HI , SORRY WE DONT HAVE A FACEBOOK PAGE YET. I DONT USE FACEBOOK SO IT WONT BE ME TO START IT. ONLY 5 MONTHS TO GO WHERE IS EVERYONE. I NOTICED THERE ARE ALMOST 1500 VIEWS OF THIS THREAD, I HOPE SOME OF THOSE ARE CRUISERS WHO WILL BE POSTING ON THE THREAD

HI, thiought I'd check back in. We are gold so we can book Palo etc on June 3. Still a way off. So far, I have managed to keep the cruise a secret since I am going to suprise my husband. I am thinking that I will tell him I want to go to the Kennedy Space Center and then pull up to the port! But, the trick is, how do I get him to pack the right clothes if he thinks we're just doing an overnight trip?

laura and i probably arent going to use disney transportation this year to get to and from ship. Im just putting the word out if anyone else who might be staying on property might want to split transportation to port and back. Either rental or limo service. Let me know. We are going to try to get in okw again.

Hi everyone, thanks to milliepie on the cruise graphics thread we now have a logo for our member cruise. However, not having computer smarts I do not know how to resize it to a smaller size. Feel free to copy it for your signature and if anyone knows how to resize it, it would be great.

Ian, great news for you! Were staying the night before at the hyatt in the airport. And then 3 nights at BCV after. We did this on the 2010 cruise and it worked out well. Because of all the trinkets they gave us, we went to the BC convention center and mailed them home. I didn't want to lug it on the plane.

Very cute logo! We are staying at BLT 2 nights before the cruise. I had not thought about how to get out to the port for the cruise... How much does Disney charge to bus you out there? I guess we could drive back to the airport, drop off the car and catch a Disney bus to the airport?? Do they charge the same from a WDW resort to the port as they charge from the airport to the port?

Also, if we are just going to fly home after the cruise, what is a good flight time to book?

ITS THE SAME PRICE FROM BOTH PLACES. FOR A ROUND TRIP ITS $70 EACH. LAURA AND I HAVENT MADE UP OUR MIND YET. WE HAVE USED THERE TRANSPORTATION A LOT BUT SOMETIMES WE BOOK A RENTAL FOR THE DAY DROP IT OFF AT WHERE EVER THAT RENTAL COMPANY HAS THERE OFFICE IN PORT CANAVERAL. THEN RENT A CAR TO GET US BACK TO THE RESORT AT DISNEY AND DROP VEHICLE OFF WHERE EVER THE OFFICE IS NEAR DISNEY. THEY WILL SHUTTLE US OVER TO SHIP AT THE PORT AND BACK TO OUR RESORT BACK AT WDW. SOUNDS LIKE YOU MIGHT BE DOING THE SAME. WHEN WE FLY IN TO ORLANDO, WE WILL HAVE ARRANGED TO RENT A CAR FROM THE AIRPORT DRIVE TO WDW RESORT, THE NEXT DAY DRIVE TO PORT CANAVERAL (just over an hour from WDW) DROP CAR OFF. AS LONG AS YOU DROP CAR OFF BEFORE THE 24 HOURS FROM THE TIME YOU RENTED IT THEY ONLY CHARGE YOU FOR 1 DAY.

in dec when we are cruising with 7 of us we are renting a limo service for $280 for both ways. Thats cheaper than paying for disney transportation for all 7 of us.

but if you use the disney buses, if something happens on the way to the port you will be guaranteed to get to the ship. Weve done it both ways.

Thanks for the input. We will be in Orlando for 14 days, 10 days before the cruise and then flying home on that Thursday after the cruise. My husband has a conference for part of that time and will need to commute to the Florida Mall. We might wind up with a car for the whole time since on the weekly rate you get 7 days for the price of 5...

Back to flights.... What is a good safe time to book flights out of Orlando on the Thursday the cruise returns? What time do you usually wind up getting off the ship?

I am watching flights to Orlando, but Southwest has stubbornly kept their fares high. I am thinking that since they bought AirTran, the days of low fares from Baltimore to Orlando may be over....

We are on late dining so we go for late breakfast on thur morn. I cant give you an exact time but I can say when we have gone back to WDW after the cruise by Disney transportation we have arrived before noon at OKW. I imagine its the same for the airport. I wouldnt book flight before noon.

Thanks! I think we have late dining too, but did not think that was related to breakfast times.. I am thinking about a 2:30PM flight, so should be no problem...

Late dining you get to sleep in an hour later if you want If you have early flight then I guess you have to get off earlier. If you want breakfast in the Diningroom you go to the dining room you had dinner in the night before. Sit at the same table and have same wait staff. Its nice to say goodbye to everyone. We have always had great wait staff!!!!!!!! We always are sad to leave them and our tablemates.
