ian, what happened to the flying dutchman? Have there been other changes and improvements to cc since 2010?

hi norm, i was told the flying dutchman wasnt fairing to well in the weather. We were there in sept just after irene went thru, i would imagine it wouldnt have survived that. The cabanas are being used now. They have a new sign telling you the route hurricane irene took. I cant remember anything else. We finally saw the islands black cat.

Hi Ian its Michelle hope you both are well and had a great trip. Mark and I, Lauryn and Dave will be sailing in just 5 weeks aboard the Maiden Voyage of the Disney Fantasy. Mark and I are planning to drive to New York to see the ship come in on Tue. Feb. 28. Hope we do FE for this Sept. Members Cruise like last year. We are involved in FE for Disney Fantasy approx. 65 cabins should be fun.

hi michelle, i wish we were joining you on the fantasys first cruise in march. Cant wait to do the member cruise again in sept. Once this thread gets going i will run an fe unless someone else wants to. This cruise isnt sold out yet. Hi Ian we will be Platnum this cruise are you Platnum or Gold? And when can Palo be booked? Will let you know how it goes in New York on Tue when the ship comes into port. I am sur you will be watching via Live Broadcast or Web cam. Michelle

hi michelle. We turn platinum after our dec cruise. Once you turn platinum you can book 120 days out.

This cruise isnt sold out yet. I called yesterday to find out when i could book palo etc. We did the brunch in dec and dinner and want to do it again.

I was just wondering what they may so with the cabins that are not booked yet on both cruises. Since there isn't any precedent for two member cruises, I was wondering if they would open up both cruises to members. Not sure if I would want to go in January but it's fun to speculate.
Any thoughts?

Hi Ian, went to New York and Mark and I saw the Fantasy come into the Pier today. It was great. Glad we took the trip.

im hoping if they dont fill it that they move people up catergories to open the lower catergories to get more people on board filling up the lesser priced cabins right now we are on deck 2 and would move up a catergory or 2 if they offered. I think right now we are near enchanted gardens.

Ian, is this something they do? I have heard on the boards of upgrades. That would be nice. It would make sense to fill the ship.

Do you or any fellow cruisers now if there is somewhere on the boards where we can get get the member cruise 2012 for our signature? I would also like a 2010 if I could get one?

I FORGET WHERE I GOT MINE, I WILL CHECK, I WANT TO ADD 2012 ALSO. IM KIND OF TECHNICALLY CHALLENGED WE HAVE SAILED ON CELEBRITY AND GOT BUMPED UP. THE CRUISE WASNT FULL. THEY NEEDED SOME LOWER CATERGORY CABINS SO WE GOT BUMPED TO A VERANDA FROM OUTSIDE. WE HAVE BEEN ON DISNEY GTY AND NOT KNOWN OUR CABIN. IT WAS KIND OF SIMILIAR. IF THEY NEEDED OUR CATERGORY THEY WOULD BUMP US UP A CATERGORY. HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE WILL HELP ANSWER.

Great article on Bill Farmer in Disney Files. Just got my copy today. He says that he's been on 3 cruises and especially enjoys performing for Vacation Club Members. It must be special for you since you met him in person on the 2010 member cruise. I some how missed him. I was so overwhelmed with things going on that we missed a lot. I'm hoping this cruise that we slow down an take in all that the 2012 member cruise has to offer.

Ian, talk about magical moments that must have been a thrill for you. I am glad you had a great experience.
Just to let you know I went on the January, 2013 Member Cruise thread and asked if someone could help us get a logo for our signatures. If someone will help us I will surely let you know.
That thread is going strong they have a website, facebook page,etc.
Like you said I hope as we get closer to the cruise this thread takes off as well.

Ian, Just found out how to copy the Member Cruise logo into your signature. Wow! didn't realize it places it in all your previous post as well. Still looking for a 2012 logo. I will let you know if I find one. Norm
