Sounds like all you girls have the same idea. Nancy has hers already packed and left out some for our flight.
As our oldest son says if Mom's jello moves she will get queezy:rotfl::rotfl:.
Sometimes im bothered.
We will catch you all later were on our way to our oldest grandsons first football game as a freshman at Husson Univ.
When we get back hockey starts and football to so Nana and Grampa will be busy.

So, I showed Mack the video, and the first thing out of his mouth, "Sweetheart! Cool, they have a wave pool!" I'm telling you we're both very "Pollyanna-ish" in our attitudes - beware. Seriously, I can't believe they didn't drain it. We've seen one drained, and it only takes a few minutes. Refilling is not that big a deal either - or are Disney ship pools not salt water? Of course with all the desalinization machinery on board, that may not make a difference either.

I will be going to get some Bonine. I try to take one each night before I go bed, and it has always worked that way for me. I do hope the weather cooperates.

Have a great day, everyone. I am off to look at the port cam!

Is this sailing a little less formal; will jeans and a nice top be OK for dinner or do I need to wear a dress? No Palo for us.

I never thought to take it before bed, great idea!!!
The pools on DCL are freshwater, not saltwater.

We are doing Palo, so I will bring a dress for that. We dont do jeans, but capris and a nice top or a skirt. That is just me though. DH usually wears dockers and a tropical shirt! :cutie: Nothing formal at all.

Glad you like it. I thought it would be nice to end with a maritime prayer and I must admit I picked that one for two reasons a) it mentions the Irish and 2) it fit in the space I had left. :)

I'm so thankful that he has offered to do this for us. I can't think of a more special way to start off the cruise than to celebrate Mass with my DIS family.

Maybe it wouldn't hurt to start saying St. Brendan's prayer now? ;) He might be able to put in a good word for us and get us some nice, calm seas! :boat:

Welcome back Wendy! Documents have just started arriving. Those in FL have gotten them as have Mack/Mimi in GA. The rest of us are still waiting but should get them early this week.

Thanks Mary!

Okay gang! Well I'm back from my Five night "Magic"al Mystery Cruise! Had a great time on the Magic. Captain Tom and Captain Thord did an absolutely incredible job of keeping us away from the storm, although we did see rocky seas! As I'm sure many of you have seen the "wave pool" on deck 9. However, on the transatlantic crossing last year, the waves ended up 10 to 15 feet flying in the air. Now that was awesome!

I was in stateroom 6500, very first stateroom on deck 6 forward. It was definitely rocky, but I took bonine and never got sick. Slept well.

Now I am doing laundry, have just finished unpacking and as my clothes get done I am just repacking the cruise stuff so it is ready when I leave in 13 days for the member cruise!

Clayton (aka Hollywood) was on board the Magic. He boarded last Monday and is on the Magic for 14 days to train the new cruise staff. He will be back to the Wonder for the Member Cruise. He said he didn't know what DVC had in store for us, but said he loves that cruise and he can't wait to see all the repeaters that go on the cruise each year.

DVC said there is a lot in store, but I couldn't get ANY DETAILS out of anyone. George (that used to cruise often, but now works in Downtown Disney) will be on the cruise. I talked to him at his booth while making a quick trip over to Earl of Sandwich. He is looking forward to cruising again.

We had 4 new DVC cast members on board with us on the 5 night cruise. I had not cruised with them before. My cabinmate Karen, won the $300 on board credit in the DVC meeting!

Okay, lots of work to do.

Can't wait to cruise with everyone two weeks from today!

Welcome back Linda!

Great news about Clayton - we adore him!

Sorry you couldn't find out more info. This group likes to keep things close to the vest more than the '05 team. ;)

Welcome back Linda!

I wish they would let us in on SOMETHING! The website is so vague!!!! I hate vague! LOL!!!:goodvibes

2 weeks from now we will be onboard!!!!:cool1:  :woohoo:

Yes, one of my co-workers is married to an English woman and he brings the 'real' Cadbury back whenever he visits. But I didn't know you could buy the 'real' Cadbury in EPCOT. Maybe Mary should make that the next Tip of the Day! :rotfl2: Thanks for sharing!

:woohoo: We have a local store called British Emporium. The have all sorts of "real" Cadbury chocolates, crisps and other edible and non-edible British items. Check your local areas if you want the "real" thing. You may have a store like this near you too. Also, the internet is a great source for ANYTHING. DH bought me some Bounty and Curly Wurly online in the past, before we found the local store. So, all those yummy British treats may be closer than you think. ;) We DO pop into the Twinings tea shop at the UK Pavilion too. :thumbsup2

Okay gang! Well I'm back from my Five night "Magic"al Mystery Cruise!

:goodvibes We were suppose to be on that 5-Night Cruise too. But, moved that reservation to a 7-Night Western Caribbean for next December. Being new DVC Members, we wanted to try this cruise. Sorry you had such rough seas. I hope things calm down by the time we sail. :scared: We had VERY rough seas during our Eastern Caribbean last December. They closed the pools during one of our At Sea days because of the "wave pools". We have it on video somewhere. It reminded me of the Youtube videos I saw of the TransAtlantic crossing. :headache:

:thumbsup2 Bonine is #1 on my packing list!

Yes British Cadbury can usually be found locally. Check out any Irish or English import stores. We have a couple in our area we can get them from. It is just a little extra treat for us to pick some up at Epcot. Nothing like keeping some Cadbury back in the villa for a snack. :) Of course we'll be picking up some before the cruise as well.

Would I be out of place in jeans and a fancy shirt? Since we are going to be away for more than just the cruise, I want to pack light with things I can wear in WDW as well. The jeans and tops I can recycle for our dinners (we are doing all sit down) while in the park. I don't want to have to bring a garment bag, if at all possible, since I must account for an extra bag of swag on the way back.

We are staying in a studio OKW after the cruise-will it have a washer & dryer? And does Disney supply Tide & Downy? Tyring to pack light with recyclable items.

I've never stayed in a studio at OKW but I don't believe any of the DVC studios have W&D's.

Wow, thanks for all the chocolate location information!!! Sounds like we have a lot of chocoholics on this cruise, which is always a good thing. (I remember reading that the reason there are no support groups for chocoholics is that no one wants to quit!)

I am also a BIG Twinings tea fan (their Earl Grey is my FAVORITE!).

Also try Wegman's-they might have the real deal, just look at the label. Twinings is good; Rooibus is my FAVORITE. I also love a company called the Republic of Tea.

Two weeks and this will be us:

Jeans area allowed in the dining room but you won't see a lot of people wearing them. For us they are a little too heavy for a cruise. I usually wear nice slacks and Mark wears dockers.

Studios do not have washers and dryers. I believe at OKW they are out by the pool. That is why we have a one bedroom booked for after the cruise. So I can do some laundry and come home with clean clothes.
