Welcome home!!!! It sounds like you had a great time. I bet it's hard to leave the ship after having all that fun. At least you only have three more months until your next cruise.

As for information, I know which nights were formal, etc. because another Diser did a "live from" thread, but I can't wait to see the Navigators to get the daily schedules. I know that you need time to settle in, but please get them posted as soon as possible. My big question is did you have a chance to eat dinner at Topsiders? If so, can you order from the regular dinning room menus at Topsiders? The live poster said that Topsiders did have the same menus. The closer the cruise gets the more it looks like my DD will be taking most of her meals there and I would like for her to get to try some of the things offered in the dinning rooms.

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Costa Maya. The trip reports I have read on this board are all negative. I had decided to not even get off the ship there. Tell us all about your day.

Again, welcome home and back to the thread!

of course I know nothing and am counting on you to keep me up to speed. shirts?? pins?? I feel like such a baby mouse

Welcome home. I know how sad it is to leave the ship. It is always such a great time.

Did you do any excursions in Cozmel? Did you hear anything about excursions done in Cozmel. I want to do some water/beach/snorkle type excursions.

Did you do Palo's? If so what night do you suggest?

Again welcome home and have fun doing all that laundry. We only have three months to go.......... :cool1:

I have to say I did not like the new Navigators! Everything is crammed onto one page, where as before there was at least a 2 page flier and then the one for the kids, now it is on just one page..it certainly took some getting used to...

We got off the ship and got into a taxi and headed to Mahahaul....it was $3 pp to get there and no fee to use the beach or chairs, only that you get something from the restaurants etc etc...none of the kids wanted to get off the ship this day, so Steve and I went off by ourselves...I am sure that had something to do with why we enjoyed ourselves....we had a great waiter who pulled up a table and lounge chairs right into the water for us! It was great. I had 4 huge magaritas! And my DH had 4 beers, also chips and salsa and fresh guacamole all for only $42!! Then there were lovely peopl out offerng massages for cheap! A 45 min massage for $20! At first I was not going to do it, but after about 2 ritas I was all for it! It was heavenly and I cant wait to get it done again! Where else can you get a 45 min massage for $20! I tipped the lady $10 and it was worth every penny! Amanda you must hang with us at Mahahaul!! And anyone else who wants to! It was so relaxing! Oh yeah it was only $2 pp to get back....all in all I really enjoyed myself. The salt water pool at the port was pretty neat too a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but if I wanted a pool I would have stayed on board in a non salt water pool and hung out at queit cove..

Again, welcome home and back to the thread!

Again thank you for the welcome back

Yes sad sad sad!:guilty:
Did you do any excursions in Cozmel?
We took a taxi and went to Paradise beach with the kids..it cost us $15 to get there, all 6 of us squished in a cab...then it cost $20 to get back...They did that to us last time too! Charged more to get back than to get there. PAradise beach was fun. It had 2 water trampolines and a rock climbing wall/slide, kayaks and snorkels..all for only $8 pp you could use everything. We definitley enjoyed ourselves here too.

Did you hear anything about excursions done in Cozmel. I want to do some water/beach/snorkle type excursions.
I did not hear much about other excursions. Most of our double scoop group went to Paradise Island. Back in 2003 my family did the dolphin Swim at Channkanaab and ti was worth every single penny. It was not open yet, but our taxi driver said they were hoping for reopening in July...

Did you do Palo's? If so what night do you suggest?
We did do Palo, only we had to take waht was available, and it was Weds night 6 pm. We had late dinner. This was also Coz night, and we had to rush back to the ship in order to make it, and we were still late. I even went there with wet hair! SIGH....It was also Pirate night.... Personally I suggest brunch over dinner! But unf we couldnt get brunch ressies as they are only 2 sea days..

Again welcome home and have fun doing all that laundry. We only have three months to go.......... :cool1:

THanks for the welocome homes

PS Gail
I almost forget about your topsoders question. I am sorry I never made it up there during dinner time but the navigators list the dinner menu features..ie captains gala, then at the bpttem it says "dinner at Topsider will offer table service from the " Casual Dining" menu...

Hi everyone! If anyone wants more info on Costa Maya I would suggest checking out the cruisecritic message boards. (sorry, I don't know how to post a link but it is easy to do a search) There are many good reviews of Costa Maya and some very good info there. Many people on those boards say that Costa Maya was one of the best days they ever spent on a cruise. We were there last year but just walked around the port area. This time we will venture to a beach.

Hello from our family - we will be joining you on the "double dip"!

This is our 3rd disney cruise (2nd with our kids), we did a September Eastern Cruise in 05 that became a Western Cruise including Costa Maya due to a hurricane. We loved Costa Maya, and visited the Chaccoben ruins (take some bug spray!) and had an overall great time.

Our two boys are ages 6 (Adam) and 3 (Andrew), so this time Andrew gets to spend time in the Oceaneer's club - he's really excited. Adam told me I had to say that he really likes the pyramids at Chaccoben. :)

We are also bringing two of the grandparents along for the fun. Now they get to experience dressing like pirates and other DCL fun. pirate:

I didnt read all 100+ pages of the thread, but looks like lots of interesting people are going to be on the cruise - looking forward to meeting everyone. Is there a summary link for the activities / disboard members on the cruise?

I am assuming that this means Topsiders did not have the same menu served at the Captains Gala. I will check on the other threads to see if I can find someone who did eat there and see if anyone took a picture of the menu. Thanks for answering all of my questions. We had planned to stay on the ship in Costa Maya, but now I think I may check out the beach.

You all are very welcome! Did you look at the navi I uploaded? Shall I do the rest? PS I was talking with AManda01 today and we realized that soon we will be in the double digit dance! In just a few days! did anyone else notice?!?!woohoo! Also,
please remind me who has late dining? Amanda and I are already linked up, did anyone else want to join? We did this for our May cruise and it was so very fun, us DISers took up almost the left half pf the dining room!
