Saving Money on Manicures

Hoping for some tips and information about long-lasting DIY manicures that don’t involve using a light to cure nail polish. While I love the look and durability of gel nails from a salon, I’m trying to save money by not paying salon prices. I’ve also noticed some some spots starting to appear on the back of my hands since starting on the gel nail cycle. Can anyone recommend DIY nail polish/treatments that are long-lasting, durable, and look great? Thanks in advance for any tips/suggestions.

Dazzle Dry - wears like a gel, but applies and removes like regular nail polish. You have to use the whole system. They sell mini-kits so you can try them out before buying full-size products.
