Does anyone have any suggestions for something to do for a couple of days after the cruise? Currently, I am booked at AKV for the 2 nights following the cruise, but my sister mentioned that she may want to go somewhere else instead. So what would you suggest? My current thoughts are either:

1) St. Augustine
2) Vero Beach

Since we cannot check in to a hotel until afernoon, we are heading to Kennedy Space center for the day and then down to Vero Beach until Sunday. We thought we could get some rest on the beach after the cruise. Last time we cruised, we were exhausted and just wanted to veg out, so this time that is exactly what we are going to do.

What. . . . She doesn't want to go to Disney!?! :confused3  Oh, my. LOL.

For me, if I couldn't go to Disney I think I would go to Vero. We have been there once, just looking around, and it looks so peaceful and relaxing. Plus, we have friends close by that we could visit. Good luck on making your choice.

Hey, we're going to be at AKV 2-8 to 2-12! You too?

Yes! We will be arriving at AKV on 2/7 and leaving on 2/14. Maybe we can meet up - even if it is to say "Hi!". It will be a bunch of us. My parents are driving from NJ & picking us up to drive to FL. Once we arrive, we will be meeting up with the FL contingent (those family members who already live in FL). We will be meeting my uncle & Corey's mom there. Corey's brother will meet us there on 2/10. It is a family reunion of sorts. Corey's birth father and his wife are trying to get a four night stay at their timeshare in the Orlando area and Corey's father might also come to visit for a day or too. My aunt & uncle might also come to see us as well. If you can't tell by now we have a BIG family. Whatever happens, it is going to be an exciting time.

I am jealous! Both if you get to go so Mickey! Have a great time and enjoy.

Thank you. I am sooooooooo loking forward to the trip.

:offtopic: Glad to be back to the board. Just spent the last 36 hours with Mom, She called yesterday morning. Said she didn't feel well. And wanted to go to urgent care. I picked up myself and my husband and 4yr old DGD and drove 35 min to pick her up. Sat in the waiting room for 1 hour and spent an another two hours in the exam room. while they treated her and ran tests. Turns out she has broncontis and an infection. She was in pretty bad shape. So I finally got lunch yesterday about 3:30 p.m. I was starved. Took mom home, Got her settled and took DH and DGD back to the house. Then I started packing. Not just for me, I also had to pack up DGD. You know those important things like clothes, favorite blanket, special foods, games anf toys. All so we could spend the night and take care of MOM, Mom was much better as the night went on. We ended up playing games until midnight, even the 4yr old. We laughed so much. After we got up, I had to take her back to urgent care so they could check her blood pressure. The snow started falling, And I hate driving in the snow. The good thing is. We didn't get much on the streets.

Oh well, I packed back up and headed home. I have been extremley tired ever since. Called Mom a little while ago and she is doing OK now. I hope everyone else's weekend was better than mine. I want this trip soon.

Marsha, it would be very cool if we could meet! Maybe we could check schedules and see if we have anything that coincides. It does sound like you're going to have a busy (but fun) week, though.

Dianne, we had a couple of years of being the sandwich generation, so I feel for you. I'm glad to hear your mom is doing better and hope she continues to improve. And I hate driving in snow big time too.

Thank you everyone for the continued good wishes and prayers. They are very much appreciated!

Had a fun day with my girlfriends yesterday. We met at one friends house in Wheeling and started the day looking at scrapbooks. All three of us who scrapbook have slightly different styles so it was fun to see what others have done.

After that we headed out to JoAnn Fabrics as our first stop. They were having a big sale and we all came out with at least one bag. I didn't buy much just 2 sets of straps for upcoming books, a replacement blade for my cutter and and a few embellishments. After that was lunch at a local sports bar. We then headed to Michael's where they were having a sale on adhesive so I got a replacement cartridge for my Xyron and some tacky tape. Last up was Archivers but by this time I was all shopped out so I didn't get anything. I did help my friend use their die cutters in the back and we were able to get some cute things for her daughters book she will be doing. It will be one of her gifts for college graduation.

All in all a fun day but a long one. Got home about 5 and pretty much just crashed for the rest of the day. I'm feeling it in my ankle this morning but not too bad.

Next up is getting together next Saturday for an all day crop.

Hey, Mary,
We had just about the same weekend. DD Kelly and I got together on Sat and scrapped, comparing pages and "stuff". We used each other's things. I made 14 pages!!! She always steals my pictures though...all of the photos of Makayls...I had to go and print out 5 pages of photos she robbed!! She always takes my best ones from Disney of Makayla...oh well. I don't do well shopping yet with my knees, so she ran to Michaels and to AC Moore's for me. My knees are so so stiff and they don't tolerate a lot of standing in one place at all. Darn. Shopping is limited...wish I had sent her to Joann's now.
Makayla spent the night and it was the first night she slept in our "nursery/kids" room. She decided she is now 4 and she can sleep in the bottom bunk bed...off to bed at 10pm and she didn't say a peep...woke up at 9:30. I was thrilled. Usually she sleeps with me, and throws grandpa out...and she wakes me up all night telling me that I am snoring...great. She was so good today. She just wanted to help me with my scrapbooking.
One more week home and then I have to return to work....yuk. I love my job, but I don't know abour going back yet.
Blessings,
Susan

Good morning everyone - happy Monday!

Well I called MS and added my sister Sandi to the cruise this afternoon. I was a little surprised that they had to cancel my reservation and rebook it to add Sandi. Ok let's be honest, I was a little nervous. But it all worked out.

However, they did have to move us to late dining due to availability. The CM said that she put us on the waiting list for main dining. But in reality, either one if fine.

Mary, I will send you the updated information.

We have a Member Gallery Update! Come and meet Robbie's sister Sandi!

We've done Vero a couple of times and enjoyed it. It is very low key compared to Disney but still a very nice resort. Since the cruise is your idea what does she want to do? There are so many things to do in the Central Florida area. Maybe Sea World, dare I say Universal. I didn't care for Universal but I know others like it a lot. We love Sea World.

I've never been to St. Augustine so can't help there.

It was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to next weekend when we actually do the scrapping. What fun that Makayla got to spend the night!

Good Morning Mary.
I wish you would stop sending all your COLD WEATHER to us here in MAINE:lmao::lmao:.
Nancy and I are heading to Boston WED on the Amtrack from Portland to Boston to see a Celtics game . It's our Christmas present to each other and of course we are due for a Snow Storm WED. At least we will be taking the train.
YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY MARY:grouphug:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:.

Boy it is going to be a long day :crazy2: . My DH is the IT guy for the county courthouse, where I also work, and the sheriff's office called at 1:45 this morning saying the computers were down. :crazy2: So he had to come in at 2 this morning and get them going again. Of course I was awake until he came back home around 2:45. Had a hard time going to sleep again and then the alarm went off at 5:30. So it was a short night for us. My eyes are definitely droopy today. Not a good way to start the week. Oh, well, I'm sure I will catch up tonight. At least I hope so!

Happy Monday everyone. :flower3:

That sounds like a plan. I keep changing my ADRs but I do know what parks we will be in for the day. The ADRs that will not change are Boma for breakfast on 2/8 @ 8:50 & Crystal Palace for lunch on 2/11 @ 12:55. Our plan is to enjoy the resort on most evenings since we have a little one. But, I do want to see Spectromagic while I am there.

BoosGram & BigDog - I am so jealous. I would love to be going down to Disney right about now. Even if it is chilly down there, it ain't nothing compared to here! :rotfl: Have a great time! Can't wait to hear about your trips. :flower3:

Thank you. I saw on GMA this morning that it is supposed to be 71 in Orlando today. I hope we have that type of temperature when we go.
