening.

good bye for Patrick heading off for ROTC camp. He spent last night getting t-shirt folding and bed making lessons from Dad. Today is hair cut and a shave.

Don't worry, no matter how well he does it, they'll still tell him he's doing it wrong. It's all part of the "process." :rolleyes1 He needs to remember to keep a good attitude, learn from his mistakes, look for creative ways to get things done, be a team player, look for opportunities to display his leadership skills, and don't let up towards the end of the program. Tell him to stay sharp until the last day - it can make the difference for the end of camp cadet ratings.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!
Wendy

Hello everyone - the storms were very noisey last night - sounded like a bad night out there and a few big downpours so I shut off my sprinklers this morning. They are predicting more of the same today here.

Heading down to WDW with my older grandson and his momma on Tuesday for a few days of fun - guess we'll be used to the heat by the time we get there because it's supposed to be 90 degrees by 1 o'clock today.

Hope everyone is safe with all this crazy weather that's been happening - between tornadoes, floods and all the storms, it's been a crazy summer so far and it's not even officially summer yet!

Last night we had big thunderstorms but nothing too severe.

Both of us used some after sun stuff so that we don't make the red worse.

I can't believe how close we were at vacation. My countdown clock is at 102 days!!!!

I don't think we are booking Palo this trip. But I will have to get back to you on that for sure!

Have a great Sunday everyone :)

Ok Cruisers ...

I have a real cruise question for you. In addition to the member cruise I am going to do the 3 day cruise after it. I was looking at some old itineraries and it listed a Dress Up night. I HATE to dress up Jacket and Tie etc. Do I have to dress up?

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
...Beastly

Bruce I think you'll be fine without jacket and tie. Maybe just a nice dress shirt and pants. I know on our April cruise Mark wore a full suit on Formal night but for semi-formal only wore a dress shirt and tie and I'd say he was int he middle of how people dressed (50% dressed fancier than him and 50% dressed less fancier than him). Especially on a 3 night cruise the feel is much more casual so go and enjoy!

Thanks Mary...

I usually were dockers, a polo and boat shoes.

What about the Palo Brunch ... Probably I need to do a Jacket and Tie for that.

Bruce - nope your dockers, polo and boat shoes will be perfect for Palo brunch. If you were going for dinner I'd say you would be better in at least a tie (with shirt of course) :) but brunch is more casual.

We are taking the DVC Cruise and thinking about our options. We always use private transportation. This year we are thinking about taking Disney. I have a few questions i need answered before it can stop freaking out.

1. What time will it leave BCV?
2. What time will we be at the port?
3. How long will check in take if we are there with the masses?
4. How much time will we have to get are bearings before we have to muster?
5. What time will it leave the port to return to Disney?
6. Does it return you to a different hotel. We are staying at AKV on the return trip.
7. What do we do with our luggage, do we have to take it to bell service the night before we sail or put it in storage if we dont get picked up until after check out.

Good morning everyone - happy Monday! Hope everyone has stayed safe from the storms rolling through the Midwest.

Amanda let me see if I can help with your questions.

We are taking the DVC Cruise and thinking about our options. We always use private transportation. This year we are thinking about taking Disney. I have a few questions i need answered before it can stop freaking out.

1. What time will it leave BCV? I believe the buses usually leave the resorts about 11 am or so. Not sure of the specific time for Beach Club.
2. What time will we be at the port? It takes about an hour to get to the port so if you leave at 11 you should be at the port about noon.
3. How long will check in take if we are there with the masses? Check in will depend and how many people are arriving at the exact same time as you. I would think you'd get through the line in no more than 15 minutes or so.
4. How much time will we have to get are bearings before we have to muster? The muster drill is at 4 pm so you should have plenty of time. You guys know your way around the ship. Hmmm so are these your questions or someone elses.
5. What time will it leave the port to return to Disney? The buses back to Disney leave as soon as they are filled up. So if the ship gets cleared at say 7:45 I would think the first bus back would be around 8 am.
6. Does it return you to a different hotel. We are staying at AKV on the return trip. Yes, you can return to a different hotel. Tell the porter where you are headed and he'll get you to the right bus.
7. What do we do with our luggage, do we have to take it to bell service the night before we sail or put it in storage if we dont get picked up until after check out. Best answered by guest services but I believe you leave it in your room and they collect it the morning you sail. The hotels are used to this so I'm sure you'll get an answer from them.

Good morning,

I am going in late today, I have to take Patrick to the Airport:(

I have to show DH how to make our Palo reservation, I will be out of town and I sure don't want to miss out on brunch.

Have a great Monday.

Another warm day but we love it.
Don't worry Joan I think Rog can get the job done. I think it's next week we do our Parlo resivations?
I hope everybody had a great weekend.I know ours was busy with the grandsons graduation.
Everybodyhave a great day

We are not quite that far south, but we did have our tornado sirens going off for about 30 mins Friday night! Alot of wind and rain, but we fared well otherwise...Thanks for checking!

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday!

Tina glad to hear you are safe.

Some very nasty news from up in Wisconsin. Don't know how many of you have ever been up to the Dells but with all the rain etc. one of the banks of Lake Delton broke and sent the water down to the river. I saw on the news one persons dream home just break away and into the water. Very sad. Lake Delton home to the Tommy Bartlet Water Show is dry.

Good morning everybody. As I set here in the den there is a nice breeze but the weather man says were due for another hot one.
Mary isn't it next week we can call the cruise lines for Parlo's ?
I hope its not to hot in Chi town today.
Joan when is your trip to the West Coast I know it mut be soon?
Nancy is teaching tody so she has left me a honey do list. Tomorrow I go back to work. Only two more weeks and it will be over until next summer. Boy 6 weeks have flown by
Everybody have a great day and stay cool.
