Good morning!!!! We are one week closer to September!!! I have to find something to be excited about this morning since my house is COLD! The furnace stopped working sometime last night and we woke up to a 60 degree house. BURRRRR!!!! Sometimes I wish we were renters so we could just call the landlord when stuff like this happens!

Good Morning All!!! Debbie and I are full fledged travel agents now!! We are starting a new chapter in our lives that hopefully will lead us to a life lived in Florida. I can see it now, the bright sun, clean Florida air (no more breathing in steal mill pollution), no more plowing snow in blizzards!!!, and wearing shorts and tee shirts almost year round. Wally and Terrie sure do live the life I dream about! Can't wait!! Now that we are travel agents it feels that we are a few steps closer to that becoming a reality.

Oh. I also fixed the furnace so we now have heat! Deb has it set at 74 cause she's so cold. Love having $300 energy bills

Congrats on the new career and good luck in the new chapter of life and also in getting to Florida. Living in southeast Texas lets us wear shorts, tee shirts and there is no snow to shovel. It is nice indeed

Thanks!! It's actually in my name but Junior is building a website for it and we're doing it as a "Team".

I've rented out my DVC points on several occasions and it is so exciting to book the room for people knowing that they're going on such a "Magical" vacation. I love answering questions that people have and giving them advice from our experiences to help them get more out of their time and money at WDW. So, this just seemed logical to do. It should be fun and rewarding.

Congrats! I've thought about becoming a TA very often, but I've no idea how to get started. I've had friends of friends email or call me for Disney advice. I love talking Disney, but being able to pull a paycheck from talking Disney would be even better.

Just a word of energy bill caution since you're thinking about living in Florida: Our energy bill averages well over $300 a month in Orlando - and we keep the heat set at 68-69 in the winter and the a/c at 80-81 in the summer!

Just a word of energy bill caution since you're thinking about living in Florida: Our energy bill averages well over $300 a month in Orlando - and we keep the heat set at 68-69 in the winter and the a/c at 80-81 in the summer!

We pay $150/mo total for our electric and natural gas bills. I forgot how much air conditioning costs to run.

So, we never heard, did your daughter's offer get accepted?

Thanks for asking, the answer is no. It was a foreclosure so we had to wait until all the bids were in. They were disappointed but I told them not to give up. Unfortunately sometimes the sales don't go through so the bank still has their info. Also sometimes this means a better house will come up! Just have to keep positive

Aww..that's too bad. But tell them not to give up hope. Everything happens for a reason. When we were looking for a house about 5-6 years ago, I found one that I absolutely LOVED. We weren't quite ready to put an offer on it and a few weeks later it was off the market. Fast forward a couple of months when we were ready to seriously look and put an offer on a house, that house was back on the market! We've lived in it now for almost 5 years! It's definitely a buyers market right now, so I'm sure they will find something else. OR....maybe the deal will fall through on offer that got accepted. The lending guidelines are tightening up and changing almost every day, so a lot of people who used to qualify for a mortgage don't qualify anymore. Sending her way!!!
