09/21/08 SSMC08 S.S. Member Cruise 2008 - Part 3!

Both are great though. I think we just have more in common with the DVC'ers. 2008 has to be my favorite group, but I prefer the 7 days to relax and be a tourist.

Agreed. So, of course, we have to do both!!!! Guess what everybody - JoanneL and Ehagerty are both going on the May 23 Magic. Spotted her on that thread's disboard meet.

I reboooked while onboard, before I knew about the October bash - wouldn't have changed things though, as we this is our family thing and we needed to optimize price and schedule around 2 college-age sons.

In any case, maybe we'll get to "gel" in a "mini-DVC" mode somehow - although without Mark & Mary's organization and and the enthusiasm of all the others - and particularly, the blessing of having Fr Frank with us for Mass and good cheer - it won't be the same!!

Well, Dan - winter in Buffalo is winter in Buffalo. This winter was not particularly exceptional in any way - no "several inches of wet snow on fully leafed branches" - October 13, 2006 pruning thousands of trees - many at trunk level

and just when you didn't think there could be any more branches or trees snapping, a bad windstorm, followed a couple of months later by an ice storm that continued to drop branches

Well, we had NONE of that this year. Not even any snow days.

So, I'd say "pretty good" this year. And it is over.

Yes, it would be great to have an 08 reunion tour!

I am just emerging from the busy-ness of Holy Week. All went very well, particularly the music with our new, incredible music director. With Kathy and my parents here in CT for Easter Sunday, it was a great day.

I got a call last week from DVC that they are sending out the Mickey big figs that people adding on on the Member Cruise are getting. I am expecting it sometime this week or early next. I will let you know. I am pretty excited about it, but have no idea where I am going to put it. Leisha, did you hear from them too?

Ellen, so good to hear from you. I am hoping along with Kathy that we all might be able to reconnect on the Disney Dream in 2011.

I am counting the days until my next trip in October (192) and seeing some of you on the day you get back from the cruise!

I am glad things went well last week. Tell Kathy Hi! I miss hearing from her every day. I got a call on Monday about ours. I can not wait to see Mickey. I have a spot all ready for him. Tommy and I have been talking about doing the repositioning cruise for the Wonder in 2011. It should be in Jan or Feb which will work great for Tommy. We will miss you all on the cruise but look forward to seeing you for a little while on that Sat. You and Kathy decide where we will meet for lunch that day. Take care

Hi Member Cruisers! Just thought I would pop in and ask if anyone else who added on the last cruise was surprised at how "HUGE" the Mickey statue is?!? At least it looks much bigger in my house than it did on the ship. The family really likes but now to find it just the right place here.
