The lil peanut is doing just fine. She got her bandages off today, however, she did not like the look of her stitches. She kind of freaked out. It does look pretty nasty, if you ask me. Oh well. How are you guys doing??
Glad to hear that she is okay, even if she doesn't like the look of them. Tell her that it will make for a great story! She can make one (very wild) story up! She can use that amazing imagination for that. When are you at WDW in January?

Dan, I hope you are home and not texting and driving again. I can just hear "it's a small world" playing in the background too...

I can't believe he was so calm while getting stitches in his forehead. The shots they give to numb before they stitch HURT SOOOOOOOOO BAD!!!! My accident was about 20 years ago, and I can still remember the stinging pain and it makes me cringe! He's lucky...he probably doesn't remember that pain. I wish I didn't. OMG....it was awful!

How does his scar look now? I've heard that scars on the foreheads (of little kids) tend to move up towards their hairline as they get older.

Ouch!! Sorry you had to go through that! They had us dab something on a cotton ball onto the wound at first. That helped numb up the area before they gave him the shot. They were great with him too. The nurse came in and said to him, "I'm going to show mommy how to make it feel better and then she'll take care of it." He just rolled with it.

Actually, about 7 years ago, a friend hit him in the head (accidentally) with a hockey stick right over the scar. It gave him a nice little abrasion over where the scar was. When that healed up you could barely see scar. It's not really noticeable now unless you are really looking for it. I can't really say that the scar moved upwards. He's got a big noggin though. :rotfl2:

My DH's former coworker had a very prominent facial scar. He used to make up all sorts of stories to tell. Most of them involving a knife fight or a broken bottle in a bar fight. The actual tale was much more embarrassing. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

My sister-in-law has made up a few to tell people who ask her about the scars on her face that she has from her near fatal car wreck. Most people don't notice and the one's who do usually don't ask. But if someone does, she's got some tall tales. My favorite is waking up "to find a nest of spiders had used her face as their first meal". :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Can any experienced disney cruisers tell me, do they have candy of any type available at the buffets or beverage areas or would one need to go to one of the stores to purchase it? What about chips or doritos? Are there Grand Marnier slushies or frozen spiked lemonade available at the bar? If I wanted pineapple juice, would it be adviseable to purchase it and bring it on-board? Thanks for the input.

Stalking the wild Grand Marnier slushee ... Hmmm sounds like a fun game ... somehow I'm thinking that is NOT a regular menu flavor at 7-11! :rotfl:

No candy at the buffets, but just outside the Walt Disney Theater there is a little snack shop. There is also candy in Mickeys Mates. And if you participate in the Fish Extender Exchange you will most likely get candy. (That is not meant to be a hint of what I plan on giving out, it's just from past experience...last Members Cruise we got lots of candy!)

Here's a drink menu from CC
