OK, so I just found out that AAA is running special 'Disney Days' starting this Saturday, Oct. 4th. If I wait until Saturday to book, I get an additional $100 onboard credit! :yay: That's a lot of Konk Koolers! :drinking1

Soooo, I'm definitely going on the 10/24/09 cruise :cool1: but I'm going to wait until Saturday to book :yay: :yay: :yay: I'm looking to book at Cat 7 across the hall from Dan & Nancy and Joanne & Roger.:woohoo: (A wise woman I know once said 'Have verandah, will cruise' :worship: )

Now we need to convince the Tikis...:chat:

 Hi All! We finally made it home late last night. It was sooooooooo nice to sleep in our own bed. :cloud9: There's no place like home.

:thumbsup2 I saw a few DIS signs on stateroom doors. However, we weren't part of any "official" DISmeet. I spoke with so many people onboard, maybe it was some of you?

:dancer: Did you see the crazy man dancing on stage in the DISgreen shirt at the Sail Away Party? That was my DH. He was sober! :rotfl: We had a great cruise. Too short, but great. We saw the Hughes family everywhere. They were always very friendly. We were a few doors down from the Roy Suite. It seemed like every evening when we walked by they were having a party.

:wizard: Highlight of our trip . . . Dinner at Palo. DS3 was NOT cooperating the whole cruise and would not stay in Flounder's. :sad2: We never made it to Serenity Bay. There's always next time. The Oceaneer's Club let DS3 stay in there with DD6 during our dinner at Palo. :thumbsup2 He did great! Wish we had done it sooner. DH and I had a nice quiet sunset dinner at Palo. Our server was fantastic. I think her name was Grace. The calamari and pizza were yummy appetizers. I had the lobster ravioli as my main course and DH ordered something not on the menu, Spaghetti Capone. They use to serve it at Palo on the Wonder. The chef was more than happy to make it for DH. Of course for dessert, we had chocolate souffle'. Grace also brought the gelato and panacotta for us to try. It was all VERY yummy! I even had a chocolate souffle to go. We were given two really nice DVC wine glasses to take home. Sadly, DD6 and I did not feel very well later that night (the last night). I took a Bonine during the Palo dinner, but it was NOT working. So, I laid down after dinner and never got to eat the other souffle'. I didn't want anything more to eat.

We only ate in the main dining room two nights (We had TAAP rotation.). We ate at Triton's (yummy!) and at Animator's Palate (okay :guilty: ) the third night for the light show. We honestly aren't fond of the food on Pirate Night or at Parrot Cay for dinner. There's no shortage of food on a cruise. So trust me, we didn't starve. ;) Also, we weren't impressed with our serving team. Our server was "okay", but her assistant had absolutely no personality. I honestly don't think she even spoke to us once. It was really weird. We've been on other cruises. So, we know the service can be better. Maybe, it was because they already had the tips? Our room attendant was great. :thumbsup2 We did tip him extra.

:woohoo: I finally got to see the movie WALL-E. DH had taken DS8 and DD6 to see it at the movie theatre when it first came out. But, I hadn't seen it yet. What a cute movie! :thumbsup2 That is definitely one to buy on DVD. Also, we saw the Toy Story musical. The man that played Woody was great. Having three children, we have watched both Toy Story movies numerous times. So, it was fun to see it on the stage and know all the words. I wanted to see the Broadway show, but I would've had to sit by myself. DH isn't into musicals like those, I was lucky to get him to Toy Story. I heard the ladies were wonderful. I did one of the session with Don "Ducky" Williams on how to draw Mickey Mouse. I was very proud of my masterpiece. It actually looked like Mickey. I didn't win one of the sketches raffled off at the end. But, I did get a birthday card signed for DD6 (her birthday was on our At Sea day).

We visited SSR before embarkation and checked out the models for Bay Lake Tower. They are very nice and modern. The location is VERY ideal being that close to MK. However, we opted not too add-on there. The offer onboard just didn't "Wow!" us. We had hoped for better incentives. So, we'll just have to hope that in ten years the newness wears off and we'll be able to get in there. ;)

:) Somehow, I got everything home unbroken and our bags weren't over-weight.

I'm glad everyone made it home safely. :goodvibes

See you are one step ahead of me. Sadly even though I was checking we really can't go. We do love the Cat 7's and hope you enjoy it as well. I know you will all have a great time and that seems like a really great group!

Actually, Mary, that was going to be my next question: were you checking because you thought you might be able to go? :scratchin If so, there are a number of Cat 7 rooms available...

It would be even more fun if you and Mark came along. :yay:

We will be shooting for the Member Cruise in 2010.:sail:

Jeez, Pixie, you still seem to be able to hit those "00" posts! :rotfl:

Hahahaha - I didn't even realize. I can enjoy it even without the promise of a car! Our pirate duck is in our shower, by the way! It makes me smile early in the morning!!!!!

I toyed with the idea for a split second, but we really can't. We want to do the '09 Member Cruise and we have plans to go down to the parks in May to visit friends. That's all the vacation we can afford. :sad2:

Well it's a rainy day here in the State of Maine. Oh to be in FLA:rotfl:.
On the way home last week Nancy and I noticed how the leaves had changed already. What a difference 12 days make.
Nancy and I will be heading for upstate Mass for a wedding. He the son of the friends we vacation with in the summer here in Maine. We have know him since he was about 10.
It's the first of the month so it's shopping day for us retired folks.
I hope everbody has a great day and Joan and Roger I hope the colds are better.
