I totally believe she will get caught up. I see it all the time!! A LOT of my kids are mainstreamed for certain subjects and a few move on to the General Education classrooms full time. We do a pretty good job in my district. We have a real close team of specialists and meet with the parents quite often. My ultimate goal is to get every child near grade level, and a lot of them do. We work very hard in my class. I have 11 students. I love what I do, but it can get difficult. I wish your daughter luck. If you ever have any questions or anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Kelly - thank you for the encouraging info! I know things get difficult with just my daughter, I couldn't imagine having 11 kids similar to her in one room! I have many friends and family members that are teachers and I KNOW their jobs are not easy like a lot of people think. And I know teaching special ed/special needs has got to be a million times more difficult, but at the same time probably a million times more rewarding!! I just might be PM'ing you with some questions.
